The picture quality Stephen of this video, is absolutely perfect. It was a joy to watch, I didn’t realise Blackpool had so many different areas to it. The Blackpool Tower ( beacon of hope), always looks stunning at night when illuminated,
Really appreciate the fact that you are now posting a video at 19.00 hours daily. Alot of commitment and time by yourself however do realise that it is appreciated by many of us😊
Another great one Stephen with lots of local information I like your night ones because I never go out at night so it's nice to see safely from my sofa. Thanks 👍🎉🎉
Hi Sephen, the waste land in Chadwick Street was the site of a lovely little club called the Blackpool Trades Club, used it many times in the seventies & eighties also the Central Working mens Club.
The day nursery on Salthouse avenue used to be a Sunday school, I went there every Sunday. Also on Kent road next to the Central Working men’s club was Harry Jacks and sons roofing contractors, they are still around but based in Lytham now.
@ I used to live there. It was a great place to be brought up. Full of life. Its struggled for the last few decades but it does seem to be picking and smartening up. Hope they succeed.
Top video sir! Ryan Harvey was the Walsall fan that died, I’m a Walsall fan myself and it was truly chilling what happened. All the best and keep the content coming…. Smithy
I used to go to the Tempo Espresso ☕️ in the 70’s to play on the pinball machine they had decent coffee too it was directly facing the Shangrila cafe. The only remaining businesses left from the early 70’s from the George pub area are Threlfalls bakery and Athertons carpets. I was living on Central drive when Ibbison street came down.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool I’ve just had a look on Google earth, in the 90’s there was a kebab shop at number 131 but haven’t a clue on the name, next doors double fronted property was a betting shop and I think next door to that would’ve been Tempo

Thank you for another walkabout video Stephen, I do enjoy them you know. Blackpools Beacon of Hope looks lovely in its red and white colours against the night sky. You'll need to save up to get yourself a bass guitar, do agree they sound good. Thought it was going to be kicking off in Blackpool when you mentioned police. Seeing a Bobby on the beat is unusual these days one on their own especially. It's to be hoped they build more than the Central car park. 😊
Central Drive is famously not great at all now but it's been tough for a long time. I remember the Gazette running a headline calling it 'The Bronx of Blackpool' as far back as about 1994. Considerably worse now perhaps. Re - Tempo was the name of the Coffee Shop - i think way before my/your time it was one of the rock 'n' roll cafes that teens went to like The Beehive.
I used to have a late night restaurant behind the Tower called Blazes. We used to issue red take keys to selected customers and not did we party till the early hlhfs. No booze license but plenty of "bring your own". We were a few yards from Brian London's night club.

Another enjoyable night time video, always find something different! ----- talking of something different lots of comments about you getting a Bass Guitar 🎸 ---- has the Bass Beer connection!... Come On!... perhaps you could learn the Bass line to David Bowie's "Starman" ... keep safe out there!.
@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool I've been trying to look up the name, without success so far. It was definitely a working men's club of some sort. Another great video Stephen, you just love Central Drive don't you 😂 I can picture you standing in your Halloween costume and playing the black electric guitar 🎸🎸 I've got to say that it's really very unusual to see a single policeman on the beat never mind himself, it's mostly for health and safety reasons these days.
I remember going along to the Mecca Tiffany's on Central Drive around June of 1982 and it was all locked up. It was still open in 1981 though. I have no idea why it closed?. Tiffany's and The Highland Room were always busy.
Around every corner is something different and the wet ground really gave the lights a good reflection, Maybe the round planter should of gone over the hole on the platform but they built it in the wrong place, You sure that copper wasn't following you? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ vlog
