The fact is that Kenya needs a very lean government and extensive austerity measure. We cannot continue funding a bloated and wasteful government. President Ruto depleted his annual budget by December last year, just months after taking office. Same case with Riggz. They were added about 5 billion or thereabout in the supplementary budget. We have overrepresentation in Parliament (349 MPs vis-à-vis 290 constituencies). 47 County governors in a nation of just 51 million people. 67 Senators, 1480+ MCAs etc. We are choreographers of our own downfall. The inevitable economic collapse will slap each Kenyan to reality. That's when we will forget our tribal connotations and understand that voting does not just mean standing in a box and randomly ticking boxes!
And they can't have 70 million to buy printers for passport printing?
Well articulated
@@aheuditImagine
You have nailed it very collect plus so many travels ,mara interdenomination players
Ruto never listens and needs to be stopped. Imagine 2.75% NHIF and 3%, NSSF etc frim your payslips na bado home expenses. This is brutal
that is true and remember you have been deducted PAYE, SACCO deductions and loan repayment and they say 3% is very little, it is little for big earners and they will pay a maximum of 2,500 so who is fooling who here.
Won't pay. Can't pay. We must agree with Jimi Wanjigi and default on foreign loan payment. Mimi silipi!! Watado?
I think Ruto needs to listen to this man as well as Kenyans. He has economic ideas.
U could ve elected him instead of yepping if he had good plan
@@alextercisio so I offend your father
How did Kenya use up all these monies it borrowed as loans? Kwani there are no returns from those projects?
Some of those projects do not exist in the first place. And a good portion of the money is being used to support MCAs Senators and others whose contributions to the country cannot be pinpointed, yet they are some of the top earners in society.
"Thugge, Prof Ndungu, Rotich, Uhuru and Ruto should tell us where our money is" -Okiya Omtata
Why isn't anyone in government taking him seriously enough to form a tribunal to look into this debt repayment issue once and for all. Someone needs to listen like yesterday.
he wants keNya to default. no one can accept such an idiot.
conflict of interest
They all ignore him.
But I guess it won't be for long..
Okiya said we have repaid our debts.Who is pocketing the monies?
Why does nobody listen to Jimmy Wanjigi?
Hes that proverbial oracle from the hills..
I wish we had given him a real shot at the presidency. At this point we need actual professionals who can brainstorm solutions and solve problems at the helm, not politicians in a permanent popularity contest.
Is it that you are protesting since your companies will be taxed?😂😂😂
Jimi Wanjigi a successful business understands financial matters well.
I agree with Wanjigi 100% lazima tuambiwe zilikopwa zikafanya kazi gani.
pesa ziliibwa zikanunu helicopters alafu wajinga wakaambiwa ati biashara ya kuku na mayai ndiyo ilibarikiwa kwa sababu mungu mbele.
I wish Wanjigi could emphasize also on the misappropriation of the money collected, hence the poor returns.
He is part of the misappropriation himself.
@@Firog6004 Is he in government or you didn't understand the comment?
@@Kipchumba_Chepkwony he's been stealing from the Kenyan people for a long time. That's how he made his money. For him to lecture us about good governance is an insult.

do you remember how uhuRUTO inherited a vibrant economy from raila kibaki nusu mkate govt??? uhuRUTO have converted kenyans into foremost beggars.
When Kenya defaults its payment..its the billionaires who profit more and this dude knows this very well!
Ghana defaulted and now they are rebuilding their country without over taxing the citizens… I think the government should face the reality and stop fearing it will hurt their political ambitions for 2027… At this point they’ll keep borrowing just to keep the government afloat which will increase the debt..
@@Muriuki218 Gha
@@Muriuki218 do you know if Kenya defaults the economy wil be 10 times harder to the common man than it is now..?who suffers the poor or the rich?.Kenya needs to “come to the table with creditors and find a way of restructuring the debt,”NOT defaulting and that is whyRuto has put brakes on borrowing and now encouraging Kenyans to build their economywith the little theyhave
@@jacksonmichael5603 that's the naked truth my brother
We shouldn't be footing this bill when those who syphoned off the money are rolicking in the spoils. We should all back the court action initiated by the Busia Senator Mr. Omtata to bring the thieves to book and get them to foot this bill. Aftér all, they have this money. According to Mr. Omtata, government books indicate that we've overpaid the debt by a whooping Trillion bucks.
Perfectly said Honourable 👏.
To finance his massive building projects, Solomon had taxed the people heavily during his reign. Following his death, the ten northern tribes appealed for relief from the heavy tax burden, but Rehoboam refused. The Israelites returned home in rebellious anger. Rehoboam sent the head of that day's Internal Revenue Service to either collect some overdue revenues or negotiate. The Israelites assassinated him. Fearing the northern ten tribes' secession there was a war but God intervened.
That's very true. Looks like the same thing will happen here with Rutoboam
@@martinndagaru1671 haki oppression ni noma just like the biblical times. Taxes everywhere.
NHIF, NSSF are so poorly managed, UDUMA centres we built at an imaginable cost. These and others require serious surgery before any money is put into them
Jimmy is right and wise regarding to this economy issue. But remember Riggy G told us that Kenya is Ruto and Riggy G enterprise. Let them run their enterprise.
We are under economic depression
Well said.
Can we please have a big roundtable with people like Wanjigi, Ndii, Kwame Owino etc? We need to understand our economic situation and not be hit with any surprises
Gava iitikie tu enyewe this loan we have to default… Trying to tax people to death is not the solution…
The same people who created a debt for Kenya are the same goons opposing the only solution to the debt

It is a good thing when the rich are crying atlst now you know tuko pamoja. Watu walipe tax tafadhali😅
Why aren't jimmy wanjigi's concerns not being aired everywhere 24/7?
We can't achieve economic liberation by defaulting....it's the ridiculous.

