After owning at least 13 of these packouts for 5 years and watching these videos all the time I've realized the real goal of these things is for us contractors to clear up floor space and to go to home depot less often because our inventory and organization has expanded dramatically
100 Percent!
Maybe not a goal of, but a consequence of more well prepared behavior. Less gas waste too. But the drive can be good for some.
Love when people say "for OCD reasons" you dont have ocd because you wouldnt have left that plywood line on your roof uneven. Your picky but you are not ocd
Right, except I look at it all the time ... even though I plan on adding trim, I know about it ..
I agree weedygaf
@@JakeOfALLso, basically you’re a procrastinating OCD’er… Lol..! 🤘
Psychiatrist here...love it when people's whole personality is "iM oCD" and their comment demonstrates they don't understand what OCD is as defined by the DSM5...😂
A shame you don’t have a bigger garage. Can only imagine the amount of new ideas and content more space would get you/us. Well done!
Looks amazing and after seeing this, I’m going to take out my old metal shelving in my work van and convert the drivers side wall like you have here
Awesome!!! And thanks
And you now are hook line and sinker F****ed. Space wasting overpriced plastic.
The black wall really brings out the red. Looks very good 👍
Thanks
Nice Lego collection
Lol
That the best wall I've seen yet
Thanks
P.S. jealous as all get out. Now I just need a garage!
Thanks ... it was a ton of work
Everything is great, here in Argentina it is very expensive to buy the Milwaukee packout, hopefully one day we will reach that level of equipment. greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷
Can’t wait to get back in the packout system. Great video as always.
Thanks 🙏
Woooow ! I love your garage ! My Friend much respect to you! the best packout set up Ive seen! Shout out from Tijuana, Mexico! Im your fan!
Thanks so much ! how's the weather ?
And I thought I had P.A.S. (Packout addiction syndrome) 😂. I am so jealous. I did a little quick math and I think that’s just under $6k in packout on that one wall. Really nice setup!
When regular shelves just aren’t gucci enough
He spent in pack-out close to what I have in tools. Crazy.
Awesome job on the Red and Black wall. One thing I might mention as an electrician. The plywood should not be exposed to the inside of your electrical panel. Same for your outlet. You can buy a cabinet insert that is plastic for the outlet. For the electrical panel you can either cut back the plywood to the outer edge of the deadfront or maybe frame around the plywood edge with some drywall metal end cap.
Yeah I did put plastic extensions in the outlets but I think i will just replace the sub panel
That garage door edit was dope!
The wall looks awesome great job
Thank you so much
Yah, it’s pretty nice. 👍
Dude it came out sooooo freaking awesome 😎
Thanks, it was a ton of work but I am happy with it
Great looking setup!
I don't have nearly the number of Packout you do, but I can take from your video what I need.
I also like the cabinet for the metal lathe!
Thanks for sharing.
Packout wall looks great, nice job!
Thanks so much
Couple of grand of plastic boxes. Wow!
Is it crazy to be a DIYer obsessed with packouts for home organization?
Looks like a store display
Milwaukee should come to your house to take pics for advertising 😂😂😂😂😂
Hahah I wish
Absolutely Amazing !!!!
Feels Good to be Organized !!
Ohhh yes it does ! It makes projects so much easier
Dang man I’m so jealous. I love this.
Thanks
need a wall like this great job!!
Thanks!
Nice job! Very well organized!
Thanks
Jake thanks all your hard work. You are giving me great ideas for my shop. Your place looks great!
Thanks for the kind words
Your garage is awesome, it must be fully fortified!!!!!
Lots of kids with rabies
Dam a lot of machine tools sheesh 🤯🤯🤯
Got the black!! Looks good!
Thanks
Great job Jake! I am currently building a complete pack out electrical service van. Using some of your products.
Thanks so much
👍HELL YEAH!! I’m a electrician as well and I would love to see your layout Kevin. I use Versastack in my Chevy Express. Share it when you get it done brother 🤘
Impressive sir! Goal worthy organization
Thanks
What is so funny is I am pretty die hard Milwaukee as well and I have the same Dewalt tape measure. I actually thought about sending Milwaukee an email today with pictures of the pile of broken Milwaukee tape measures from the last few years.
Awesome job!! You just inspired me to redo my storage room and organize my Packouts. 👍
Thanks and good luck
Kick ass wall bro. Just watched this one. I can relate to you so well with the wife's amd packout stuff lol. Also the brumt work boots. U kick ass bro. Have a good one
Thanks a ton
That turned out awesome.
Thanks so much
Nice job Jake. Now I'm inspired to do the same type of installation. Thanks buddy!😁👍
Thanks! It was so worth it !
Great organization...but I'd add a small counter top, chair, TV spot
Thanks and that’s for PACKOUT wall 2.0
You obviously need a bigger wall. Yes I’m jealous.
I know! Right !
This is Fantastic! Love the set up!
Thanks so much
The packout shelf should feature drawer slides that lock and unlock like a tool box on the far right side and have a slow close when shutting drawer.
