I feel like I'm getting harder to understand with each passing video.
I noticed that Blitzo's flier contained zero spelling/grammar mistakes despite what Moxxie said. But I forgot to write that sin. Also, I originally wanted to include Risky Boots in that lineup of Cristina Vee characters, but then I realized that I was just being a Shantae fanboy and that there are probably other characters that she's more well known for. So I asked my weeb friend which character I should replace her with, and we settled on Homura Akemi.
Edit: I know that the "o" in Blitzo's name wasn't silent in the past, and that's probably why Verosika still pronounces the o. I was just pointing out how odd it was that nobody ever addressed it.
honestly, im suprised i can even understand what your saying cause damn that FAST TALKING
@@nextbroadcast3600 You probably couldn't understand me without the subtitles lol
@@RandomGameCritic jokes on you i didnt read them !
When Verosika first enters with her car into the parking space, Vortex can be seen in the driver’s seat, I think. But Blitzo gets closer to the car, Vortex is nowhere to be found inside... where do you think he went? 🤔
11:32 captions say "approved" instead of "improved"
Sorry, OCD
It's not that they didn't tell her the O is silent
She intentionally pronounces the o just to piss him off
Yeah, but Blitzo (or anyone else) didn't react, implying that the voice actor for Blitzo (and everyone else) thought that Christina Vee was going to be saying 'Blitzo' with the 'o' silently.
@@junecampbell2152 I feel like Blitzo as a character doesn't react to it intentionally because he knows she's doing it to piss him off
@@bloodybee3553 Okay, but Neither Moxxie, Millie, nor Loona react to it at all.
@@junecampbell2152
Why would they? Sure, it's strange behavior that Blitzo doesn't react to it, but THEY'RE focused on the fact that he dated a pop star, not wheather he acknowledges his usual knitpicks

If the show is set in hell, wouldn't you be counting "blessings" instead of "sins"?
I like that. Makes a lot of sense.
No that makes it sound like it's positive like it's a CinemaWins episode
@@AManOnline. but its in hell so its reverse (blessings = sins & sins = blessings)

Drunk Moxxie REALLY carried that episode XD
Plus the fact that he was voiced by Richard Horvitz.
I loved everything about it
Absolutely
How could he carry the episode, he could barely carry his own weight.
(This is a joke)
He was adorable
Not sure of anyone has said it yet, but I didn't get the impression Moxie drank the beer by accident. I had figured he tried to make more air for himself when he didn't have much to work with.
Yeah, that was my thought as well. Or in an attempt to find a latch or plug or whatever was holding the barrel closed.
yeah, it didn't look like an accident

I’m pretty sure that Verosika says Blitzo name with the O is because it pisses Blitzo off when someone does it. Like in the Loo Loo Land episode, Robo Frizz called Blitzo with the o and Blitzo said that the “o” was silent now.
Yeah, but Blitzo (or anyone else) didn't react, implying that the voice actor for Blitzo (and everyone else) thought that Christina Vee was going to be saying 'Blitzo' with the 'o' silently.
I assume it's because she knew him from before the o was silent
@@AZDfox He nonetheless does not remark on it, if Blitzo's VA had known that she was going to say it that way then he would have remarked on it.
@@junecampbell2152 I think its a thing where antagonists say Blitzo with a non-silent o. You can see that Verosika had a tattoo that says Blitz on it in a heart, which implies she dated Blitzo and loved him plenty, and made sure there was no O on the tattoo.
Then they broke up so she put an X on the tattoo and calls him Blitzo on purpose just to be a bitch to him.
I figure maybe Blitzo doesn't react because he doesn't want her to know its affecting him. Meanwhile, he did correct Fizzaroli because they hadn't seen eachother since his name change.
Yeah she's trying to make him mad not that she doesn't know he's name
The sin on Loona list scene, hell hounds can hunt and send people to hell. She just need something from the person, even just they're name.
Fuck that is OP
I wish they had Blitzo say something like, "Now use that hellhound sight," so it would already have an explanation in the episode
@@47ratsinahoodie
A show having an explanation for everything sounds boring though.
I'm shocked that the fact that Loona sniffed the list
And was a hell hound, not a normal dog, wasn't enough of an explanation Σ(ಠ_ಠ)
Heck her being a dog should've already had people going "Ah yeah, she has dog instincts too!"
@@sugardevil624 It doesn't need to have an explanation for everything; it should just have explanations for things that people can't infer from context. Millie got knocked out by a bottle in episode one and it took crew members explaining that there was holy water in it for people to understand the scene. Loona can sniff names and find those people and it took people who knew anything about mythology and such to explain that hellhounds have that ability. Your, "[she] was a hellhound, not a normal dog, wasn't that enough of an explanation" thing doesn't really make sense because Loona just sniffed names. If she sniffed belongings of the people, the audience could pick up that she's a canine, she can track people rather than, she can somehow track people based on their names.
@@47ratsinahoodie
So I was going to try and clarify that I wasn't saying a show shouldn't have explanations at all and it should explain if it'll be difficult for viewers to immediately click with it
But it seemed that most of the audience clicked with Loona being able to track humans based on names
Because..she's a hell hound...from hell.. y'know?

