For everyone who is in disagreement with me on the Starlancer. FIrst I'm not saying it CAN'T be the BLD. My official take is that we are getting more than just the MAX. My opinion for why none of us can be 100% sure on this being the BLD is based on two objective facts. TMK, the light bar is shown on every image and video clip we have on the MAX, and is NEVER shown on the TAC or BLD. There is nothing shown in the teaser that suggests its the BLD or the TAC. We only know for sure that it is a Starlancer. At the end of the day it would be illogical for them to hold off on the TAC because making a combat variant at the same time or just after the MAX would save development time & cost. Holding off on the BLD due to base building being 12-18mo away seems logical. The max releasing during IAE is irrelevant. The Anvil Terrapin Med-Evac was clearly shown on the showroom floor of IAE and it is teased. The date has been officially set for MAX, the year is officially set for TAC, and the BLD is TBD. LLAP!
I think everyone is wrong. When they introduced the Starlancer they said they are going to introduce the first 3 of the family(max,Tac and Build). I believe this one to be a fourth they havnt talked about.
I see an indentation where the lights are on the TAC in the picture you showed from the site. It's the same color paint as the rest of the nose, but has an outline. To me, it could be any of them.
Thought the MAX was coming out during IAE so it's got to be Either the TAC or the BLD. They technically already showed off the TAC and are selling it. so not sure why they would include it in this sort of sneek view. I kinda think that only leaves the BLD. (Unless it is another variant) You dismissed the BLD mentioning that base building ships would be to early but it's clear the Pioneer is also one these sneek peek ships.
I think its both variants, just like how they only showed the Ironclad but will almost certainly release the Ironclad Assault alongside it. These variants are very easy for them to produce so the only time they wont make one is if the tech for it isn't already in like with the Spirit E1 for instance.
@@CyberneticArgumentCreator This is classic automobile design, save manufacturing cost by having the front bumper be identical on all models but some get the indentation filled in with a feature. Parking sensor, fog lights, paint, etc.. It is 100% plausible that they didn't add the led lights to the BLD or TAC yet. But since that light is on nothing but the max, the teased ship is either the MAX or we don't know. You cannot say with certainty its the BLD or TAC because there is no proof of that. Evidence points to MAX, but its plausible they will add the lightbar to the rest later.
I think the reason they have SCU boxes next to basically every ship is so we have an accurate sense of scale. Last year we just had a person that was an ok but imperfect measuring tool. 12:37 Regarding your doubts that this ship is the Mirai Gurdian: it is important to note that the old teaser shows the Guardian hovering above the ground without its landing gear deployed. The ship in the new leak, however, has its gear down, which could possibly indicate that the differences in the shape of the "wings" towards the front of the ship are simply due to the fact they rotate/rearticulate when the gear is down to accommodate for landing similar to the wings of the Corsair/Scorpius. This would mean that the thinner cross section is visible from the side during flight, while the thicker side rotates down when the gear is deployed. Just a theory. Also, about the scale of the man next to the ship: it is probably just a discrepancy due to the perspective & angle of the camera shots.
Your thoughts on the perspective are 100% true. I myself noticed the different stance. But even if you take that into account it's still larger than this teaser. And I don't understand why they would add humans to give you the sense of scale and then adjust the camera to throw it off. If you are correct then the first teaser the human is farther away than the ship, and In the new teaser it is closer than the ship. Why add humans for perspective and not place them as close to the ship as you can? Furthermore they had just told us we are getting the Polaris, Intrepid, and Guardian this year. Why don't we have new teasers for the Polaris and intrepid?
I agree with on this one. This silhouette has a certain biological element to it that the guardian we know about does not have like the wings can articulate like claws. I think this is either a smaller Guardian type ship or a Banu fighter @@SubliminaLstv

15:50. ive have been saying since the vulture came out "man i hope they take the prospector platform and just make it a salvage ship using the bags." and with cargo elevators and being able to buy the bags now its making even more sense in my head that it will use the bags.
The unknow ship starting at around 18:00, my first guess was anvil, because of the cockpit. Using the cockpit of the carrack and scale that down you get something like that. Also anvil is lacking a decent sized medium ship that is interesting in my opinion so.
My friend had an interesting theory about the atlas platform one. Since they talked about how you'd NEED to assault shielded bases from the ground, his guess was that it was some kind of mobile operation command center.
