I’d like to know why she went to “prison” - she doesn’t exactly say, she sort of infers it was because of the drug bust. And I doubt it was “prison”, it was more likely a county jail; 90 days is a very short time for a “prison” incarceration.

Plaintiffs are shysters, but the defendants should NOT have gotten the car out of impound - that would implicate their ownership. She should have gone to her lawyer to get professional help in fixing the problem.

Maybe for the trip but the appearance fee is only like $300. Makes sense for a defendant since the show pays their judgement, but plaintiffs who loose just go home with $300, a 2 day trip to LA, and their entire ass shown for the world to see forever and ever. And then you got the people from the LA area who come on acting like a fool and they don't even get a trip out of it.

They have to file an actual case, Judy’s team goes and finds them as well. People can also call but there has to be an actual small claims case filed
Mark’s Enterprise should never have allowed her to drive away without registering it. The whole thing sounds sketchy to me. If I were the plaintiff, I’d be embarrassed to be on JJ. But, unless they live in CA, it’s a free trip.

When you buy a car cash out, you still have to take it to the dmv to fully register and receive tags/title. No temp tags are usually given when it’s a cash car.

Didn't register the car, it was involved in a drug bust, plaintiff already taken through court system and sentenced to 3 months in prison... maybe there's a huge plot twist coming up, but no matter what the plot twist may be, this is not ending well for the plaintiff.

I’ve purchased over 30 vehicles in the past 45 years and with every purchase I had to prove that I had a valid driver’s license, an insurance rider from my insurance company and I had to pay the registration fees to transfer plates from a trade-in or for new plates in order to make the purchase. Is that not how it’s done in all other US states?? I don’t understand how people can buy a car from a dealer without a license, without insurance, and without a registration, and yet it happens all the time. Maybe I’m just naive about because I’m not a shyster or I’m just too much of a law follower, but it baffles my mind!

I've never had to prove my license was valid when buying a car. My very first car was financed from a dealership and I never had a license at the time. I actually got my license after I brought the car

Wild how the plaintiff is laughing like the judge is on her side. And then admits the vehicle was involved in a drug bust... with one of her personal friends. Also... By-the-by - garage lots are a MASSIVE RACKET. Do whatever you can to get your car away from them. If you're in an accident, it might seem tough but get your car out and towed THAT DAY to where you want it.

It was probably damaged in the drug bust. I highly doubt the Defendant retrieved the car and proceeded to trash it. Ninety days in prison IS NOT a 1st offense. This isn't looking good for the Plaintiff.
