@SuperFanFiction or no one will play Sylens even in MCU they didn't recast Chadwick Boseman hard to say which route this game will take though.

Sam Witwer did an excellent job in this game and when I realized he was Londra I was delighted. He never phones it in in any project he does.
I stand by my opinion that Days Gone was a masterpiece, even if the story was a bit too long to complete. Sam was excellent and I loved Deacon St. John's dynamic with Sarah.
Well yeh he played Star Killer in Force Unleashed 1 and 2 so of course he does not phone it in.
Walter behaved like a sith master since his character is willingly evil 😈

Massive kudos should go to the writers for making Londra as compelling as he is, given the DLC story's short run time (something that can be said about most of the DLC characters, in truth). Just a shame that the other Zeniths, apart from Tilda, didn't get the same treatment.
They can't all be developed to that extent (actually, with this game's lore and datapoints, maybe they could've).
I do find it ironic that what you call "compelling" is a function of how CREEEEPY they are. Tilda always seemed off, and we learn she was an obsessive collector trying to add a Sobek Real Doll to her collection. Whereas Walter is Tilda scaled up -- building a mindlessly loyal retinue of Quen for his own ego
Great writing, indeed! Ted, Tilda & Walter are all truly hateful characters yet still compelling to watch (and that much more satisfying to defeat)
The Zenith I wished we got to know aside from data points is Chen???, the one who loved Vegas. Even Tilda said he was "one of the good ones"

Am i the only one here, who thinks that we were hunting an evil version of Tony Stark. I mean there are a few similarities. He's rich, a genius, has a flying suit, a redhead wife, an AI who works for him, he loves to be worshipped, a media superstar, he has his own park, hell, he is even using the word "Avenger" when he meets Aloy in person.
And he uses an OP metal suit and other sorts of technology. 😎💯

That'd be a cool detail but they're credited to different actors. Nova is voiced by Cia Court while Evelyn is voiced by Kelly Deadmon. Besides, Walter thinks Evelyn betrayed him; I doubt he'd want Nova's voice to remind him of that betrayal.

You cheated on him and get divorced but when the world is ending you come back crawling to him only to find out he already gone 😂
The individual graphics & cutscenes in this game are absolutely superb, but I have always felt the animations in battle lack polish compared to the first. Seriously, watching gameplay of the 1st game being played, something about the way it moves just looks/feels more polished to me. It's almost like Aloy & the machines are missing frames of animation. They don't seem to move as smoothly as they did in the first game.
Sorta agree but could be we're just more forgiving of the cruder animation. Sort of an "uncanny valley" effect -- the more ambitious the animation, the more we see the flaws

So apparently Guerrila stated of all things that the texture rendering of the clouds were the main reason this is ps5 only.
Many people cannot play this and experience fighting a Horus and having Zenith weaponry because of clouds. *CLOUDS* 😂😂😂
Sounds pretty damn suspicious to me, too. Horizon's one of PS's tentpole franchises; makes sense they'd use it to FORCE us to buy the PS5. Not that I'm complaining, since I got a decent deal for my PS4 on eBay by just waiting a year after PS5's release
I was not a fan of the Zeniths as villains because they posed very little threat throughout the story outside of a select few scenes, and when info was given about there past and "personality" it was revealed that they were painful stereotypes of asshole business owners/millionaires and not much else. With the exception of Londra and the guy who built underwater Vegas (I forget his name) which for me shows how lazy the writers were for characters and main plot of this game. Which is why I think this game is a bit overliked, and it should be critiqued more for these obvious flaws. Having said that, they have improved the story a little bit with this DLC which although not fantastic (due to writing problems) I find to be better than the base game because of the writing of Londra and how he single handedly holds the story together by the writers giving him proper character writing to make him somewhat interesting and a much better villain than the other Zeniths. Also rest in piece Lance Riddick, I adore your portrayal of Sylens the best chats easily in these games, and your hilarity in "Toys R Me".
I was thinking about everything you said now a couple months ago when i finished the game, then when i played burning shores and it gave some depth to londra and how egotistical they were helped, then i just realised it wasn’t actually badly written. We just haven’t seen enough of them. Remember, Nemesis is LITERALLY the Zenith’s, I remember seeing a note where walter could hear his own voices and thoughts when he was escaping and he almost died while listening to them. Seeing that just meant that we haven’t seen enough of the Zenith’s/Nemesis yet, I imagine a bunch of egomaniacs sludged into a brain doesn’t exactly make it work well and we’ll probably see that in the 3rd game

@@tqd2008 I mean maybe, but if this is the case then this is not seeing enough of them was a potentially VERY fatal risk the writers made. Because if the rest of the game didn't land in an otherwise pretty lame fetch quest type story then there likely wouldn't be a 3rd game. Even then i would've liked more Zenith interaction in the story especially when we were gathering Gaia's sub functions because they think we are dead after the Hades location. So why wouldn't they go after the other sites? Yes I know they could've been waiting for her to do all the dirty work, but if that was the case at least show us they know we are alive, which will make them have a more ominous presence that could attack any moment not just characters that existed until they attacked at Gemini (BTW that is nice symbolism Gemini being a twin constellation and Aloy and Beta being pseudo twins) which was supposed to be a "oh these guys need to die now they killed Varl" but it was more of a "oh you guys still exist, and you killed Varl, um ok" type feel. It's a very big flaw and a failure at basic story telling, and the game still has pretty bad character writing. Like my most hated character Beta, aka the most slappable character in HFW, she's incredibly annoying and every time I interacted with her it felt like that batman slapping Robin meme with Aloy being Batman and Beta being Robin, and I wanted it to happen. Then we have the lackluster script that felt like robots were writing it rather than a writing team, it's just not very good and I can go on and on about how this story could've been so much better with some simple tweaks but I've been going on for long enough so ill leave it tehre.
I mean, you see how overindulgent, egotistical, and outright idiotic and full of themselves real life billionaires are right?! It makes sense to me that if technology progressed to the point it did in these games; these types of people would act like and do the same types of things as these zeniths. Make no mistake, billionaires are not our friend.
Some millionaires are assholes, but a lot of them simply aren't, statistically the ones we hear about are always blabbing off on social media, and from the get go aren't very good people like Kanye West for example. These people are only a small portion of these millionaires most of them are pretty quiet and reserved business people, and the reason why they always try to make more money is because of how competitive they are money has no real value to them. But I'm not here to debate the morals of rich people, because UA-cam isn't the place to do that. Instead I want to point out that I'm tired of reading about them and hearing about them in the media and now in the games that I play that I use for escapism. Which is what a game should be a form of escapism not a reminder that these guys are out there only for me to ultimately roll my eyes at it because of how pointless it is because of how much it's been shoved down my throat that rich people are bad, it's time to move on.