One thing I want to point out is that this year they never actually said these were ships they were hoping to release in the next 12 months like they said the year before. The words John Crewe used were, "let's have quick a look at some, emphasis on some, of the vehicles that we're working on in the next 12 months". So hopefully people aren't setting themselves up for disappoint and think they were promised something the team at CIG never made.
Just wanted to mention about the tracker mk2 the person kneeling next to the ship is probably checking data cores. I can see how having external data access like the herald would be extremely useful on a scout ship.
Really excited for the Greycat one, hopefully its a ursa competitor with scu space inside. If it is it's also likely modular because of the shaping around the back
Hey man, I used your code to buy a set of Predator Mounts for my sticks. He's MIA, the discord is read only and people haven't gotten their stuff for like a year. Would be cool to hear you address this, maybe take down affiliate links etc. Thanks man
@Kurashinno he has addressed it in the discord before it went read-only, and on his stream. I'm one of the ones waiting since Nov 2023. You're best bet is to try to get a charge back from your bank if it hasn't been too long.
The nose on vehicle 10 also reminds me of the anvil design of older ships with sensors or cooling intakes inside a boxy stub and a straight cockpit frame similar to the Hawk. But more likely it‘s an angular Drake Cockpit frame like anyone suspects 😅 Just wanted to throw it out there 😉
Loving the fact that the Intrepid comes with its gun built into the wing - that's a first. Would have made a lot of sense in the case of the Reliant line-up. Well, one can dream.
For the mystery vehicle 9 I can think of two potential matches with some parts that don't fit. Primarily for their flat profile. Of course these could be completely wrong. -Liberator, the cylindrical engines in the back are missing. But it would be useful for Pyro if we need to haul ships and ground vehicles for the sandworm fight. -Arrasta, doesn't have the dual turret on the front side. But it does have the little fins in the back nacelle and otherwise might fit the silhouette from the perspective given.
Always appreciate your videos. Highly accurate and informative. The Drake Command Pod - What if it is an Origin science or explorer? They do have a series with flippy wings.
@3:08 you can see this ground vehicle and the Drake vehicle in the IAE fly through they showed during CitizenCon, the ground vehicle is on the left and the Drake ship on the right of the RSI ship in the middle!
Armed, ground based fuel tanker is a sensible concept... Especially after they mentioned something about it not being always a good idea to take off with your ships. It would be a lot safer to fuel on the ground during those storms.
The greycat is probably an armored tracked infantry transport, similar to an M2 Bradley in scope. Or, instead of infantry, ir carries cargo in that boxy back
I hope you are correct about the Appolo. Many have been waiting years for that one. I think the FL is a size 4 or 5 on the Crusader starter. I saw some screenshot of a medical Terrapin. That would be cool as well.
Hornet Ghost: The Stealth Device should be a specific item on the Power Bar menu that needs a lot of power and cooling. You'd have to turn off guns and maybe shields to use it, just like the Quantum Drive.
I think what 7 th8 k is the Apollo might be the aegis Vulcan. It makes more sense toothan having multiple healing vehicles at once. Plus with pyro, rearm and refuel going to be more prevalent.
I think you were for the most part right. I think the second one MIGHT be the Argo MCV crafting vehicle, but the headlight thing might be right. Could well be Greycat like you said so I'll defer to you on that one. The Guardian... we're at a different angle than last time to complicate matters... it might a Guardian variant though. I think it is the Guardian though. So just those two that I think you missed... Guardian and Intrepid. You got the Apollo and a lot of people are missing it. Great job, great video!
I know the angle is different but the human for scale is off. If the humans are for scale why use them to deceive us? Guardian variant sure, but since when are variants significantly smaller? One thing I just saw is this ship people are saying is the intrepid seems to have a bottom turret using the crusader style like the MSR. They show the intrepid on the IAE showroom floor and there is no bottom turret. Why would a starter ship have a turret? I just see too many things that dont match lol.
For that second hornet, both the hornets and the F8 lightnings from the citizen-con SQ42 gameplay cut scenes looked as if they had extra “wings“ or fins. The silhouette of the second hornet kind of looks like the squadron 42 hornet from the cut scenes.
