I feel a shift from many years of looking at my circumstance and feeling hopeless that things will ever change to thinking that it does not matter what it looks like. If God gave me the desire to be married then I need to first delight myself in knowing him and also push myself to work hard at doing what I believe is my life calling. Only then will those desires be met. Now I have been feeling a lot more hopeful and even excited as I anticipate a great change waiting to happen within the next year or so of my life.
I'm struggling right now brother Mark. I'm doing the right way on my approach on a person but I believe she's projecting her experiences and issues on me. It's a struggle because of the lack of communication.
Yes, that is hard. Sometimes it's not meant to be and at other times God puts you through hard things in a relationship as a way of deepening communication and the relationship, preparing you both for marriage together. So it just depends on the fruit of the trial. Try to work through it and if you grow closer, great. If you try to work through it and it falls a part, it was not meant to be
Isaiah 4:1 In that day so few men will be left that seven women will fight for each man, saying, “Let us all marry you! We will provide our own food and clothing. Only let us take your name so we won’t be mocked as old maids.”
along with these timely words , the lord does not want your relationship with your wife/ husband to become a idol that takes its place of God what God is doing in my life is cutting away things I have been holding on to that I could fall back on so I trust in him alone that my life is anchored in Christ alone . As I pray for a spouse !
Lord, I first want to thank you. Secondly, I pray that if that man I'm dating right now is my God ordained, heaven sent husband, please bless us to get married soon. I pray that you work out my current situation. Please bless us to have a long, healthy, happy marriage that brings glory to your name. Please let people be happy for us and accept our union and see the glory of God in our marriage. I count it done in Jesus name amen 🙏🏾🙌🏾
Please pray for me, ask God to give me specific wisdom and understanding & protection for my heart and mind. Please ask God to reveal to me who is my life partner, the right one for me to marry and send him to me, connect us with His love and assurance. Please ask God to give me and my future spouse the wisdom to know how to love each other and keep that love strong in our daily life and glorify God. Thank You. May God bless you. 🙏
@Apply God’s Word great content but something id like for you to consider. What about when God gives us what we demand even when it’s not the best thing for us? Like when Israel demanded a king. He told Samuel to warn them but they didn’t listen so God let them have one and gave them Saul. Maybe you could make a video about that?
yes, it does happen, sometimes he gives us something so we can let it go and move on. I may done something on that before but I have to do some digging. Great idea though!
This is an excellent point.. what you said made me think of whether someone may really like someone and may pray to be with them, even though they aren’t ‘the one’, and God may possibly give them a relationship with that person for some particular reason. It sounds pretty scary though and I think it is important to not get easily caught up by someone we like, and what we want
Important thing to note is Demand Vs Ask. Asking implies that, yes this is what I desire, but if it's not what's best for me, I bow to your wisdom. Demanding is stating this is what I want regardless of what you think. And sometimes God is literally like, okay, fine. See how well you will do with your "demands" so that he can ultimately show us that his way is better.
I really enjoyed your above "3 Ways to Pray About Finding A Spouse... Because sometimes repentance is a process, I believe we are still in the light through Jesus (1John1:6-10) If we are working hard to repent of certain sins in our life...
Yeah, problem is Solomon didn’t have to struggle with finding a wife because he had over 700 wives, and 300 concubines. I bet there were a lot of single men in Israel pissed off because Solomon had all the women in the land. Obviously they led his heart astray, so he didn’t use his wisdom there. Nevertheless, I continue to struggle with this issue. I try not to be selfish but, I’m a man and I like women. The only way for me to be able to be with a woman is marriage. Another thing is church’s are not doing enough for singles. We are often an outcast nobody remembers. In my personal opinion, it’s hard to find a godly woman today, especially in the church where I have tired, but failed.
I think one must find contentment in singleness, this doesn’t mean to not desire a spouse or anything. Nothing is wrong with desiring a spouse, but don’t make it an idol, the more you do, the longer you may have to wait. I also don’t think it is a core duty of the church to play matchmaker among their singles. Focus on being a man of God first of all, then a godly husband. Use your season of singleness wisely, patience is key here. Mark has a ton of videos on ‘the one’ which you might get some more insight.
