    This is the year of challenges.What I mean by challenges is you challenging yourself to break away from the supposed norms that have served you nothing but headaches. Challenge what you eat, what you watch, how you react, how you move during the day.Hold yourself accountable and move yourself into a space of discipline. Set discipline traps that force you to have to stay disciplined when you don't have the motivation for it.An example is buying a lockbox for your phone and locking it up for a minimum of 10 hours per day.Setting discipline traps for yourself will help you build a disciplined lifestyle.

      In law school, the demand was crazy. I got to the point, I left my phone in the car in the glove box when I came home from class. I would put it in my room. But that didn’t work. Because my phone was still accessible because it was in the apartment.. so I just left it in the car. I didn’t have social media when I was in law school. I deleted all my pages. I graduated from law school in 2015. Now I’m trying to get through the challenging bar exam and pass. I wish I could just study and focus on just that. But I have bills. I’m trying to be disciplined and consistent. I want to pass it this year.

      Can you elaborate on the discipline traps!? 🙂

    • @Pw32828
      @Pw32828 5 місяців тому +3

      Ok… so discipline traps is something I made,just in case you was looking online for it lol.. Basically what I call a discipline trap is setting up a condition that will make you have to commit to something you want to do but don’t have the discipline or desire to at that moment. So.. a few years ago I wanted to go to the gym ,but I honestly hated going because I didn’t like working out. I knew I wanted to work out so what became somewhat of a discipline trap for me was ,I would buy the GNC energy sport supplement pills, which were just vitamins, but they had pill in it that also gave you somewhat energy so you could work out fairly decent. I knew that if I took the pack, I had no choice but to go to the gym simply because I tried not to one time and I had the worst headache from not using the supplements the way it was supposed. Another discipline trap for me to buy the lock box and say to myself as soon as I get home, I have to put it in the box. mind you, I definitely thought about things I needed to get done that pertain to my phone before doing it but once I locked in on this idea as soon as I got home, I started putting it in the box and locking it for 10 hours .I noticed that though I wanted to surf the Internet I couldn’t on my phone, which was the most convenient way for me. another discipline trap I did was when I bought food. I purposely didn’t buy any snacks and only bought fruit so I would know that even if I decided to want to snack I had no choice but to eat fruit . there might be a term for this, but this is what I call it and I find that the more I find ways to put myself in positions that I have to follow to become more successful in achieving that goal.

    I think I’ve watched this video about five times now from start to finish. It reminds me so much of the Bible when Moses went up to the mountain for a while and came back with fresh word for his people. There is a special anointing over you. May God continue using you and revealing himself to you. God bless

    I did a raw vegan “diet” for 3 months late last year. I was looking the best I have ever looked. Lost a bunch of weight, skin was VERY VERY clear, mental clarity, depression almost gone. Lots of energy.. just a bunch of compliments. Now I’m back to the usual me and I hate it! Drinking, partying, gained lots of weight.. skin is a mess.. depression is back. I’m trying my best to start again.

    Words carry power. We have been conditioned to say, "DIE•T" which is true if we are consuming lifeless food items. But when we say, "lIVE•T when consuming God's food it speaks abundantly (spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally) in our lives.🙏🏿💪🏿

  • @kooliecurlz93
    @kooliecurlz93 5 місяців тому +9

    About being plant based, it’s really not for everyone ( for more reasons than just being ‘lazy’ etc) and a better approach is probably encouraging people to eat more whole foods overall. We’re well aware that the majority don’t even have the finances to maintain such a lifestyle. At times we speak from a place of privilege and don’t even realise it. Very good video nonetheless, all the best.

    Welcome back Phil!! 🤍🙌🏽 there’s reward in sacrifice. You look so much freer and awakened. Everything you’re saying is so true!!! The privilege of convenience has made us lose sight of truly making our choices out of purpose instead of impulse. There’s so much renewing of the mind that needs to take place in us in order for us to stop following the patterns that seem normal or just because it’s familiar. Our mind has to be transformed to the mind of Christ regarding all aspects. Evaluation and acceptance is the key and step toward healing what was hidden. Knowing that what was in the past happened, but now holding the power to choose which path we want to follow presently. God bless!

    Wow, so many gems in this video. I visited sprouts today to get some high quality food and meal prep for my mom (she started a vegan/plant based diet after finding your UA-cam channel in Dec 2023) and for my brother who is autistic. I have my masters in nutrition and I’m ready to share my knowledge with my family after moving back with them from out of state. So this resonates with me so so much. I feel like when we watch certain people we become more like them in general. We are what we consume. Thanks for always dropping gems. Also I appreciate you clarifying the concept of not sharing your fast with people. I reverted to Islam in 2018 and have always been afraid to tell people if/when I’m fasting. But sometimes we have to tell people for various reasons and that would always make me nervous. May God continue to bless you Phil. Take care ❤

The truth is, that’s all the reward they will get. 17 So when you fast, wash your face and make yourself look nice. 18 Then no one will know you are fasting, except your Father, who is with you even in private. I feel everything you saying when you say, God help me get through everything that it's meant for me to go through, but I believe at this point in my life I'm done going through obstacles. I'm only prospering and living the life that I want and choose to live and that's a life of happiness and righteousness. I feel like when you get to a point where your vibration is high everything in your life will show up as an embodiment of that. 🙏🏽❤️ Danny Moral was talking about that a few months ago on his podcast. Eventually everything is in alignment and balanced in your life and you no longer have harsh experiences you go through.

    Listen lol I was one that sent an email. I was ready to hop on flight but I didn’t know where I was going 😂😂
    On a serious note I’m glad you’re ok but PLEASE let us know next time so we don’t worry..
    You’re so right about when you eat high vibrational, your intuition is higher and you can hear God more.. I’m 8 years plant based 😊

    Alignment can be a challenging phase of life's journey. We never know how off track we are from our purpose until we reach the top of the mountain. I'm climbing and becoming aware, similar to what you shared in this video. Definitely cool to hear similarities.

    good evening. welcome back. all i have to say is idk what God did with you, but you have become very gentle. i know i should be eating correctly for God and for me.
    one side of my brain knows being plant based is the right thing to do. the other side is like "do not tell me what to do. you're not the boss of me, i will die anyways so i might as well."
    for me it's even worse bc i have a condition called oppositional defiance disorder.
    the evolution of your approach when talking to us about being plant-based is, instead of loving hard; you have become very gentle with your love. and i prayed for God to complete that evolution in you bc you would go in and out of being gentle. i love that so much for you. i just came back from publix, got my kale, bananas, avocados, and pears.
    you did it, Phil. Congratulations. keep enjoying the journey. keep going deeper.

    I love this. This is so inspirational because fasting truly does break attachments. It's one of the most powerful things we can do. I watched a documentary that was filmed a decade or two ago (idk). It popped up on my UA-cam feed. This man who was overweight committed to a 30-day water fast, which we know now that strictly consuming water is not healthy because the body needs electrolytes. But the great thing that happened for him is that he got to the bottom of why he was overweight and comfort eating and he even extended his fast longer. Additionally, his health improved and he lost weight and body fat, which he needed to. A lot of us do, me included 😂 I thought that was amazing and just shows that WE CAN DO ALL THINGS through The Lord. WE CAN break the attachments that we need to let go of. I'm thankful for the positive impact you continually make and I'm looking forward to all of your upcoming content. Love you, Phil, and God bless you 💟
