I have flown in an Aurora exactly 1 time. I was stranded at a crash site near Bezdek because the Cutty backup blew my ship to pieces. The Aurora was there, flyable, and the doors were both open. I flew it for about 10 seconds to Bezdek and switched to my 85X to get back to port.
Aurora is great. Two entry points, each with stairs instead of a ladder. Meaning you can carry 3 guns at once onto it each trip. And 3 scu cargo can also be used with you own containers making it great for bunker running imho. Room inside for packages or drugs, and a bed which can be used to take s/o with. All benefits the Mustang does not have
I have the MR, LN and LX, and one thing that seem to surprise most people when I tell them is the fact that the Aurora LN/LX versions are among the most stealthy ships in game.even if they are strictly not stealth ships :)
I was really thinking about getting a Razor Ex due to stealth, but the Aurora LN is about as stealthy but has cargo, an interior and a bed...plus its 1/3 of the price of the Ex so really not sure now. I have a referral Aurora ES so its pretty cheap to CCU to the LN.
My first pledge ship, back in 2014, was the LN. Loved that little stinker back then but, haven't touched an Aurora because it's still in it's 2014-ish state. Needs some love.
Expecting a rework. Also, the different variants were meant to be a little more distinctive. The LX as an example says it's a Pathfinding / Luxury ship. But it's currently missing the "Luxury" changes. I'm expecting it to have a similar theme and Loadout (brands) to the Constellation Phoenix. The MR is a militia ship. So easier to maintain and a little tougher than the LN which is a more tuned pure combat ship has the best DPS. This is the differentiation that has been ignored / forgotten for far too long. Hopefully in the future they will fix them. Only time will tell.
Great video as always! I love this little ship, and have a feeling it will only get worse in atmo (as many ships will) over time, making it useful only in space combat. I am also curious to see what they do with the component access.
Before the Arrow could lower its wings in landing, this was one of the better ships to fit in the hanger of the Carrack, if you wanted a combat ship instead on a C8. Still a competitor though when it comes to choosing one or the other.
Wings don't fold out a far as I know: it was never intended, though it would look cool ;-) Also the Aurora's will be able to carry SCU cargo crates in the rear (ua-cam.com/video/UvDs7RDKCag/v-deo.html)
They always looked like they could open up almost like the scorpius but maybe not as far. It’ll be interesting to see these ships after they get a rework, as of right now it’s had to find where components will go without moving stuff around.
I hope they never do, the small cross section is an asset in a dogfight and the larger profile of open wings would be a liability. I love flying this ship in combat. 🙂
This is going to be an interesting year for SC let's hope they keep the pace going, also I forgot to mention that it was a good video, keep up the good workl! @@EvenLease44
@@AmanoEu lol, it does look great for sure. There are some really neat fan made aurora concepts I remember seeing. One thing I really like about the current implementation is you can transport it in a Hercules.
From my research on the ship, Erkul shows you can remove the gimbles on the wings and replace with size 2 weapons. I planned on testing it my self shortly.
@@EvenLease44 that is awesome, hope its not a bug, i have an LN from a SQ42 package, ill use it more now, ive seen ppl take the CL cargo pod and put on the other versions, making it 6 SCU, not sure if it still works.

@@honey-fe6pj Just remember that the Auroras handle like crap while in atmo at any speed exceeding SCM

YAY!
I want this ship INGAME!
Great video series dude!
Keep up the great F'KN work!
YOU ROCK!

Love this ship. It stings if it has to, has a log out bed, decent everything.
This variant of the Aurora is one of my preferred PVP dog fighting ships. I usually run two sides two distortion repeaters end two size one bulldogs
Do you use it more hit and run? It doesn't have much of a health pool and is quite long. Curious honestly!

How do you lower the arrow's wings in landing?
"engine are on" WOW!
I like the Aurora. If it wasn’t for the mustang beta I’d own one
The auroras are a cool ship until you fly them in atmosphere
The cargo sled can be swapped with the cargo variant increasing it to 6. Not much but interesting to test out.

I have a pledge ES more for the fact of having bare bones cheapest ship in the game. I do not mind it. And there is just something about flying one.
Tell us about the S2 guns, i dont think it is possible, altought gimbaled the hardpoints are all S1 arent they?

@@EvenLease44ill try that when i get home too, it would make the LN far superior than the other Auroras.
@ViniciusConsorte I just tested it and it does indeed work. two sized two non gimbled on the wings and the stock size ones on the front

@@ViniciusConsorteI encourage you to spend some time with it, it isn't flashy but it gets the job done.
I have never had an aurora
I have the Ln but never use it.
Tbh this and the mustang aren't going to get the gold pass Cuz they aren't real ship, lol
They are just package entry.
