Wow! You guys in Japan!!! I’m so excited to watch you Japan series. Osaka looks like a bustling city. Glad you have a few more Korea vlogs left.. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I'm eagerly waiting for your next Japan vlog. Japan has so much to offer to tourists and their convenience store bento is sooo good yet cheap. Hope you have a great time and be safe.^^

This always happens during our first few days in a country! You'd think we'd learn. Our Japanese friends gave Hays some gifts yesterday and he did the same thing, haha.
yep, google maps and a suice/pasmo card makes the train system 1000% easier. Always fun to experience other peoples excitement going to japan for the first time or in a long time.

Hey thanks for the comment and warm welcome! we loved conveyor belt sushi and ate it more than once! we also had okonomiyaki. That will be in some upcoming videos on our time in Osaka!
So glad you guys made it safely! Korea and Japan is very different even though they are so close but that also means you can find a lot of korean food there just like you guys ate japanese food in Korea. Curious to see how kfood tastes in Japan.
On your last reel at Osaka with Hays riding his scooter you can see a Korean restaurant: it is written Korean restaurant in Japanese and in Korean 😂 He is so cute on his scooter by the way❤

Hey... pete here :) sorry for the late reply!! we had been waiting so long for Japan to open, so we were straight on it. We had a blast and really hope you get to go and visit at some point.

At Kura sushi, you don't get a prize every time you put in 5 plates, it's similar to a lottery, you might win a prize, but you might not get one too. If Hays likes Legos, there's a Legoland in Nagoya not too far from Osaka. Enjoy Japan!

We're lucky to have time and flexibility on our side this year! Our timing hasn't made a lot of sense (Vietnam in June?!) but, it worked out on this one!!! Thanks for watching! We're losing tons of subscribers and getting lots of thumbs down today, hehe. 😏
This is why many people in Japan (including foreign residents) are not happy that Japan is open for tourists again. The quiet and peace before was amazing. Now it’s gone in Kyoto
Thanks to you guys now I know Japan is open again, like for real! TYSM! I plan to go to Osaka in 2023. Also, I shared the same experience with trains in Japan when I went a couple times while I stayed in Korea. Tbh, I think it's a nightmare setup and not as tourist-friendly. I found the train system in Korea refreshing to go back to which I find to be more streamlined and logical, and there are big signs in English and other languages.😅Still, Japan imo is a must to have in a travel bucket list!
Hey there! Thanks for watching! I hope you have an amazing trip next year. And yeah-- I knew Japan was known for trains but didn't think about how complicated they'd be (or just how good we had it in Korea!) Korea was certainly more intuitive. Still wild to me that for both you need cash! We've needed cash for much more here in general. Excited to be here and explore more! More Japan videos coming in a couple of weeks, but first we're going to finish up our Korea series. Did you find us through this video or have you been watching awhile?
You guys are amazing what a beautiful family am sending positivity and love from London .am flying to Tokyo dec .my partner is there last time I was there was October 2019
If the time is enough, I wish to see Tokyo to Okinawa and other small towns of Japan. Also, their dessert culture is amazing. How about some sweet themed mukbang contents? 😋 Cause that was what I wanted to try when I visit Japan. Ahh If I finish my shop interior and as soon as my business starts to work smoothly, I will run to Tokyo from Seoul!!!!! Gotta spend all my KWD for 스위츠 of Japan. I dunno how to write Japanese but they use sweets to call pastries and desserts so on. Envy you guys. I wish to have a partner who can travel whole world with me and adorable baby 💓
Sweet themed mukbang content coming soon! Pete here, I have already had a custard puff from the convince store ✔️Rikuros Cheesecake (so delicious)✔️ and some homemade sesame ice cream✔️. Just getting started.
So excited to see you in Japan! Always keep your love for Korea. But enjoy Japan, too! Looking forward to seeing your comparisons. The two countries are so similar, yet so different in many ways.
It will be hard to top Korea. We’ve only been here two days, and we love it, but…we REALLY love Korea. 🙃 And so far, they’re even more different than we expected!

@@StephandPete after using up the loads on your icoca cards you can just go to a station in Osaka and get your 500 yen deposits back. Then you can set up your ic cards in Apple Pay :)
Japan is one of the most beautiful country (people, food, culture, etc.) and I really hope you guys enjoy your stay. With that said....get ready for sensory overload because Japan is in a whole different! Hahaha. I'm so excited what this Japan adventure has in store for all of us to enjoy and I can't wait for all your future videos!

日本に来てくれてありがとう! Thank you for coming to Japan! I am 16 years old, but I want to go abroad soon. So I'm studying English by watching your video. English is so difficult for me😭😭😭😭
Starting in Osaka is definitely the strat in my opinion! I always recommend this to friends and family, especially if the plan is to fly out of Tokyo. It saves you the 3-hr bullet train trip having to return to Tokyo if you start there and you can totally spend that time more productively! Flight prices are similar if not higher by a few dollars. On top of that I feel like the general population always talk about Tokyo so why not just save it for the end, right? All the friends/fam that I shared this info with ended up appreciating Osaka and Kyoto more than Tokyo :) Don't get me wrong - Tokyo is still nice but it's always the first place that comes to mind so why not give the other region/cities some love too
Nice! We started here as we originally planned to fly to India after Japan and figured Tokyo would be a better airport for leaving. Plus, direct from Seoul to Osaka is easy. It looks like we'll have a stop in between Japan and India, but it should still work well. Also, I spent 6 weeks in Osaka in 2004 but was young and didn't see much, so I was excited to come back and check out somewhere sort of familiar. We're excited to see Tokyo, but agree that starting this way makes most sense for us! We have 11 days here so can ease into it, travel slowly, and have time for planning some of the rest of our trip (we're last minute planners these days.) Thanks for watching our video!
Same exact kura sushi restaurant in the usa. The belt sushi in houston, texas. Looks like they are a huge chain cause its all over the united states too