@@pilgrim.on.a.narrow.road. I can’t be content single. Being all alone by myself with no friends or money to be able to enjoy activities has led to me having major depression and suicidal thoughts. I just can’t do it because I’ve been doing it for so long. I have been trying to focus on being a Godly man though, it’s easier said than done though.
I'm a single woman in a church of mostly married, often older couples... Yeah, it can be difficult to relate. There are more single women than men. The men are shy... I don't go out looking for men... Don't stay in and look for them online either. What to do, what to do. Friends will just throw any two singles together in my experience, never seeming to consider personalities and how they might blend. As if being single is reason enough that we should get along. I did meet a man after praying. If God sent him, God is the best matchmaker ever! I can say, while there is no romance happening yet, I'm sure learning about faithfulness, repentance, patience, and so many little things that I need to consider is definitely important. Most of all is to keep putting God front and center because nobody knows me better, or loves me more. May God bless you, and may you see how amazing His blessings upon you are!!!
@@jordanpryor4771 I know what you mean. I am single as well, and I do like someone but I don't think they like me so I'm just guarding my heart. As KD said there are few Christian men in the church, and it is difficult, especially for introverts as myself. I am going through a difficult time I would say since my dad died and grief has been a really big thing in my life. Then I ended an abusive relationship a year ago, so there is a lot to let go of. I sinned in that relationship and I know I am redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, but guilt and shame get to me at times. I am praying about it and praying that those horrid memories and flashbacks can go away. As much as i like the person right now, it most likely is unrequited and I don't think I may be in a place to even enter a relationship right now. Sorry for talking about myself so much lol, that's beside the point. I feel like there may be something more going on, and I feel like you should seek counseling or something of the sort. Speak to your pastor or the elders in the church. And keep praying and seeking the Lord no matter what. A single Christian life is definitely a difficult one but we will get through by God's sovereign grace. I would also advise that you could pursue friendships with females or such, or go to places where you would likely meet a Christian single. You can even try online dating, it is worth a shot. But brother, please don't allow this to make you feel this way, praying for you.
Heavenly Father, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the ancient Hebrew prophets, we come before you repentant, asking that you would forgive us from our sins and see us through the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Please grant us the wisdom and righteousness to make good choices concerning marriage and being yoked to the right spouse. Lord, we desire this lifelong covenant to be from you so that it would glorify you and give you honor. Lord search our hearts thoroughly, please reveal any and all selfish motives to us as we ourselves, may not be able to easily identify those motives. And may we cast them away from us. Please grant us hearts, minds and bodies that are prepared to truly love and to serve our spouses well. And may we always be willing to see the best in them. Lord, there are those who have already seen the faces of their covenant spouses, others await to meet the one. Help us all to remain chaste. Grant us covenant eyes and covenant hearts to resist fornication. Thank you Lord for singleness and thank you for marriage, for there is a time for everything under the sun. Holy One of Israel, who does not sleep nor do you slumber, we bless your name and give you all the thanks and praise that you are worthy to receive, in the name, the character and the identity of Jesus Christ, AMEN.
