- "The Prince of Pool" Corey Deuel takes on Jayson "Eagle Eye" Shaw in the finals of the Accu-Stats Make it Happen 8-Ball Invitational on November 14, 2017.
Deuel is known as one of the most creative players in the game, over the last 15 years and he had already won a major 8-ball event in Minnesota earlier in the year.
Even back in 2017, Shaw was doing what he does now, winning everywhere. He was the reigning US Open 9-Ball Champion and had wins earlier in the year at Turning Stone, Derby City the Ginky Memorial and the Dismal Swamp Classic.
Jeremy Jones and Danny Diliberto were in the commentary booth.

More 8 ball!!! So much more interesting than 9 ball imo.
It’s hard to listen to pro 8-ball commentary sometimes. Billy can be the worst when it comes to constantly criticizing patterns, but even JJ and Danny in this match are overly critical of what are perfectly fine shot selections. They are great for other disciplines, but the 8-ball pattern criticism is so tiring
I totally agree. Less is more when it comes to 8 ball commentary. For the most part I think JJ is a great commentator, but Danny is difficult for me to listen to. Very critical, often times wrong, and seems to disagree with any other way of running out that isn't his own. That being said his knowledge of the game is obvious, and his contribution to the sport is commendable.
People complaining about commentary are always way more obnoxious and repetitive than the commentators they complain about. They're knowledgeable and well-respected figures of the game who get paid to narrate AND speculate/comment on what's happening. It makes the format more digestible. If you don't like it literally just mute it.
@@kingtime08921the additional phrase "often times wrong" was absolutely perfect here. I couldn't have put it any nicer/accurately.
Solid battle.
Only $1000 for the win? I knew the money had gone from pool but that's barely anything😐
Its $1000 for each match win. Getting paid $1000 per win isn't too bad.
@@maxdurk9611probably 200-250 per night at the hotel then purchase 3 meals a day for at least another 100 and then add travel expenses by car or plane! A grand isn’t that much after all thst
Those shirts are hideous. Who looked at those and said yes, let's make all the players wear this.
Your mom
@@JudySucks That would make too much sense
@@Arthur-nr5ci how is she doing by the way?
@@JudySucks She misses you
Max Headroom gets a residual check for real. But I like em. Better than furry moobs? hahahaha whew.
Only $1000 for 1st???
Dude sounds like he missing some teeth lol
Corey needed to stop acting like he has some kinda guru breaking on the 2nd ball in from the side be a man hit the rack straight on with power and they will spread out easily and all the balls will separate his way of breaking is dumb I played for over 30 yrs and not once did I ever not make a ball on the break.
Wow, and you expect people to believe you had a 100% record breaking in 8 ball. Stop BSing.
I'm pretty sure that wasn't his problem dude like at all lol you know darn well he can hit hard and make balls on the break, he simply preferred or chose to do it a different way and is pretty objectively a modern day genius of the game.