It is the bid people who messed the country. Ndeni ni kilipa

What the consequences of not paying the debt
Default. Super inflation. Government going into people's M-Pesa & bank account by force taking 30% immediately. Ask people of Ghana
@@ofisi2025 what will they do with the 30% when expenses will have decreased since they won't be servicing loans?
A default will force creditors to the table to restructure the loans, so if gava goes prepared they will be able to renegotiate better terms. Creditors may be more likely to accept this as it is better to accept less money or stretch the loans out for longer than to lose the entire investment.
WANJIGI HAS NEVER SUPPORTED THIS GOVERMENT.
Boss.. What are the consequences of not paying debt?
Inflation, lack of access to more loans , but at least the 1.7 trillion will be in Kenya. It can be used to propel us into a boom
International trade will become very difficult. We rely heavily on imports so if we cannot trade, we will be screwed

We can't compare kibaki's regime with Uhuru because in kibaki's there was no devolution. Enlarged government
also during the kibaki/raila govt, there was less mega corruption scandals eg NYS 1&2, eurobonds 1,2,3, SGR, galana kulalu, laptops tender scam, NCPB maize scandal, KPC oil spill scam, hustler's jet scandal, jkia green terminal scam, kimwarer and arror dams scandal, afya house scandal, KPLC scandal, kemsa covid, etc etc.
But Ruto is worsening an already blotted Government by hiring hundreds of his Cronies and Tribesmen😭😭😭😭🇬🇧
That's where kenya make mistake uhuru tried his best only he failed to fight corruption but he had big vision kibaki ran a very small govt
But for Ruto he seems not understand where to start or run the govt he is confused and not prepared at all he is still celebrating his win
It's not possible that tanzania and uganda are doing well while we are failing miserably

Same guy who ten years ago came up with the SGR & mega projects proposal..which has landed Kenya into a huge debt..Wanjigi is bitter because he now has to pay tax and has been put off the “eating plate” as his father and himself have done all thru the years…bure kabisa
So according to you , SGR is a bad idea??
Attacking the messenger and not the message. How mature of you
@@mwanikijoelmuthaka8703 no…it was over quoted!

@@jacksonmichael5603 it is wise because a lot of our problems, as far as national debt goes, odious or not, exist because international trade is usually done in USDs. An argmuent could be made that the loan negotiations were carried out in bad faith as their value was calculated in USDs, not the KES and there were no provisions for its instability for factors that happened that affected its value that had nothing to do with us. The $ is no longer stable, so defaulting is a soft approach to decouple the kenyan shilling from the usd
secondly, context is everything when it comes to this topic. it's true that things would become more expensive should we default. but what things, specifically? that's the real question. defaulting essentially means that international trade would become damn near impossible. this won't necessarily be a bad thing for us, if you pay attention to the kind of products we import. after all, everyone knows that there are things that we import that we have no business importing. i could make an argument that defaulting would be a good thing for our economy as it would force us to stop importing products we could otherwise manufacture and produce locally
thirdly, in a separate video, this guy and omtata essentially make the argument that we already paid off our debts. someone simply stole those funds. if we default, an audit would have to take place to find out where the money went, and those responsible would have to take responsibility for the trillions we owe
fourthly, kenya is a very attractive investment hub to the international community. even with our country's infamy, as far as corruption goes, it remains one of the best places on the continent to do business. our corrupt way of life makes us attractive to the rich. how many countries do you know of where you can literally get away with attempted murder if you buy your way out of it? so whatever bs we have to deal with should we default would blow over after some time. the effects would only be temporary.
But if people from central Kenya are happy with the taxes let the people pay taxes. Everyone will feel the pain

Dawa ya deni ni kulipa, tulipe ushuru bro.......acha stori mingi. Finance Bill is developed by so many experts and not just one person. How on earth do we survive by loans saved by other citizens of other countries, with high interest rates?
everybody is just eyeing on relevance. do you think this Kenyan billionaire realizes need of money, i dont even think tax can break sweat in this mans face. now because you don't want 3% to pay for the employees you have and they pay their 3% for themselves to get a decent houses, your out here giving Sharad runts and yourself you stay in in Villas.
Kenya just needs one man with so much money, and investments like you. but what is your work? while you can be the one man can run an economic venture and go to history, you dont need to be a president, uko na PESA. Wanjigi building a posh Kibera is it a problem??? your outfit alone is some ones monthly salary and your here taking about the countries headings. i to desire the best in life but also for others.
I don't know if am relevant but but when the poor devours food, the rich toys with it
One day, if you make the right decisions in life you will become a wealthy individual. Maybe not to the extent of Wanjigi, but you get the point. And when you do, you will realize the one thing all rich people have in common, especially the older ones, is how they start to mind their image. They want to have some kind of legacy to their name. This is one of the main reasons a lot of them get into politics.
They find an angle that reasonates with their community and make it their rallying point. They essentially do what this man is doing.
If you watch enough of his videos, you will understand his argument. From your post, I can tell that you haven't. Maybe do a little research before you decide he's motives are impure ...
I hope Wanjigi you are genuine or are you one of the beneficiaries of funny loans so you want to cover up ?
Leave Ruto alone. You cannot tell us that taxation is impossible but odious and exorbitant debts received from countries that have taxed their citizens is easier. Kenya's problem is in debts not taxes. Ruto is trying to make sure we get out of the pit that we've entered since Moi's time.
ruto, the empty talker or the known common thief???
Not true the debts are not the problem either the terms or politicians are playing with our country
We cannot blame debts yet each single day we are expanding the govt and lavish life of our politicians and more money being stolen not possible