Nah, i spent several years in the dark alone. Its absolutely impossible for guys to not fester with personal issues and problems which hinder our faith when we are single. The reality is the longer men are alone the less value they have. It destroys their ability to control their emotions. Depression is just consant when guys are single. A couple of years and there is permininant personality issues and problems in their life. The unfortunate reality is that God sets up people that God considers of better value and that value is chosen when they are born. Those individuals are blessed 10 fold and generally all have a close to perfect life. It's easy to know God and blessed by Him when life is great. I'm sorry to say it but it's true. I've watched kids blessed after blessed. Popularity, extremely good looks, great pairing straight from the start, job, friends, safety. And it was all.laid out for them from when they were a child. Today they are Christians we want to look up to. But it was easy for them before they "prayed the right way"
No, it’s not vain it’s preference. My minister uncle told me about a book 4th dimension by David Yonggi Cho on how he prayed for a bike and a desk and God made him ask about the very specifics like color, size, material and such. My uncle said, “have you told God what you want in a wife yet?”. And I said yes. Keep praying but tell God what you want down to the smallest detail. You have not because you ask not. Ask and ye shall receive. If you ask anything in my name, that will I do. Read John 14:13-17 and John 16:23. We receive everything through faith. Mark 11:24 GNV - 24 Therefore I say unto you, Whatsoever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye shall have it, and it shall be done unto you.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus I ask you to bless my son with a suitable life partner and bless all youngsters with suitable life partners chosen by you
Mark, does the last part of your video mean we have to openly confess our sins to other believers before we can approach the throne and ask God for a spouse? I have been struggling with lust and masturbation (and although the latter has been gradually decreasing in frequency), and many times I have confessed this sin to the Lord in private prayer and tried hard to repent, but I'm not sure if James 5:15-18 is actually saying I'll need to publicly confess this sin to other believers for the Lord to hear my prayers. Thanks for your insight, God bless.
Hey br Mark, thank you so much for understanding single people so well. I have a question, would you ever consider making a video about the love of God and what it looks like when for example I don’t have a Christian father and I seem to constantly fall into traps of condemnation for loving people to much, even though none have been a partner, but simply older people people that have been there to give a listening ear, and council in the church, yet I can not make them my mother or father, I end up feeling so guilty and heartbroken. Has happened to me 3 times and I feel like I’m destined to fail in relationships. Right now I could just lock up and never trust anyone anymore. Praying for healing and answers. I don’t understand why I don’t sense God’s presence even when I’m completely open and honest with the Lord, knowing full well that I can not find it in people. I’m starting to faint in my mind and I don’t know if I can rise up again. Looking to the Lord. If it is on your heart to pray, I would so appreciate that. I understand that you have enough on your plate. But lately I’ve been wondering if I can make it.
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 NKJV
Sometimes I see click-bate titles that either don't line up with the video's subject, or it's more of a general subject of the video. You don't do that, and by the way, according to your short list, I am already on the path to a good spouse.

How can I live a life without being so angry and depressed all the time due to unmet desires? Being single and dealing with loneliness is so tormenting to the point I 100% know it'll be for the rest of my life. I just want to enjoy my life and not feel this way, why bother praying for a spouse when you know it ain't going to happen.
I was in that same dark place. I was feeling abandoned by God. Because I was grounded in the word of God, I knew that was a lie from satan. I was crying out to God for 3 years to let me die. During covid-19 the Lord began to stir my heart for change. As I cried out to Him, He rekindled my faith. I would have given up hope had I not believed I would see the goodness of God here in the land of the living. (Psalms 27:13) As I sought the Lord He told me to shake the dust off of my feet. (Matthew 10:14) The Lord directed me to relocate to another state that had been in my heart for years. My prodigal son had lived there for 14 years. He is the only family in this state and our relationship is severed as his dad divorced me 4 months after my conversion. My conversion happened over 18 years ago. I have been praying for companionship and a Godly marriage that would glorify God. This is the second out of state move I had to make since my conversion. I didn't think I had another move in me. But God made a way. I stepped out in faith in mid December. I got connected with a church. And a few months later the Lord connected me with a man as we served in ministry together. We both believe we are the answer to each others prayers. We believe this is a divine set-up. I believe a proposal is coming soon. We have been discussing details alot. I just got back from spending 5 days with his parents. Our love for one another has grown from a attraction to something deeper. We have the attraction, emotional connection and most importantly a spiritual connection. And we are best friends. We truly believe we compliment each other. And believe we are the helpmate we asked God for to live a life pleasing to Him.