I just want more Moxie and Millie being cute together. Whether it be in the foreground or the background because we don't get enough happily married couples who have a healthy relationship with each other.
If there's one thing I want to know it's how millie and moxxie met lmao
Right? I so want that story! Also just Blitzo’s whole backstory... like... what even is his life?
If they do ever get around to it, I hope that it's handled well. Because there are 2 ways that it could go about.
It could be heartfelt and episodic, like "This is how these Millie and Moxxie met."
I just hope it doesn't end up as "Millie and Moxxie met because *LORE LORE LORE LORE LORE LORE*"
I like me some good lore, but Helluva Boss is meant to be episodic. There are plenty of ways episodic shows can and have done that kind of episode well.
I actually kind of hope that we don't find out very much about Blitzo's backstory, just randomly mentioning things, like his god father being Beezlebub, or having won a medal in the Imp demon civil war, I dunno.
That's all canon by the way, I overheard the team talking about it.
@@alexthegreat8001 HIS FATHER IS BEELZEBUB???
9:42 She wasn't knocked by the bottle itself but by the holy water inside the bottle, one of the animators of the show explained it in a French livestream
That just brings up a few questions.
A: Why would a family of Satan-worshiping cannibals keep holy water with them?
B: The way he was holding the bottle, the water should have poured out, leaving little inside. How potent is that holy water if that little knocked her out?
C: Why was there no establishing shot of them preparing to encounter demons if the water was always the plan? Not to mention the family had no exact idea of who they were dealing with until they already captured the Imps. Hell, they though Earth fire would kill them so even after they captured Blitzo and Millie they didn't know what worked.
I know I'm sounding a little mean and I honestly love this show to death, but sometimes the creators end up making continuity errors and have to simply retcon it in a medium outside the main form in which their work is presented, and doing so leads to less people learning of the retcon then intended. Again, I'm not trying to be rude, mean, or insulting to the team, I understand not everything plays out perfectly, I just hope they polish up scenes like this to make clear what's happening, because mistakes like these can really get fans to lose interest in the show and I really want them to succeed with Helluva Boss.
That actually does make sense. The general consensus was that there was blood on her face after being hit by the bottle, but it was bluer in color than Blitzo’s blood, so it’s fairly reasonable to say that it was actually holy water on her face.
Would you mind linking me to that stream though?
@@emerald9194 ua-cam.com/video/hmdbG1DjUSM/v-deo.html Here's the link for the stream! I think the information about the bottle was near an hour, but I didn't find any timestamp in the comments (maybe I'll look for it myself later)
@@wingedbluj1674 I don't know how to answer to your questions except by saying that yes, the team knows that this scene wasn't clear at all...
Also I think one reason why she could kill the big fish thing is that it is directly threatening moxie.
Loona's abilities in this episode are actual abilities Hellhounds have in lore.
Wait, really? Like actual mythology or the show itself?
Mythology
I didn't know that. Cool

2:23 i think that was a perfect opportunity to use that mistake. many people that hate or are annoyed by blitzo say the "o" in his name anyway just to piss him off.
HUGE missed sin! How did the succibitches get to earth? I.M.P has the book to get here... but its pretty heavily implied by the fact that stolus sais he needs it back that theres really only one... and i heavily doubt that blitz would have been nice enough to open a portal up for vorica so that they could have a fair fight. Or... maybe he would do that for a joke but still. So either succubus can freely travel to earth in which case imp and the book itself are alot less stressful ooooor this is a plothole.
If we look at the book of demonology, succubi are able to be summoned to earth much like the Goetia demons aka the inspiration for Stolas. Perhaps they have their own book seeing as Verosika mentions being hired by the "more successful company" to lead a team during spring break. Succubus and Incubus do sleep with humans, that's how you can get Cambions, the demon-human hybrids
hey dude I think you missed a very good sin also you could of add here it is how can all these demons 5:46 want murder but all the people they want killed are all in the same place 6:25 you really would think the people they are supposed to kill would be in different place right?
@@randomgreek5682 I believe it's because Blitzo's poster specifically gave a deal for victims on spring break.

