It’s ok you don’t need to swatch for socks! Even Summer Lee says that. Your sock is the swatch, you just need to measure (and maybe block) it when it has some length on it.

Hi Ally! Lovely to knit while watching this episode. About the intarsia, you CAN knit it in the round, I followed a Suzanne Bryan tutorial to knit my Bow Knot Sweater and it worked great ;)

Grab some elastic thread and sew it around your armholes to tighten them up.

Was also thinking about the cloud top! Maybe I should consider to make one for this summer still 👀 Loved listening to your podcast!

I recently did some hat surgery and had to kitchener all the way around to use up stash yarn on the hidden side because I ran out of the main yarn! It was quite the project, but worth it in the end haha. Also that ivy colorway looks fantastic with your eye color!

If you really don’t like the Meriwool, I would donate the sweater to a homeless shelter and the WIP I would put in a ziplock bag with the rest of the yarn and a note about the pattern and donate it. Any leftover skeins I would donate, scraps I would toss in the bin. Just let it all go.

Loved this video!! Thanks for sharing more tank ideas for the summer! I used Pound of Love to knit a whole Wednesday Sweater by Petite Knit and had only about 6g left over! I am very excited to see the beach set you mentioned!!! Just used that stroll in some socks and LOVED it and wanted to share that my sock scraps go towards a beekeeper’s quilt that will likely never be done haha. I vote a big yes to remaking your Harlow since you loved it so much!!

I love those Berlin scarves :D I learned Sock Knitting from the Crazy Sock Lady and do reference her video tutorial if i haven't knitted a sock in a long time ... Summer Lee Knits has very nice patterns to upgrade that basic sock, and i've been eyeing some very beautiful Sari Nordlund designs for my next sock.

I picked knitting back up for the first time seriously (was originally a crocheter) my final year of my doctorate in Physical Therapy. Highly recommend for stressful school seasons :)

Love love love Summer Lee Knits sock designs, she has a fabulous use of colour. I recommend her book because it includes a few different ways of doing heels etc so you can work out what you like best. I have seen a review that gave critical feedback that it was lacking a simple diagram of basic sock construction so if you’ve never knit a sock this might be a good book to get after you find a basic vanilla sock pattern that you like (personally I think the chatty instructions and photos included are more than enough to navigate your first socks and for any individual confusion there is always a UA-cam tutorial 😊). Looking forward to future episodes, you are already very natural and easy to watch on camera 👍🏻