I am glad you are enjoying your trip. But why continue to talk on the train after reading and acknowledging the sign? Just rubbed me the wrong way
This is why many people in Japan (including foreign residents) are not happy that Japan is open for tourists again. The quiet and peace before was amazing. Now it’s gone in Kyoto
I think it's ok. The train didn't seem so crowded and they were wearing a mask.
日本に来てくださり日本人としてとても嬉しいです♪楽しめましたか?😊
We had a great trip! Thank you for watching!
Do you go to Umeda, Tennoji, or Universal Studios in Osaka? In addition to Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, and Nara are also recommended.
Thanks for the recommendations, not sure we are going to do universal studios, but we are going to visit Kyoto, Nara & Tokyo 🗼
Did you find us through this video or have you been watching awhile?
happy for you guys 😘
Thanks, Lin!
I'm so bummed no more Kvlogs... thanks for taking me around Korea!!!
We have several more! Just took a short break to post our arrival to Japan in real time.
FYI all transport systems in Japan are non smoking
Of course. I didn’t imply they could smoke inside them- simply that it smells of stale smoke from people’s clothing.
Will visit, Thanks for sharing
Enjoy!
Where you got the vaccination booklet that you showed at 2:33?
It’s just a cover that we ordered on Amazon in September of 2021 to carry our CDC cards. We love it!
You guys are amazing what a beautiful family am sending positivity and love from London .am flying to Tokyo dec .my partner is there last time I was there was October 2019
Have a wonderful trip!
日本にようこそ。日本に美味しい物がいっぱいあります。エンジョイして思い出作って下さい。🍣🍛🍜🍝🍚🍗🍤🍱
Thank you!
I like mukbang contents too! And I wish you success in your business♪😉✨✨✨
@@パワー-z1m Thank you so much! You are so 🍰SWEET🍰💗🥰
Love the video. What song did you guys use for intro ?
It’s the first one linked in the description box (by HOAX.)
Haven't you been to Tokyo and Kyoto?
We’ll be in those cities soon! Our UA-cam is not in real time. But our Instagram is! Follow us over there if you’d like to see where we are currently: @awaywithhays
@@StephandPete 👍
If you have iPhones you can just add either a Pasmo or Suica card on Apple Pay and top it up using your bank card in your Apple wallet.
Ahhhh we should have done this! We got icoca cards yestefay
@@StephandPete after using up the loads on your icoca cards you can just go to a station in Osaka and get your 500 yen deposits back. Then you can set up your ic cards in Apple Pay :)
@@StephandPete cool! Unfortunately ICOCA is issued by Japan west rail company. but they dont support you to use it on apple pay :((((
Noted!
You guys should go to train rail sushi for the baby 🚆!!
Oh wow he'd LOVE that. Now whenever it's time to eat he wants to go "to the restaurant where it comes on its own."
Sensory overload can be quite fun for a small child! Hays has been doing lots of walking here and not getting bored because there's always something to look at! Thanks for watching!
日本に来てくれてありがとう!
Thank you for coming to Japan!
I am 16 years old, but I want to go abroad soon. So I'm studying English by watching your video.

日本へようこそ〜✨
Thanks so much!
7:27 well then you are in a big treat for Tokyo then 😂
lolol
15:58 gamsahamnida haha lmfao
🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Good bye! Have a good time in Japan. :) By the way, somehow you guys look way younger(about 10 years) than a month ago. ^^
Korea does that to you 😂
Haha really!? God bless, Korea, in that case. We did actually feel our healthiest there.
Are you coming back to Korea again from Japan?
Not immediately but definitely someday!
Same exact kura sushi restaurant in the usa. The belt sushi in houston, texas. Looks like they are a huge chain cause its all over the united states too
Oh that's funny, I didn't realize they were in the US as well.

We’re still discovering! Sushi will always be my favorite though. 🍣
일본편 재밌게 잘봤습니다. 저도 일본 가보고싶네용!
Guess its a good time to be an American tourist.. USD is pretty strong all over the world now, even with inflation
It is! And a good time to not be in America, as well. ;)
Inflation in Japan is only 3% compared to almost 10% in America.
@@Mwoods2272 That maybe, but the USD has gotten stronger, due to higher interest rates. Check exchange ratio
Have a great time in Japan!
Thank you! ☺️
일본여행도 즐겁고 건강하게 보내시고 귀여운 헤이즈 계속 볼수 있게 영상 올려주시면 감사하겠습니다^^♥😊😉😘♥

Because i never been to Japan .
but, still qurious about unknown place of the world!
Hi Helen, Pete here I was wondering the same thing when I was on the train. We had to wait a long time at the station and it was ringing the whole time. Maybe a standard thing I’m not sure.