Jokes aside, If I remember well, there is only one instance where the episodes will be connected, as that was revealed at the BLM stream, which is Stolas calling Blitz and the gang for some sort of party, and Blitz recalls of the events at Loo Loo Land and their poor attempt of bodyguarding. Besides that, I agree that the series might be more episodic, besides the fact of reoccurring characters like Robo Fizz, which was confirmed in the "season trailer" to come back.
"We're not bodyguards. That was a one time thing we did. And guess what? We did it badly."
You're right. I completely forgot about that line. That still doesn't mean that all of these episodes are _heavily_ connected, but you got a point.
@@RandomGameCritic Yeah, I think just one or two will be connected, to show a timeline, but everything else probably will be more episodic
@@RandomGameCritic Well, continuity from Episode 1 to Episode 2 is there if you really look for it. The whole thing with Blitzo agreeing with Stolas for a night of “passionate fornication” was mentioned in Episode 1, and Episode 2 is clearly the day after he fulfills that promise. But there’s also a tiny easter egg in the background of Blitzo’s scenes during the phone conversation with Stolas, where you can see Martha’s eyeball in a jar or something, which is likely something he kept as a memento. It’s not a huge deal, and I agree with your statement, but hey, if you really do look for it, some continuity is there. Nothing from Episode 2 to Episode 3, though, from what I can tell.
BLM as in the terrorist group or the Bureau of Land Management?
I was about to comment about this
I definitely got the vibe that Heluva Boss was more of an episodic series than one that would build to something bigger. Don’t get me wrong, I think we’re going to get a bit more of drama and most likely a climax at the end of each season, but this is how I see it.
Hazbin Hotel is a drama disguised as a comedy which will have heartfelt moments, character development, and a climactic finale that will be epic (like Friends, but in Hell). Heluva Boss is a straight up comedy that’s designed to be simple, fun, and give us a bit of drama and character development/drama to allow for better and funnier episodes in the future (like The Office, but in hell).
I felt immediately like this was a series where they could cut loose with the comedy like they could never really do in Hazbin without undermining the drama. I’m very excited to see where they take both of the series, and now that they’re partnering with A24 for Hazbin Hotel I think we’re in for a real treat real soon.
While I agree with you entirely, I am still hoping for genuine character development throughout the series. I agree the show seems episodic in nature, but, specifically with Loona and Blitzo, I think we might see some sort of character development there and I'm kinda hoping for it.
F.r.i.e.n.d.s. But in hell... BEST DESCRIPTION I'VE HEARD YET.
Actually, Verosika says the "o" just to piss him off and he doesn't say anything about it because she knows that the "o" is silent because she has a tatoo that says "Blitz" in a heart with a cross on top, you can see it at 4:46
Yep same as Robo Fizz and real Fizz, they know he hates it
I honestly love your breakdowns primarily because I think you're sort of like me- someone who digs this show enough to appreciate the writing, episode structure, animation, and call themselves a fan. But at the same time doesn't view it as this bastion of unmatchable creativity that cannot be flawed because the characters, from design to personality, are literally concentrated fandom cocaine. Great stuff!

I've been seeing the show as basically "the Office" set in hell, Sure there might be things that happen that connect to stuff down the line, but for the most part it's just gonna be "How do they f**k up THIS job?"
9:33 I can't believe I never noticed that before.
1:24 Verosika wearing those glasses paired with her long eyelashes in the inner corner of her eyes make me think she’s got nose holes
This was definitely the most hilarious out of the three. Personally, I don't mind episodic shows versus serialised because you can just watch it without having to ask how certain things fit into the story. Maybe it's just because that's how it was for shows I watched growing up before everything needed to have an overall plot. Characters can still develop in an episodic series, it just isn't as important.
I absolutely loved this episode, the song is perfect, and the characters are amazing. 10/10 would laugh again
The reason Moxie was sensitive about killing a family was because he probably wants to start a family with Millie

