    Hi Andrew, Good explanation. Just want to point out. 2.5% CTR of 5000 impressions will be 125 Link Clicks (Not 250), so 40% (Landing Page Convert) of 125 Link Clicks is equals to 50 Leads, which is correct. All the best.

    Hi Andrew. Thanks for a great explanation of the metrics. I'm slightly confused though. At 6:07, shouldn't the link clicks be 125 instead of 250? 2.5% of 5000 = 125. And then 125 converting at 40% conversion rate = 50 leads? Or have I misunderstood something? Thanks.

    HI Andrew, Fantastic video. It would be great if you had a downloadable worksheet that had your example on the left and we could write in our numbers on the right. (I know I'm being lazy.) Also, I don't know if you mention how many link clicks a business needs before they can make a quality assessment? For local advertisers their audience may be small and they are in perpetual learning phase. Does this matter? Sorry for all the questions. Regards Jamie

    • @AndrewHubbard1
      @AndrewHubbard1  3 роки тому +1

      That's a great idea! I always appreciate suggestions like this. Not lazy at all :)
      Rather than waiting until you hit a number clicks, I prefer to wait 3 days and then make a decision about which ad is the winner. If you're waiting to hit a specific number of clicks and it's a really bad ad, you might spend a lot of money before you hit that click threshold.

    In the portion when you're comparing CTR (All) versus CTR (Link-Click) 12:03, it looks like the version with the lower CTR (Link-Click) is delivering ~100% more volume of results (link clicks/impressions) compared to the version with the higher CTR (Link Click). What did you find as being the cause of this?

    Great video, thanks so much! One question...how much data you recommend you have to make these determinations? I'm on a small budget and want to know about how many impressions I should have on an ad before making any changes? Thanks so much! :)

    • @AndrewHubbard1
      @AndrewHubbard1  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks Melissa! Glad it was helpful 😀.
      I like to run for at least 3 days and have at least 3000 impressions before making any decisions. Thats a really general guide though, and it changes depending on your costs. For example, if you’re ok paying $50 per lead, then 3000 impressions might only get you 1 or 2 leads and that’s not enough data to make any decisions. On the flip side, if you’re able to get leads for $1, that same $50 gets you 50 leads which is plenty to start making decisions.

    • @AndrewHubbard1
      @AndrewHubbard1  3 роки тому +2

      Here’s the approach I like to take instead - wait until you have spent 5-7 times your desired cost per conversion. For example, if you want $3 leads - wait until you’ve spent $15 on an ad before making a decision. Hope that helps!

      Ive found the other big variable to be the feedback and engagement. If an ad gets more negative feedback (people clicking ‘hide ad’ etc.) it will get a higher cpm, and on the other end an ad getting a lot of positive engagement (likes, comments, shares etc.) will help push its cpm down.
      Appreciate all of the great feedback and questions Eric. Thank you!

      @@AndrewHubbard1 Thanks for the reply Andrew. Yes I can understand that.
      FB ads are hard to work out sometimes. I've been running lead gen ads in the legal vertical for a while now and the CPM has been around the 8 -9 dollars fairly consistantly, even from launch. I launched another campaign just recently in the same vertical, but it was a different offer so I set up a different page to run it through. This ad started out about 3 times the CPM cost of the others. I have a theory that it might be the page that it's being run through. I think with this page I may have listed it under a different category. I haven't checked that yet, but it's the only variable that I can think of. I can't see it being the competition because they are both fairly niche. Have you come across this, or do you have any other ideas what could cause this?