Working on one right now.
that would be awesome
Sort of like the Snap On truck display shelf’s?
stay cool. Looks like my garage. Not really. mine is a mess. nice work.
It was so bad !!! And thanks so much
Do not go on vacation, you’ll make one Happy thief extremely Happy! 😂
Nope ! lol
Love this and looking for ideas as I am moving homes and need to get better garage organization. How long are the screws you used in the plywood and what thickens of plywood?
I've a lot of stuff but you have much more.i have a sweet job and a buissness don't know if still I could afford all that lol
Well it's my retirement, LOL
Looks great Jake!
Thanks so much
nice. love the backpack vac
One of the best vacs!
Milwaukee thanks you.
Hahahahhahaha
@@JakeOfALL with that being said, I'm looking in to building a wall of my own. Nice work.
@@scarecrow1490 hell yeah! And thanks
Nice work
Thanks so much
Looking good 👍
Thanks
Lol you have a packout problem sir! Nice setup 🔥
Yeah a small one! …. Thanks
I love your set up however it looks like it’s just the same thing stacked on top bland if you ask me I think you need to integrate the the wall packout system in the middle add some flavor but before you say I’m tripping mix it up because My wall is versatile but go red!
Thanks for the tip
And I thought I was red!!😀🤭❤
hahahahha
About to go this route in e350 and shop
Nice
Nice 👍, I like this set up.
Thanks
Lucky Man!
well yeah
Dang, bro even has a packout F150!
You want everyone to see what you have when you’re garage is open. Wouldn’t a cabinet with doors bee a better option and would look less messy??
I guess but I like it .
Home Depot employee...."which packout case do you want?". Customer: "all of them".
Nice!
Thanks!
While She!.... Lots of respect for his Partner! Or was he talking to the Dog🐶
hahah
In the year 2021 all that 1/2" plywood probably cost just as much as all that PackOut gear! What a time.... lol
OMG yeah! I have had to delay the project for $$ reasons lol
I do like your content though. Good stuff. I think having cabinet doors would give you a space to advertise. You could stencil on the Milwaukee name and stencil some cool art also.
Hummmm
I can hear a lot of people driving by during this video man, make sure you have a wifi camera system inside there. That red wall is a beacon for theifs. Good job tho man.
Many cams !
Impresionantemente bien organizado y a la vista excelentemente hermoso 👍
Ok
Bring the lady back, she's cute!
Hahaha
I seen some senco stuff there and jet, my man!!!
Hell yeah!
Sick setup. Any tips on acquiring a packout drawer garage system more cost effectively?
Wait till Black Friday
I was wondering why people don’t use more e-Tracks on their garage, right? So many more accessories
Yeah it’s so versatile
You need to swap the tape measure around, the DeWalt looks out of place, keep that in the drawer and the Milwaukee on display!
Hahahaha but the Milwaukee one is clean ! Lol
Do you haul your tools around enough to need it all Packable, a Normal Counter Cabinet on the bottom ad even Uppers would took and Cost less, I do like Pack out but that's a MINT $$ in storage solution.
Yeah I guess it’s not needed
Great video and great install job. But why would anyone need THAT many toolboxes????
Thanks so much. And … I love adult Legos
Did you ever figure out the half size shelf 🤔🤔🤔
I saved a lot not buying the track with shelves. I bought e track at harbor freight.
yeah that's the way to do it
Cool
Thanks
What size are the holes/slots in the tracks? If they’re at least 3/16” or 1/4”, I would use Snap Toggles to mount those, as the 1/4” Snap Toggles support up to 265 lbs. of weight per bolt in 1/2” drywall. So even if you were to only use 2 Snap Toggles to mount the top portion of the track (where all the pull occurs), it would still support over 500 lbs. of pull.
4 bolts = over 1,000 lbs.
6 bolts = 1,500+ lbs.
8 bolts = 2,000+ lbs.
We use those all the time in my line of work to mount full sheets of fire-rated plywood to drywall, as well as heavy metal network racks to hold network switches, firewalls, sound system equipment, amplifiers, security system equipment, NVRs, etc.
I usually even do a “hang test” once I’m done installing a rack, to make sure it will hold my 180-200 lb. self lol!
I’ve been mounting extremely heavy stuff in walls for 10+ years now, and I haven’t found anything better than those Snap Toggles. They’re quick, strong, and even reusable, unlike toggle bolts.
100-Pack Assorted Length 1/4-in dia Toggle Bolt Drywall Anchor (Screws Included) www.lowes.com/pd/TOGGLER-100-Pack-Assorted-Length-x-1-4-in-Dia-Toggle-Bolt-Drywall-Anchor-Screws-Included/1000133661
I forgot to mention, if the slots/holes are only ~3/16”, I would break out the step bit and drill it out to a 1/4” hole, so you can use the beefier 1/4” Snap Toggle bolts, which hold more weight than the 3/16” bolts.