Spartan platform vehicle, possibly a larger base building drone carrier? As CIG likes having competition between manufacturers, such as the reclaimer and vulture for salvaging? For medical Terrapin, rescue, leatherback. As far as the "make sense" Max first over tac and same time, I refer you too CIG releasing the A1 spirit bomber before the C1 Spirit cargo. They were released separately as the A1 was the loaner for those like me who pledged the C1.
The Anvil ground vehicle is a troop transport, it was mentioned years ago. Drake Tug, Can tow ships and or haul cargo boxes behind it like a space truck (best guess).
I think #2 might be a construction vehicle based on the Ursa Rover frame. Similar to the Med-evac and the Lynx. Similarly, I think that #3 is also a construction vehicle built on the Atlas Platform. Many point out the turret on top, claiming that construction equipment doesn't need a turret, but I would remind them that the UEE still needs to build forward bases and that the easiest land to claim will undoubtedly be in lawless systems. Having a bit of anti-air or anti-personel defense will be useful. Don't know why, but #7 gives me crucible vibes. Maybe a small repair ship? I like the idea that #12 might be the Starlancer BLD. There is a lot of construction equipment making its way into the game over the next year. I hope that the Galaxy ends up being one of the surprise ships we get between now and then.
"u guys can formulate your own opinion" my friend, my dear friend! you are the specialist, you are the meta-star citizen-player. i think most here watch your content because of YOUR opinion :D lov u
I was surprised to see the ironclad on the list of short term deliverables. Feeling much better about that ccu. Thanks for this in depth look at each ship. Im hoping the salvage prospector will be good but ill stick with the vulture probably
I think they shortened the "crafting truck" because they can't make vehicles with a swivel function without developing stuff to allow for that first, so they just made it short so they can release it easily with base building
They made it shorter specifically so it can fit into more ships' cargo bays; which is also probably also why you can't stack boxes 2SCU high even though it should be capable of it
@@secondimpact7836 WYM? cutty has vtol engines... Spirit has VTOL, Cutter has VTOL...they have rotation axis mechanics in the game already. Frankly, we just don't have a need for it since we do not have a use for "dumping" since this is mostly used to deposit granular objects (sand, dirt, snow, etc) which is not possible to have in a game of this scope/scale/quality (hardware limit).
I think you are right about the Guardian. So we get heavy and Mid size... and 2026 with the Misc lineup we get the light fighter. The Fury for me is to be used in atmo from a base. Its range is small, no quantum... it is a short rage fighter. We are going to get a light fighter at some point
Based on its landing gear and assuming it's a port-side rear quarter-view of the ship (45 degree angle between the side and back views), ship #9 is probably the Intrepid, imo. Also you can spot its 2 doors (cockpit and side door) by the door panels and floor hazard stripes in the IAE showroom preview. The Drake ship is maybe a garbage recycler, which is as close to crafting as you'd want a Drake ship to get.
Some good guessing going on here, lol. I think I agree with most of what you said. Spotting the headlights on the potential Greycat vehicle was a good call. I also agree about the Apollo. However, I think your wrong re Starlancer MAX which, I reckon, is actually the Starlancer builder. Also, I think IAE will give us the Intrepid so it's not part of these teases... might be the Galaxy builder though.
Awesome! I really agree with your speculations. i do not think they repeat ships on the slide which i've been seeing a lot. The blue slides are ships they will start working on 2025 so if we are lucky we get them by IAE'25 or start of '26
As an owner of a Redeemer, I've been looking forwards to the perceus. Especially since the Redeemer was downgraded from a Gunship into a Multi-crew 'Heavy Fighter'. I don't think I'll be able to stop myself from buying one the moment it comes up for sale.
I am a Perseus fan as well, Also Ares ION owner. I try to tell everyone CIG has a track record of not balancing these large weapons correctly. I anticipate when it first drops it will be OP and have to get nerfed. Hopefully before it goes to live it is in a good spot. It may even get nerfed again months or a year later if it becomes "too popular". Most games use popularity to determine what ships need nerfing. I guess its a good practice, nerf what everyone is using and buff what no one is using.
they would delay the ironclad assault cause it has a fabricator for building/repairs and crafting in general. if you own the assault you'll likely get the base ironclad as a loaner when that comes out tho.