Hmm. I don’t think I’ve ever taken issue with a title that you’ve used before. With that said, anyone who “needs” a spouse, needs Christ, because that would just be idolatry. The prayer of someone who “needs” a spouse should be, “Lord, turn my heart towards you and give me the desire to need you above all else. Help me to find contentment in the blessings you’ve bestowed upon me and prevent my heart from being ungrateful for the things I want that I have not received yet.” Something along those lines. Just my thoughts. I see a lot of ingratitude among professing Christ followers. God bless Mark. 🙏
agree to disagree. It's okay to have needs. It was not good for man to be alone. It didn't say Adam just kind of wanted a wife. Sure, anyone can need something in an unhealthy way, but God actually did make people with needs. 1 Corinthians 7 does state some people need a spouse. Of course we can survive without some needs. You may need certain vitamins. But you will survive without them, you will just be more unhealthy because you lack them.
Loved the video. Keep up the great work. Don't call things Holy that aren't Holy its blasphemy which is sin. Don't swear or sudo swear its sinful. Don't say or laugh at inappropriate things its sinful. Luck doesn't exist its blessings from the Good Lord Jesus Christ. Isaiah 4:1 In that day so few men will be left that seven women will fight for each man, saying, “Let us all marry you! We will provide our own food and clothing. Only let us take your name so we won’t be mocked as old maids.”
oof, sad . . .
Men choosing to go their own way lately seem to be making that verse a reality.
I like it better with the subtitles
Thanks for the feedback
Thank you Mark 💫 I think as we pray we should also not forget to pray that we become a good spouse and form good traits
amen
Please God, give me the wisdom to find a beautiful woman that suits me well. And to create a family so that we can honor you.
God bless!
along with these timely words , the lord does not want your relationship with your wife/ husband to become a idol that takes its place of God
what God is doing in my life is cutting away things I have been holding on to that I could fall back on so I trust in him alone that my life is anchored in Christ alone . As I pray for a spouse !
Way better
God bless!

I have prayed and fasted 40days but still I can't find my husband...God please next month am making 33😢
Lord god am asking for a spouse that fits toe yo know who's that man n am so thankful f yu send him to me amen
Thank you for making this video and your Wisom.
This is the day that the Lord has made.
How does one go about to live life with righteousness as described in the Bible?
Galatians 5 is helpful
I really enjoyed your above "3 Ways to Pray About Finding A Spouse...
Because sometimes repentance is a process, I believe we are still in the light through Jesus (1John1:6-10) If we are working hard to repent of certain sins in our life...
God I put everything in your hands...now I learnt how to pray 🙏
Dear God I want a husband. Amen !
Hi, I am Looking for spouse
@@ileilanambingaamtheleader1154 hi I am looking for spouse
Yeah, problem is Solomon didn’t have to struggle with finding a wife because he had over 700 wives, and 300 concubines. I bet there were a lot of single men in Israel pissed off because Solomon had all the women in the land. Obviously they led his heart astray, so he didn’t use his wisdom there. Nevertheless, I continue to struggle with this issue. I try not to be selfish but, I’m a man and I like women. The only way for me to be able to be with a woman is marriage. Another thing is church’s are not doing enough for singles. We are often an outcast nobody remembers. In my personal opinion, it’s hard to find a godly woman today, especially in the church where I have tired, but failed.
yes, life is hard. Good things aren't easy. But seeing all the problems instead of praying for solutions leads to bitterness. By grace alone :)
Father please send me a good loving husband that will be my partner in every sense and give me the wisdom.I need to have what I need
Thank you god for blessing me with a gorgeous wife I am happily married to the woman of my dreams
What's if there is delay rejection due to some spirts pray for m 🙏
Please pray for me to meet good godly soiled man to settle down am 50 years old single godly lady 🙏

Is it vain to pray for physical appearance of wife?? Like height, hair race, etc

Wat are the 3 ways to pray finding a spouse
Let it be your will.Jesus Lord😢 you know what i mean.🙏
Amen. Thanks♥️🙏

So glad you are enjoying the content!

not true all the time . . . Abraham sent his servant to find Isaac a wife
Pray for character improvement and don't give up.
But have faith! I sometimes feel like it might not be possible, but I have that faith for a reason!
Philippians 4 is helpfull
@@LadyBug31705 luck for you, you were blessed.
Amen 🙏
In Jesus Name Amen ♥️♥️♥️🙏
