bought this for sale at $2 in 1991, a year before Stonebridge came with his remix and this track went viral. This is actually the real original. Thumbs up for sharing this. Still have it and this great original is timeless
@@bloomoggi Jesus get a grip. What he/she meant was, was that it was a worldwide hit. The world existed before the internet you know. What are you, 12?
@@mariea82 actually my 12th birthday was in 1991. I'm 43. I was there the first time round. "Go viral" in 91? We didn't have that internet expression. I think we said blew up or something. Bloomoggi is me too.
Fabulous to hear the evolution of a classic. This is good in its own 80s dance style way and the vocal perfect of course but you can totally get how the remix version injected some special and is next level.
I love every single version of this song! The original, the Stonebridge club mix, the Steve angello mix from 2008... thats almost the perfect dance song!
Not bad at all, the saxophone combined with the House beat is an interesting touch, but I can see how this might have been forgettable. The much more popular 93 version, though at times overplayed, did take it to a whole nother level that made it the definitive version of this tune.
@@djlotfiwah The original sounds cheap, like it was made on a casio keyboard. Stonebridge gave it an aggressive edge that MOVES a dance floor. This is just too light and fluffy.
Woah! I never knew that this song was originally released in 1990! Sweet upload man! (Plus I kinda hear a bit of Jocelyn Brown's "Somebody Else's Guy" in this. Really cool production on this one) :D
crazy right. Fred McFarlane produced both too! And, it's also interesting that the lyric: "I'm tired of getting caught up in those one night affairs" is sort of a throwback to Inner Life -In a One Night Love Affair, which had Jocelyn Brown in it.
I never knew about this remix but I like it! Though I must say I prefer the Stonebridge mix more since that's the version I have come to associate with the song and the one that brings back happy memories of the 90's. It's still interesting to hear what the song originally sounded like before Stonebridge remixed it.
Got to admit that its def got the same riff as jocelyn song but I take it that it was part of the swe mix collection bit like dmc and djs loved it and started playing it till champion released sten version
I hear a bit of similarity from Evelyn “Champagne “ King’s Love Come Down in this. I like this and the stonebridge’s remix. Two different flavors of the same song. I love how this version sounds 80’s- ish and the other very 90’s.
Wow I actually like this one better than that overplayed version, It's kinda like how Sybil's "Don't Make Me Over" was released before it was remixed and became a bigger hit later on.
Wow! Stonebridge definitely breathed life in to this song! It is okay at best, but nowhere near as good as the version we all know! Thanks for uploading! I do like the knowledge and history of house and all music in general. However, I wouldn't buy this or take it if it was free.
This version though interesting is far less original. It sounds like a 80's demo. The 93 mix finds its korg M1 electrosound that enlights this unique tune.
Antòni Gèli the vocals match better with this version though. And the popular version might have been original at the time, but it’s very repetitive and simple and a lot of other things sound like it now.(I still love both versions though)
I think the Stonebridge version got loads more of energy ....and bit more original than this one.... It even sounds like Jocelyn Brown - Somebodys else guy
This Original Mix still sounds 80s while StoneBridge's Remix was the sound of the 90s!
When I was dj in a club in France I use to played this tune mixed with Ce Ce peniston finally 🙏 Both works very well together
Have you heard also with Gipsy Woman from Crystal Waters? Those 3 songs are really good together

nothing went viral in 1993

Only heard this version once, in a grocery store.
My god! I love it. 28 years and I had no idea this version existed.

The original was bad, even from an 80s perspective.😢
What a voice!
My Mix! I haven't heard this for years. Many thanks. Tony King
Amazing Mix Tony, thanks for making this!!
(Though Discogs says you didn't mix this but Anthony King lol!!)
Love the 'Somebody Else's Guy' Sample - just fab
First time hearing this version, shocked that this is the original. I like it though. I really do.

When the Remix is better than the original. Thank you Stonebridge.
The original is 1000 times better than the remix, the groove in this version cant be heard on the ugly electro Stonebridge version ..

you're talking rubbish, this version would have stayed underground at best@@djlotfiwah

Not saying this better than the song that became a hit but this is 🔥
This wasn't going nowhere I'm glad Stonebridge did his version
Bom gosto não é pra qualquer um... Stonebridge mix é gosto comun
I think this mix had potential. The chord progression here fits the vocals better.
This and the Tonka 2002 mix are the best
no it doesn't
Never heard this before. Super nice, love the beat.
so very nice!!! j'adore! très belle version....
love this version...the bassline is reminiscent of Basement Boys work from the same period
And she had the flu when she recorded it one take and she was done..... the remix added that opening Whaillllll
Came here from Frankjavcee tweets lol.
glad youre here
smooth...funky...
Classic....👍
wow, comment etre passé a coté !?
Can confirm on original acapella, you can hear this beat in the background slightly.
Beautiful

Thanks for uploading this, I wasn't aware that the original rocked so much more than Stonebridges mixes.
such greatness
Schoner Classic 90s
Thanks for uploading this for those of us who wouldn't have heard this song otherwise.
I've never heard this version before. It's a bit generic but not as bad as I was expecting. She's got a great disco diva voice.
thanks my friend for uploading this track ! best Version ... listen to the dj tonka Remix . not bad !

This song exists since 1990. I broadcasted it. This mix was extracted from the maxi version..
Nice
nice
Think about a perfect remix.
👉📀👈🆗
I can see how this version, as nice as it is, didn’t really go anywhere. It’s very run of the mill for the time period.
Wow I actually like this one better than that overplayed version, It's kinda like how Sybil's "Don't Make Me Over" was released before it was remixed and became a bigger hit later on.
yes!!
This happens quiet often; most people don't know the original version of king of my castle either, but only the mix from a few years later.
you must be deaf then

Exactly
It contains a sample from it
sounds like cheesy Italian House
Who knew?
i knew this version allready before the other remix came out and love it the most :-)
+stefanie gryson i love this Version
Better than the remix.
not a chance
Can’t believe how similar she and ce ce penistone sound - uncanny.
Is it a voice of a men or of a women ?
Woman.
SO WHO IS ROBIN S?! SO CONFUSED!!!
preferisco di gran lunga la versione garage del 1993
I actually like this better than the stonebridge mixes. the other good mixes are Nick nice eagle mixes.
get your hearing tested then

So, 4 stars out of 5 then?
Nothing special, its just generic house. The remix is way better
