Wow, what a lovely intro! Thank you so much for participating. That stencil is Ceri the Crafter's Littel Leaves stencil. Your assumption would be correct... one idea would be to use a more opaque version of one. Apply them in different layers letting each dry... this will keep the colors from blending and create more contrast.
