Love love love Summer Lee Knits sock designs, she has a fabulous use of colour. I recommend her book because it includes a few different ways of doing heels etc so you can work out what you like best. I have seen a review that gave critical feedback that it was lacking a simple diagram of basic sock construction so if you’ve never knit a sock this might be a good book to get after you find a basic vanilla sock pattern that you like (personally I think the chatty instructions and photos included are more than enough to navigate your first socks and for any individual confusion there is always a UA-cam tutorial 😊). Looking forward to future episodes, you are already very natural and easy to watch on camera 👍🏻
Ahh I love Agnes! You had great energy in this video and I love seeing all your projects and plans! I think the sock pattern you were thinking of will look great with that set!
I picked knitting back up for the first time seriously (was originally a crocheter) my final year of my doctorate in Physical Therapy. Highly recommend for stressful school seasons :)
Great first podcast :) hi from a fellow ex-med student! I love those Berlin scarves :D I learned Sock Knitting from the Crazy Sock Lady and do reference her video tutorial if i haven't knitted a sock in a long time ... Summer Lee Knits has very nice patterns to upgrade that basic sock, and i've been eyeing some very beautiful Sari Nordlund designs for my next sock.
Love this! Can't wait to see more 🙂I am just about to graduate from nursing school & I've knit my whole life! You're awesome it's nice to watch someone I can relate to :)
You did a great job!!! I love your real personality. You’re not hiding anything. We all do the same thing. Read a pattern?!?! Looking forward to the next podcast.
Hallo Agnes and Ali!! Love your knits, you are really good. I am so scared to knit wardrobe stuff!!! I can highly recommend Crazy Sock Lady to have a plain vanilla sock pattern. If it comes to socks, Kay is the sock queen!!!! Look forward to episodes 2!!
Happy first podcast! 🎉🙂 I love your pink slipover. It makes me want to knit something bright and fun for spring. For socks, I’d suggest checking out the Crazy Sock Lady’s UA-cam tutorials. She has lots of great tips and tutorials no matter what needles you’re using to go along with her free vanilla sock patterns. Hermione’s Everyday Socks and Rye by Tincanknits are also nice free ones.
Enjoyed your podcast! Looking forward to more. I like the Crazy Sock Lady's patterns, especially her vanilla sock and the way she does pops of color at the top. She has a podcast and is on Ravelry. Btw, I like your swatch wall.
Ally, really enjoyed your First podcast episode! You did such a great job, certainly didn't seem like your first. Love your Field cardigan and the Berlin scarf, put them both in my Ravelry cart! Thanks for you yarn review also! Will look forward to your next podcast and your beautiful projects! From S. California 🦋
Well, I think you're off to a great start! I'm looking forward to watching your podcast again in the future and seeing how everything goes! (Also, hadn't seen the Berlin scarf pattern before- I'm going to have to look into that, as it's really cute, and I've got a long plane ride in my future...)
I also bought the In My Chiefs Era sock set because I am also a huge Swiftie who has been a huge Chiefs fan for years (my life got really fun lol), and I decided I'd only buy it if they won, aaaand they kept their end of the bargain lol KnittyNatty has a sock pattern with little footballs on it so I'm going to knit those with it!
Really enjoyed your video! I am currently knotting the Oslo hat, but I have a lot of trouble with the sizing... somehow it always ends up to small and I am re-knitting it for the third time now 😅 I am really looking forward to start my Berlin scarf for this winter!
Hey Ally! I just started my Knitting UA-cam as well! 🥂🥂✨ so twins!!! Love your sock plans! I have one languishing sock WIP at the moment…but I do feel a sock era coming on 😂 All-be-it an extremely slow one 🐌

I loooove the Berlin scarf. I am thinking of using the Meloby by DROPS as well. How much balls did you use? :)

One of the easiest follows of my life!! ❤ Isn't it crazy how the years spiral? I can't believe I've also been knitting for four years now! 😅

Great first podcast 🎉😊. My go to for sock patterns is Summer Lee knits, you can check her out. She has great videos on her channel and tutorials.