I think a sin should've been removed for the detail that during the argument with Blitzo, Loona's hair became more slightly more ruffled as she became angrier.
2:12
I think it was because Blitzo made the “o” silent when he started I.M.P. In Loo Loo Land, it said something similar so his “o” may have not been silent im the time he was dating Verosika.
Honestly I felt the whole "I'm Vortex!" joke was more about how Loona was being generally awkward rather than the slight voice cracking but fair XD.
I kinda like how Helluva Boss is more episodic whereas Hazbin Hotel is more based on serialization. It's a nice contrast and it really helps satisfy fans of both methods, with Helluva Boss feeling like a saturday morning cartoon, and Hazbin having more story and world-building in comparison.
And no Helluva Boss is was Hazbin was supposed to be
@@sonicfanboy3375 wow things have kinda changed over the course of 2 years
It's much more likely that Verosika calls Blitzø "BlitzO" because she knew him BEFORE he decided the O should be silent, and he just didn't bother to correct her.
Personally, while there is a lot that I like about this episode, I still personally prefer the previous episode as whole, the songs, the comedy, the drama, it was all really good. Maybe it's also because I just wasn't nearly as bothered by the placement of the scene between Stolas and Octavia as I personally made clear in that video, but still.
I do strongly agree though with what you said at the end in that I'd be perfectly alright if this show remains largely episodic as not every cartoon in existence has to be like Avatar, Gravity Falls, Owl House, etc. Afterall, sometimes in life we just need stuff that's meant to be purely dumb fun like this show is, albeit with a dash of drama. I mean sure, there is supposedly gonna be some form of connection between the episodes as was stated in the BLM Livestream, but as long as the show largely remains what it is at it's core, I'm perfectly fine with that.
1:52 cool thing that I wanted to add! Blitz says she is drinking a “beelze juice bottle” which is a refrence to Beelzebub, the demon that represents the sin of gluttony, what makes it even more clever thought, is that when she is drinking it you can hear a fly buzzing sound effect, AND BEELZEBUB HIMSELF IS NORMALLY PORTRAYED AS A FLY! *remove 1 sin*
10:11 Ok, that got me. Because yeah, everything you've heard about bards in D&D is, in fact, true.
10:45 yeea actually Vivzie did say in one of her lives that Moxxie doesn't have a problem with killing people in general but when it comes to killing/ruining "families" he just can't bring himself to do it and chooses to handle things morally rightfully
If you ask me, we are well past the point where "Vivzie said ____ in a live stream" should be a valid defense. This first season is well underway, so I don't think that I should have to dig through hours of livestreams for a character's morals to make sense anymore. They should really try to make these kinds of things more clear in the show itself.
@@RandomGameCritic cool 👁️👅👁️👌

8:23 I did find this scene a bit cliché, don't you guys think?
9:51 Haha you made a mistake.
That means "B-movie," a term used to refer to shitty movies from the 80s. Not the "Bee Movie."
The reason she says Blitzo with an "o" is because he, after running away from his ex decided to change it because.... It is somewhat like changing your name. He said that the "o" is silent in that add about IMP and from what we know he used to work as a clown before that. So it makes sense that the robot jester called him "Blitzo" and how Blitzo responded that the "o" is now silent. It is definitely possible he dated with his ex while he was still a clown.
"It's not going to lead up to anything"
Four episodes later:
I think that Helluva Boss is gonna be like a more adult version of the Cuphead Show, and like you said, mostly comedic episodes with barely any plot but still having episodes with said plot.
I would like your thoughts on fandom video. And I also like Helluva as episodic show. I would like some charachters recuring and some arcs sticking but nothing more.

I love Moxie.... so much. Drunk moxie giving a high five instead of grabbing the hand.... chefs kiss. And to be fair, in that episode with the murder family he DID realize how his failure to act in a situation could lead to the rest of his team being in danger. I expect he was probably just watching Millie's back while Millie did the actual murder. We see him go with her but we never see him be the one to cause the bloodshed.... unless I'm mistaken. I could be mistaken.
@RandomGameCritic So, before I begin with my question: I love your videos and I've just about complete agree or understand by you nitpick at these certain aspects and respect that. And in the end, despite if you answer this or not, I will still respect your final say on this:
Now to the questions: I completely agree that these episodes are meant to be "stand a-lone" to play off for comedy. The previous actions of previous episode should not have effect on the next episode or a consequence if you haven't seen the previous episode. But does this contradict your thoughts about Moxxie' inconsistent behavior? I mean, wouldn't it be okay (keeping that these episode have no consequence to another) that Moxxie would be picky in one episode about something but find in the other? OR where is the line drawn for this kind of stuff?
Huh... I think that characters should stay at least somewhat consistent, but that's a valid point.
4:22 Nice, a fellow 5FDP fan.
Fun Fact: It IS Moxxie helping Blitzo dismember the child during the pilot episode. You can tell this because the full body suit he's wearing at the time shows the shape of his bowtie underneath it.
Your point about his personality flip makes sense, even though things have been rethought between the pilot episode and the Murder Family episode, with his showing mercy towards the father and kids.
Well in this episode he seems to have no issue killing familys for a bet so its kinda strange
