If you just want the story and dialogue, here it is. Now this isn't all the dialogue as they characters love to talk during gameplay moments. Might as well watch the full dlc walkthrough if you want that. Enjoy!
Ironically, the last thing Sylens says to Aloy is the last thing anybody would every expect: respect and gratitude.
With all the doom and gloom and pain Aloy is always having to deal with, I was so enthralled to see her have a bit of happiness!
You gotta feel sorry for Nova. Having your personality molded like that means Lando is altering her perception and actualization of the world on a regular basis.
Basically giving her a miniature LABOTAMY every 4 to 6 hours!

Surprised they didn't kill off Sylens. Wonder if they'll recast him in the next game - he's such a major character.
Maybe, but it probably won't be the same without the legend himself. He'll be missed.
Because he did die recently even if they wanted to to it it woule be a cery short time frame
you can't just kill off a mastermind in the story. He is supposed to be a major character in the next game. Let's see what Horizon does.
Burning shores has been finished way before his death, it would have delayed the dlc for them to do that

Having a different voice coming out of Sylens' mouth is very much preferable to erasing the final part of his character arc.

Weird... A.I.'s aren't supposed to just be sentient & self aware by default, not to mention be able to make emotional decisions on their own. How could Walter possibly not be aware that his A.I. had this capability?
I am honestly more fascinated by this A.I. than anything else in the entire game. I wish we had more time with it and/or could have saved it!
In Horizon lore, they have this thing called the Turing Test where if an AI surpasses 1.0T, it becomes indistinguishable from a human being. CYAN scored 0.6T and GAIA scored 1.38T.
Horizon AIs also have an ability to evolve over time. It's possible Nova deliberately hid her evolved sentience from Walter so he wouldn't "fix" her.

I would have given her an alternative option, to join Aloy & see how she likes it, and if it isn't suitable then Aloy would agree to destroy her.

I haven't played the game yet, but how did this new girl even know that this new villain was bad to begin with? Doesn't her tribe all basically worship these old ones? These... living ancestors? So why didn't she ever even question why Aloy was going against him? That would have made for an interesting conflict. Guess they just made her compliant for the stories sake?
she already broke the rules and took a focus, so it’s not unbelievable that she would fight one of the zeniths

Lol we honestly have to remember that the Focus is pure magic & fantasy. Even if we one day had devices like this, they would NEVER be allowed access to even half of the data Aloy gets access to. With the Focus she can view & control pretty much any data or piece of machinery, & that simply isn't how tech security works. In reality, she would be locked out from accessing most everything she comes across.
The public isn't just allowed to look at & control sensitive systems or data that belongs to other ppl. It doesn't work that way.
The Quens focus are like that. Aloy’s, made at the end of zero dawn for zero dawn staff, has all the overrides required
Alpha and Omega clearance gives Aloy access to almost everything. Everyday normal folks with Focuses would
Be locked out.
Aloy doesn't have a random civilian's focus, though. The data on her focus came directly from a Zero Dawn worker. They had clearance for everything.
As others said, Aloy has the Focus of one of the Zero Dawn workers. Basically the most important humans at that time. She's fine
@@samsmith4242 It doesn't really work like that either. Ok... Example. Let's say you ventured to the Microsoft headquarters & wanted to access the servers there. Just because you have clearances from a top secret government project doesn't mean it's going to give you access to a random company's servers. It doesn't matter what company it is, there is no such thing as a "Master Override" for any locked down piece of hardware. It simply doesn't work like that.
It really isn't important as this is clearly a fictional world. I just thought it was an interesting point to discuss.

Soon. I had selected the “brainy” option. Aloy currently have TOO much on her plate right now. Aloy spent the last two years saving the world and another threat is coming. I think they should of expanded on the relationship in the next game and then have the two get together at the end. This is way too soon.
Your explanation is sound. Having too much on one’s plate would eliminate the heavy weight of romance. Priorities have to come first. You’re not being homophobic. You’re being realistic in terms of the conflict.
@@Legba85 Human emotions are messy and complex. People fall in love all the time during even worse conflict than this. It's literally human and realistic. We are not machines and sometimes we don't put "priorities" first. Aloy is a human being too, capable of feeling the same feelings every one else does, "priorities" or not. That's kind of a major aspect of her character arc actually. So it's completely inline with her development and her learning she is allowed to also live for herself, and not just a tool to save Earth.
I feel like they're testing the waters for possible romance implementation in the 3rd game. And making this romance option gay also tests how much outcry from neckbeards there's gonna be. Aloy will most likely be bi, since she has great potential romance options of both genders : Erend, Petra, Talanah, Kotallo, Avad, to name a few.
@@steelbear2063no, and no. Confirmed that Aloy’s feelings for her are non-negotiable. That happens no matter what you chose and they’ve been saying that you don’t define Aloy with choices on purpose. She confirms in this very dlc she’s never had feelings for anyone before like that.
Devs in multiple interviews throw cold water on the idea repeatedly. It’s not happening.