A single S4 on the Intrepid would be pretty limiting, giving it about the same firepower as a Cutter (just a tad more). So I'm hoping it'll be a single S5 to set it apart from the other ships around it's class just below those that have a S4 + 2x S3 (Avengers, 325a) but above those with 3x S3 (300i,, Syulen) without the ability to mix loadout. Pros and cons, etc. The asymmetrical design calls to the MSR / Ares and the single large gun for it's class to the latter for sure...very Crusader. That FL canon may be a placeholder but I'd love to see them expanding that series up to S5. Either way I think I'm most excited for this ship at IAE!
16:00 maybe they're bowing to my screaming and making my Propsector MAX! Holy sheet - just like I asked! Pilot gets size2, copilot beside you gets a size1 support laser and can do other things onboard, including a SMALL refinery (not like the dedicated refinery ship.)
I think there is more to the starlancer tac than the max. The little hangar, drop bay and those large turrets will take longer to add in, so only the max will be available at IAE.
Excited for the intrepid! Hope it's a starter pack. Eyeballing the TAC, Mirai Guardian and med Terrapin, looks like this years ship releases wil be better than last year by a mile! They need to get the servers out of degraded and working (5 days now) by IAE if the goal is attracting new players and selling ships though.😮💨
The Starlancer model is likely the BLD, since the MAX is coming this year and that panel is for NEXT year. Otherwise I'd think TAC if you could see the guns, but maybe save for INVICTUS?
Vehicle 7 is not the Mirai Guardian (or at least the base version) as these are vehicles that will be worked on next year, but they already said that all the ships shown last year will be released by the end of the year except for the Legionnaire. I believe that it is a variant of the Guardian, maybe more torp/missile focused like the Fury MX or a QED variant as leaks have suggested.
17:50 i'd like to take a stab in the dark and say that the unfamiliar design characteristics might be due to us seeing a new Small-Medium Consolidated Outland ship. The active production of the Pioneer means that there will be assets and adjacent ideas forming, and can fill a void in that lineup with a ship nobody really expects. And it have a strange flat pancake shape resembles the Pioneer design a bit.
Vehicle 9 says consolidated outland to me because of the very strong flat lines. Drake ship looks like a bounty hunter in the vein of Slave 1 vertical layout.
I would like to see the Atlas platform dragging various trailers. I'm not sure CIG has even considered trailers behind ground vehicles. And I imagine more tech and coding to make trailers work in game.
That Drake command shuttle thing might be a shuttle for boarding actions. The weird base would be for locking on to an airlock and then hacking/overriding it.
The only issue with that is that CIG has said that they are moving all docking collars to be on the sides of ships (instead of on top or bottom). We've even seen them move the docking collars to the side on ships like the Retaliator.

Good video, thanks for your thoughts on the vehicles/ships.
thanks!
My friend had an interesting theory about the atlas platform one.
Since they talked about how you'd NEED to assault shielded bases from the ground,
his guess was that it was some kind of mobile operation command center.
A tracked rover/APC would be pretty freaking cool.
I'm really happy about the Terrapin Medi-.. Gamera! But a rather small Crusader ship is also nice to have for sure.
Just wanted to mention about the tracker mk2 the person kneeling next to the ship is probably checking data cores. I can see how having external data access like the herald would be extremely useful on a scout ship.
That's definitely the MISC Fortune/Fortuna/salvage starter.
The leaks talked about a "cargo elevator" and that definitely has one.
I'm just hoping that it has several times the cargo capacity as the Vulture.
Really excited for the Greycat one, hopefully its a ursa competitor with scu space inside. If it is it's also likely modular because of the shaping around the back
OMG, Terrapin Medivac got me feelin feelings. Can't wait, I love my terrapin.
Awesome video @SubliminaL! Which Programm are you using/ we are seeing in the background?
The nose on vehicle 10 also reminds me of the anvil design of older ships with sensors or cooling intakes inside a boxy stub and a straight cockpit frame similar to the Hawk. But more likely it‘s an angular Drake Cockpit frame like anyone suspects 😅 Just wanted to throw it out there 😉
Loving the fact that the Intrepid comes with its gun built into the wing - that's a first. Would have made a lot of sense in the case of the Reliant line-up. Well, one can dream.
