    It´s amazing how calm the drivers are! You know the traffic in europe, they are bike "friendly" as long as they dont meet bikes in traffic. And we would get catched by the police within 10min when we get onto a highway ;)

      That's how it is in so many other cities here, and yes the more infrastructure a city has for bikes, the worse drivers treat riders when we do need to mix with traffic

      @@maltekirschberg7224 I live in France and I had some dangerous moments.. and police, they are just fucking annoying. I was on side walk on a bike when there was no person near me. I was just pushing bike with one leg and the other leg clipped to pedal, not even pedaling. A police squad passing by and threaten me that they will give me fine next time. Law is made for people's safety and order not to enrich government's pocket, ffs..

      I once had to go downhill at like 60km/h when speed limit was 70.
      A car just passes by next to me living only 50cm gap between.. And meet me in traffic signal.. there are so many stupid people out there.

    It never hurts to fly a foreign flag while hitch hiking or skitching. They'll just think, " Well, he's a foreigner that's just how they do things. Cut him some slack."

      I don't, I ride close to the car lane because; 1) fast traffic blows debris away, 2) fast traffic increases my speed

      @@lucasbrunelle its in 18405 .i once gave first aid / lc and fx sternum to a crashed biker racer from australia on the famous river road along the delaware river. many riders come for the great views and serene vibes. u will love it here.

    Flying flags on boats s usually telling of a couple things depending on the flags location on the boat. I'm not exactly sure of the specifics, but I know people will typically fly the country of origin, the flags of any passengers on board and the destination country. They sell flag kits online that have tons of them.

      Exactly and it used to be a lot more regimented, also sometimes we'll fly a flag because it's a holiday in another country that we enjoyed in the past, for example I flew the El Salvadorian flag on Nov. 2nd for All Souls Day

    I recently bought a single speed bike but would like to get average top speed of at least 17 mph. Besides getting better in health shape, would changing the cog ring in the front and back make a difference? I am currently averaging 13 mph.

      Yes it would, larger gears will force you to gain more power and go faster, I'm often in 54 x 11

      Lucas Brunelle according to the specs online, my bike is running a 42 x 17. I’ll probably try a 52 x 17. I know top speed causes slower acceleration. My goal is to use this bike for long distance, 30-40 miles.

    This is dangerous - to use this stick with flag. Please, use just flag cloth, without stick. Because if you fall forward, this stick can hurt you.

    знатоки, если можно, расскажите, а в чём сакральный смысл езды в третьем ряду, когда есть норм велодорожка? кроме того, зачем показывать куда перестраиваешься не вытягивая руку, а махая ею перед собой, ведь машины сзади(а именно для них это делается) всё равно не видят? Короче, либо я чего-то не понимаю, либо откровенно агрессивная, некрасивая, непрофессиональная езда.

      Лапки Свастики Боковым авто и передним (в зеркало) показывает. Задние остаются сзади, так как тянучка и он быстрее многих

      in Russia there are no bicycle paths, so our cyclists have their own strange rules of the road, so maybe I don’t understand something

      Лапки Свастики thank you for taking the time to reply and translate for me your writing. Look up Terry Barensten he if you haven’t seen his videos it will give you more of an understanding, he came back from Russia a few months ago and has some excellent footage of races in Moscow. A lot of this type of riding comes from messenger style and Lucas is definitely a pro at it. Alleycat racing brings in the best of bare bone, fast, in your face riding which leaves very little room for signaling and such things. Thanks again for the translation. Going for a quick ride now is 8:00 pm here in Miami.