Great job on the wall! It looks great, I’m sure everyone’s happier that your garage is more organized and looks and feels less cluttered!
I love the snap toggles for TVs where one side needs support or closet systems !
Gd u no how much money $$$$$$ is on that gd wall lmao that’s my dream set up hell yea keep killing it bro
Toooo much lol
Have you noticed any issues with mounting the racking shelves on horizontal E Track vs the recommended vertical layout?
I have not had any at all
Why the ply wood against the wall? Better support and anchoring?
Yeah, I anchor the plywood to the studs and then I can put the screws anywhere for the track onto the plywood
Do you screw boards like 2 x 4s to the wall (where the studs are) and mount the plywood onto these boards or plywood directly onto the wall?
Can you do a microwave packout mount. To see if there any way to have one
Omg SMH lol
@@JakeOfALL for the jobsites 😅
@@serg4220 hahaha
Guys. Milwaukee sent that stuff to him.
All looks great but you really need a covered spot to protect those vehicles from the Florida sunshine and storms
The #Packtor was never going to fit
@@JakeOfALL That is so true of many homes these days. But as you expand or build an enlarged shop at least make covered parking into the design. Love your #Packtor!
@@MyGuyKirby ohh yeah ! Part of the reason I bought a house on two lots ! Needed room to add a shop
What kind of screws did you use to screw the pack to the pluwood
Looks amazing but I can't get over the fact that you have all this Milwaukee gear and went back to the hardware store multiple times... and yet you couldn't bring yourself to buy a dang electrical switch!!
The battery holders and other storage compatible with Dewalt tools? Milwaukee system is so far ahead of aanyone else. Wondering if Dewalt guys, use Milwaukee storage system?
So what you are saying is, because of the weight involved, only use the 5 foot vertical brackets.
That and you don't need a bracket all the way at the top
is this like 3k of packout stuff
Probably a little low
Very nice
Hey, I purchase some items off your website 2 weeks or so ago.
How can I contact you for shipping details? Thanks
Can you email me at orders@jakeofall.com
Now what is the maximum weight limit per shell as well as the maximum weight for the horizontal and vertical rails? Cuz a lot of my pack out units usually have quite a bit of weight to them specially when it's filled with screw, nut/bolt and washer hardware. I wouldn't want to have it rip from the wall studs or have the tracks twist up on me over time.
You are aware that you are in violation of the NEC and depending on your state could be state codes also. Plus your Home owners insurance company may reference this video if a claim is ever submitted due to electrical fire in that area. You must have clearence at your Electrical Subpanel. From the NEC code states that panels must have clearance of 36 inches in front, 30 inches to the sides, and a working area with a clearance of 6 foot 5 inches. Also, storage is not allowed in the required space, per NEC 110.26(B), the panel door must swing open a minimum of 90º, per NEC 110.26(A)(2). You have a very Nice set up there. Be safe it is your home do as you please..this post is just an FYI.. I have my packouts mounted on the wall in my shop in an area the sees little usage. Be safe it is your home do as you please..this post is just an FYI..
Really? On a sub panel? What anal code writers came up with that bull$hit?? How, under what circumstance is what he did an electrical hazzard??? If anything, those boxes are protecting an otherwise vulnerable box from potential damage.
The requirement is for when you’re installing it, you can place things closer after
@@Tierone1337 I suggest you read the NEC clearance must be maintained at all times..
All I can say is, wow!
I am trying to come up with an idea to label the front of Packout boxes. There just isn't enough space for lable tape. And I want it straight and uniform. Any ideas, anyone?
Decked out has latches that have labels
I used my electricians label maker and found that labels with large type fit perfectly on the larger packout pieces. Haven't looked hard at the small parts bins because I have them stored flat on the walls of my tool trailer
Wow how many packout drawers and storage bins do you own? How much would it all cost?
Yes, it looks great. And yes, it looks awesome but in all seriousness, how much do you really really need? This is overboard.🤣
where do you purchase the silver looking brackets that clipped into the horizontal and vertical racking that slid into Packout bases? I got the links you posted for the rachking, just curious where you got the silver brackets that clipped into the racking....? can you post a link to that or am I missing it?
Those are the Milwaukee wall mount brackets.
wow
Nah, he addicted to Milwaukee? There's no sign of it whatsoever! 😂🤣🤪
lol
How many thousands of $$ do you have in packout? Holy moly!
Not sure I want to know
Milwaukee thanks you!
You think he had enough tools for the job or did he have to go buy some?
Always more
Where did you find the e-Track shelf supports?
AWESOME setup!!! Did you buy all of that or did Milwaukee donate it for advertisement? It all looks brand new. Just curious
I paid for aAll but two half PACKOUTs and the backpack . I like to keep my stuff clean
Look's great. It's crazy how clean everything is. What do you do..polish them bad boy's up daily? Lol
Also love them black boxes..thought they were only available in Europe?
Hahaha they get the old spit shine. I got most of the black ones from Ireland
