Yet, (in December of 2023), this VERY first time hearing Brother Ray’s soul infusing it opens my heart ever more. He sang and played all that is true of my greatest and last love; for “mi amor lindo, Isabel”. I love her beyond all space and time.
To me, he's more than a legend. I miss him and always will. I feel so fortunate to have his music to live in me. Wish I hade known him personally, I guess alot of us might feel that way. What a treasure for America to have his music which will be available for generations yet to come. He lives on.

He sang and played all that is true of my greatest and last love; for “mi amor lindo, Isabel”.
I love her beyond all space and time.

To me, he's more than a legend. I miss him and always will. I feel so fortunate to have his music to live in me. Wish I hade known him personally, I guess alot of us might feel that way. What a treasure for America to have his music which will be available for generations yet to come. He lives on.

But Ray Charles certainly does a powerful version of it.
the thing is, most of his songs aren't really intsrumentally complex or something. but the passion behind it is what makes it so incredibly beautiful. thats what makes him one of the greatest artists in music history