Aloy CLEARLY says that this DLC was played in the span of SEVERAL MONTHS!!!!
So uh... How exactly does this guy still have his shield? & why on earth woudn't he try to fight Aloy himself, knowing she can't harm him? What a fool, so smart yet couldn't think of the one surefire way to beat her? Even Aloy couldn't touch them with that shield up.
Also, considering Aloy was going after a Zenith, I don't get why Sylens didn't think to give her a version of his Shield destroying weapon to use against him.

I think Aloy is more fitting as a loner who doesn't let anyone too close. This almost feels like a bit of an alternate Aloy, like fanfiction almost. Feels a bit surreal, not sure I like it.
It’s just too fast and too little time. There’s no chemistry. They needed more side quests together.
@Sabu113 Agreed. To me it feels kind of forced. I don't feel or see anything between them. It's like they had to get together simply cus the script says so.
& thus I wish I could ask the devs why this was necessary. The DLC could have done without this love plot & still would have been every bit as good. It adds absolutely nothing & is honestly just an unneeded distraction.
RECorp with their Chips, CertainT with their decryption might be a solution for Nemesis but I'm curious why Guerrila gave a "human" name to only one of the Corporations, Gideon...

And why would he just abandon his entire project of bringing these Quen with him just cus Aloy is there? He's got the freaking shield! He could have easily killed her vs running! The hell's he running for??
He's supposed to be smart but man this is pretty damn dumb. & this entire strangeness of the plot could have been completely avoided had they simply not given him a shield. His shield should have been destroyed anyway. I'd like to know how he has his, or how they even left this gaping plothole in the game.
I imagine he bailed on the Zeneths when they got to earth, so he wasn't there during the fight on the island. They should have had Aloy break his shield when she meets him, that would definitely warrant him panicking and making stupid decisions.
Maybe he saw what happened to the other Zeniths and got the hell out of there. He didn’t know if Aloy still had the shield busting technology. Being smart doesn’t always mean you have common sense.
@@karimah8687 That last sentence is so true. For the devs that is, not explaining or fixing this gigantic plothole. Considering the entire plot of the game was based around getting through their shields, they sure spent a lot of time COMPLETELY IGNORING this guy's shield! I.... Have no words to describe how dumb this is, & it sort of baffles me that more ppl aren't bitching about it.
I knew alloy since begining of foribdden west, due certain dialogue she was going get into same sex relationship with another girl all along, but didn't know who but apparently all took finding exact doppleganger of her.

@@octavius9685 The fact it was pushed as one of the villains in the previous game was and that another character was hinted at it am, really not surprised. Though a bit relieved they didn't full in on it.

Honestly wish they hadn't included the lovey dovey bits in this DLC. It feels rather forced to me. Besides, I think Aloy works much better as a single, strong woman. There's no reason to force her into a relationship. It isn't going to do anything for the plot besides alienate the fans who wanted her to be with someone else.
Would have been better to keep up the will they/won't they stuff, so everyone can fanfic in their own minds 😅
Honestly, that's probably what they should've done. The only thing I heard about with this DLC was her gay kiss and nothing else. Nothing about the story or literally anything other than her gay kiss. All it's done is cause problems and have people say some homophobic stuff. Me personally, I don't care if Aloy is gay, nothing ever indicated that she was interested in either sex romantically, but I would've preferred her single.

Ya, I mean it is a little forced, considering she's a brand new character, one Aloy hasn't even had that much time with. But hey, that's how Love works sometimes. It just hits you, and you really can't even help who you fall in love with. I think they did a fine job with it all things considered. Maybe I shouldn't just dismiss that it's an agenda or whatever, but nowadays it sure does feel like it with the way the media pushes this stuff down our throats these days.
