I'm 41 years old. Just bought a bike like 3 months ago. I'm not sports person but i love to watch. lol. Now, I'm enjoying riding my bike, with couple of friends or myself (plus just saw your channel, fuckin yeah fuckin encouraging. It's like books of sacred, i mean vids of sacred that you need to watch everyday. Before and after cycling or to motivate you on lazy day that you need to move your ass up). It's just free up my mind. Mentally and physically. I feel damn fuckin great. Love every single your vids, your spirits, your passion. Take a good care, boss.

I'm 21 and have been procrastinating ever since I graduated high school, not trying to better my life, just working a low-wage job while smoking weed and playing video games. Your videos and mindset have seriously encouraged me to start changing my life. I stopped smoking a few months back and used the money that would have gone towards drugs to buy a road bike, and it has quite frankly done wonders for my mental (and physical health). I used to be shy and cared way too much about what other people think of me, but through you I've found to not give a shit about what people think and have started living for myself. Now I'm going to a trade school so I can at least make decent money to do what I want with my life. Thank you for your years of content creation. Ride fast and die last ✌️

Thanks for the message, takes a special kind of confidence to get sentimental about life. I lost a best friend 4 years older than me when I was 24. Changed everything. Their grave is a type of place I didn't know even existed. A step away from the reality I'm so engrosed in. It's hard, people don't understand why I do the things I do now. the strange thing about grief is that it’s made me enjoy life more. seeing 5 relatives die in the span of 5 years made me flip completely and I now live a life full of only the things that I love. an even stranger thing is that when you’re enjoying your life, people notice you and come to you with their hands full of opportunities! i wish i could have acquired this lesson without all the sorrow that came with it, but i don’t think that’s possible...

At 58 years young I totally understand where you are coming from. There have been many funerals and many death bed visits for me. Seen a loved one struggling to take their last breaths is an awakening experience. Sure I have many things that I wish I could have accomplished, many trips not taken and many battles lost, but when I look back I see also many things accomplished, many amazing trips and many, many battles won. Raising a family, seen my kids grow up to be successful adults and having their own kids has been one of the most rewarding of all the experiences that I have. Thank you Lucas, your videos have always been very inspirational and rewarding.

This is some very real shit, Lucas, and there's always a place for it. I'll be perfectly honest and say that there's something about your persona that has always unnerved me a bit, but I've always maintained tremendous RESPECT for what you do and the way you seem to live your life. I try not to judge others, as I've no idea what they've been through, and can only assume that they're dealing with their own demons in the best way they can, and with the tools that are available to them.
I'm inspired by what you offer on this channel, and even though I could never duplicate what you do on a bike (nor do I aspire to), I find comfort in the fact that there's some out there like you, doing what you do. We all have our own path in life, and I'm grateful for the manner in which you share yours. I hope all of this makes sense, as I truly wish you only the best, and look forward to whatever you feel compelled to share with the rest of us in the future. This is a timely post of yours, as I've been faced with a recent death in my own family, and a world of immense change in front of me. With that being said, I think it's time for ride. 00:39 😂 As soon as you said that, I heard my wife's mouth telling me all about myself! For some reason, she felt that she knew me better that me..."Let me tell you something about yourself...[fill in crazy talk here that I'd tune out and make her sound like Charlie Brown's teacher]! Personally, I lost 8 people (deaths of family & friends) last year and at least one this year + 5 co-workers to COVID.

When I hit 50, I scraped a lot of people off the bottom of my shoes, burned those bridges and never looked back. I've been enjoying my days ever since up here in the Catskills and I work downstate in The City everyday (that's NYC for you non-New Yorkers). As always, thanks for your vids bro.
P.S. I was handed a death sentence last year (high cholesterol, crisis hypertension [198/140] and Type-2 Diabetes). I got my rear in gear, put my bike on the road and turned it all around (literally reversing my Diabetes and bringing my BP down to the 120/80 range) while losing 30lbs.

    • @lucasbrunelle

Five deaths last year alone, that's heavy, serious props on the change in lifestyle BECAUSE of your #fuckit attitude and the bike.

My 25yr old cousin died last month due to the virus, together with 2 uncles, and despite that I still ride and shred everyday even if everyone tells "dont do that you Will catch the virus" also its kinda ironic that my cousin worked at a face mask factory...

Ain't calling this dark truth, it's actually pretty positive to recognize what's what. Too many get stuck doing what they hate, ending up watching their lives go by. Many live like indoor cats, never challenging themselves. Ride on, Lucas, ride fast - die last, brother. Thanks for keep rocking that flag too.