Brand new here, love the informative content!
great breakdown... but I think that is the intrepid... will be fun to find out next year :)
Keep up the good work!
Appreciate it!
Must say I agree with your guesses on the ships.
@3:08 you can see this ground vehicle and the Drake vehicle in the IAE fly through they showed during CitizenCon, the ground vehicle is on the left and the Drake ship on the right of the RSI ship in the middle!
And vehicle four is also shown and named in a video where they said Bault flies it or likes it, if I stumble over it I'll come back here!
Or, instead of infantry, ir carries cargo in that boxy back
sounds very good!
33:35 yeah the second big turret is here. Love your vids
NICE! If it weren't I would have a problem with that lol.
I thought the MISC Starlancer shown was the Build... I was kinda hoping it was anyway... I'm glad you followed your Opinion with an explanation...
For #10 it could be the shuttle that they referenced that you would use to fly to your ship rather than place an insurance claim.
I hope you are correct about the Appolo. Many have been waiting years for that one. I think the FL is a size 4 or 5 on the Crusader starter. I saw some screenshot of a medical Terrapin. That would be cool as well.
Great insights!
I am so looking forward to Starlancer Tac !
I could see the Ghost having shielded cargo for black ops missions
The troop transport is already in game. The Spartan. Has been for a long time.
I'm leaning on what he said. But maybe a medical.
My guess for the Drake ship: Cutlass MK II. CIG loves MK II stuff in recent times.
That stubby ship with the folded wings could be a mineral extraction ship. (the one you have listed as the Drake command module/shuttle)
I hope that the Galaxy ends up being one of the surprise ships we get between now and then.
the tracked vehicle is an armored personnel carrier, definitely gonna be useful for assaulting bases
"u guys can formulate your own opinion" my friend, my dear friend! you are the specialist, you are the meta-star citizen-player. i think most here watch your content because of YOUR opinion :D lov u
Settle down
I was surprised to see the ironclad on the list of short term deliverables. Feeling much better about that ccu. Thanks for this in depth look at each ship. Im hoping the salvage prospector will be good but ill stick with the vulture probably
im happy as hell that my ironclad wont take years to make and i will get it before i die of old age.
I think they shortened the "crafting truck" because they can't make vehicles with a swivel function without developing stuff to allow for that first, so they just made it short so they can release it easily with base building
That is the same reason the Cutty black can't swivel it's engines. They couldn't make it work.
Number 8 looks like a mining head attached, leaks talked about a medium misc ship with salvage, so possibly a mining salvage combo ship
If we are not calling this the Med-Pin then we are missing out on something epic!
We'll be lucky to get half that includes the ships that were supposed to make it in this year.
they would delay the ironclad assault cause it has a fabricator for building/repairs and crafting in general. if you own the assault you'll likely get the base ironclad as a loaner when that comes out tho.
If it’s the Drake command module maybe that right wing folds to a 90 degree and goes flush into the hull of the receiving vessel.
Vehicle #2 could be another base building drone carrier. Perhaps large drones. And perhaps two versions like the Argo CSV
The number 8 ship that you think on the left of it is a lift I think it is like what is built into the pioneer legs a resource tapping connection.
The CSV-FM has a way different silhouette compared to the one they showed in the teaser. Look closer at the transition from the cab to the bed
Someone mentioned that the starlancer reminds them of serenity from firefly....and now i need one
Pilot gets size2, copilot beside you gets a size1 support laser and can do other things onboard, including a SMALL refinery (not like the dedicated refinery ship.)
nobody? awww booooo
Good sleuthing. Though I have to say, I am a bit sad that the Ironclad was brought online before the Liberator.
Think the Drake ship is a boarding ship like the Legionnaire. Those circle things at the front could be where it attaches and makes airlock
I really enjoyed citcon this year. IAE is gonna be interesting.
Yeah, this year's CitizenCon was pretty hype!
The Atlas platform is what I'd hoped to see a flatbed cargo truck of
For that matter, an Ursa variant with the cabin cut off beyond the side door to make the rear portion open-topped would be nice as well.
I would like to see the Atlas platform dragging various trailers.
I'm not sure CIG has even considered trailers behind ground vehicles.
And I imagine more tech and coding to make trailers work in game.
I'm curious to see the Hornet Ghost MKII. I have the OG Ghost it's a favorite of mine.
