- STRAIGHT POOL - JOSHUA FILLER and JAYSON SHAW competed at the 2017 Make-It-Happen 14.1 Championship. Filler, at just 20 years old, was making a name for himself by just winning the China 9-Ball Open, despite straight pool being his favorite game. Shaw, 29
, on the other hand, was new at straight pool, but has been a well know figure at the cue games for quite a while. Earlier in that year, he took down the U.S. Open 9-Ball title as well as the Make-It-Happen 8-Ball title just a few days before this 14.1 event.

I don't know what Jayson and Kenny were discussing after Jayson picked the which cue ball he wanted to use for the match, but it might have been interesting, or not.
Brutal first shot of Jayson's. It seems like only in pool can you take absolutely the right shot, shoot it well, and end up with total crap. And that was exactly what I was pointing out to the guy down below, sometimes their creativity and capabilities that mere mortals don't possess. I clapped from home for that one. Wow.

Why? If you play pool even semi seriously and want to improve, there are few better places to learn aspects of the RIGHT kind of thinking than these matches.
While on very rare occasions I see something better they might have picked, and see them get into trouble in exactly the way I was thinking, or pick their rotations better than the announcers (even ones who know a million times what I do, especially guys like Jeremy or other pros), in virtually all instances they both pick far better than I ever would, or could, and demonstrate how it should be done, to a ridiculous level of performance.
Besides, for a pool fan they are entertaining. Most likely the best entertainment sections for a pool player are things like the extended safety battles and the really difficult run outs where a lot of creativity and skill are required to get there, and also likely the least interesting to someone who is not a player, at whatever level.
The thing that really confuses me about your comment is either you watched it, or just came here to troll, or were somehow kidding. What I can't believe is that people make weird ass comments like yours, unless I missed something.
I figured since accu-stats really can't give a reply like that, I might, instead. Hope I got it somewhat right. :-)
