    Altis Sigma all the way! 98V, Moto wheels, Moto brakes, DOT4 brake fluid. Looks much better. Will smoke others in class according to Surronster vid. I think the 98 Volts is the biggest decider though. Ive been selling bikes to make room for my 2 Altis Sigmas on order!

      @Razorcrew_Cole  Місяць тому +2

      @@bitcornface8306 For sure where I'm leaning, I'm doing a video going through each spec side to side and on paper the SR is better but I think the Ulta is better with the higher voltage and less amps to achieve above 20KW as well as I'm seeing a lot of good things about a hairpin motor! That's awesome I appreciate the feedback helps make me feel comfortable that I'm leaning the right way

  • @DescartesRenegade

    Hairpin refers to the stators construction. IPM and Surface magnets refer to the rotor. Hairpins enable higher density of windings and higher current draws.

    • @Razorcrew_Cole
      @Razorcrew_Cole  Місяць тому +2

      @@DescartesRenegade Right on Appreciate that, actually went down the rabbit hole and have kind of learned that so basically it is an IPM motor and just has the more square efficient copper rather than traditional windings for my understanding? • @DescartesRenegade
      @DescartesRenegade Місяць тому +2

      @Razorcrew_Cole hairpin windings have been around for a while, just wasn't financially efficient enough to product as demand/competition for higher performance motors wasn't there yet.

      @DescartesRenegade yep totally makes sense the more I'm seeing on them I think this is going to be a good thing! As long as they have it dialed in good it seems like hairpin is the move just a bigger investment initially like you're saying! I'm excited to see

      @Razorcrew_Cole  Місяць тому

      @@JohnnyCast24 yeah on paper it is better I'm doing a full video but if you understand how the stuff works I think the Altis is honestly better. I think I'm leaning Altis but I want to see side by side race lol.
      If you rode the 2.0 you know it looks and is just a little cheap feeling makes a lot of creaky sounds. I'm hoping the altis is overall just kind of a stronger platform. If the erine wants to be a little faster I am not that concerned about 3 kW difference

      @Razorcrew_Cole  Місяць тому

      @@tipitktm2549 so the thing is if you do the math to actually compare that. It would compare to being 2AH less is all and with a hairpin motor being about 20-30% more efficient you're probably going to see actually that bike performing better as well as it's going to be dumping less amps with higher voltage so you're going to see that u ride battery drain faster cuz it's going to be dumping probably around 300 peak like amps.

      @tipitktm2549 No doubt, hairpin is being used by a lot of big manufacturers in the EV scene but if you're off just a little bit you can have big issues for sure so if they don't have all their stuff in line that could be an issue. They have a one-year warranty so if you have issues with a hairpin I think it's going to be right away otherwise if it's built precisely should be good for a long long time
