The infrastructure bipartisan bill is about so many great developments for our country including the goal to create a reliable, convenient, and standardized network of 500,000 EV chargers across the country by 2030, and to have EVs make up at least 50% of new car sales by then. It's called investment in our future! But that's only one part. The other great developments such as rebuilding America's roads, bridges and rails, expanding access to clean drinking water, ensuring every American has access to high-speed internet, tackling the climate crisis, and advancing environmental justice. Why wouldn't you want that? Silly!

A criminal is someone who has committed a crime, not someone who has but will always do so again, which your definition implies. Jail, imprison, or keep away their means of committing crimes. Then you won't have them or at least lower their prevalence if you also lower the prevalence of guns overall in their hands or in those who shouldn't have them for common sense reasons. And we can still have a solid 2nd Amendment. Please think long and hard about that. Too many don't. Thank you.

The House MAGAs veto every attempt at anything bipartisan. There was no bipartisan effort from the House. The house tabled the Senate's bill, the Senate refused to discuss the House bill. When MAGAs understand divided govt. requires compromise (bipartisan authorship) then somnething will be passed. Until then I guess they own the reputationas the least productive Congress in history., E.G. MTG, Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan (yet to author a bill after 8 years in Congress), Paul Gosars, Loren Boebert, etc. --need I say more? 2 attempts at submaring their own Speaker, one successful the other would have been w/o Democrats intervention. Senator Lankford (R) of OK and Senator Murphy (D) co-authored , with others, the Border Bill that was a bipartisan effort (4 months of work) assigned to Lankford by R. Majority Leader McConnell. That proposal was handed to the House which tabled that legislation in committee and refused to bring such a bill to the floor for amendments or a vote, per Speaker Johnson. When Johnson signed a bill to release aid to Ukraine asnd Israel (already agreed upon in the Senate) a motion to vacate the Speakership was offered by Marjorie Taylor Green. That vote failed only because enough Democrats rescued Johnson from removal by his own members. The MAGA contingents refuse to negotiate with Democrats on ANY legislation. Trump sent word he wanred the Border Issue to remain an issue for this election. Thence the vote was killed in both Senate and House. The best and most conservative legilation offered in decades regards the border went to its grave after 4 months of effort and good faith negotiations.
