Yeah it's more fun too. I know what it's like as the Slayer and the hardest matches are where I'm taking insane damage constantly where they take turns to run me down then disappear completely when one dies. It's different with different demon combos but I wanted to make use of the Mancubus specifically because I'd previously thought he was rubbish. Now he's the best lol

Yeah I know what you mean. If you don't control the fight, the fight controls you. Usually the more aggressive player in games wins for sure. Depending on the game ofcourse, camping can be handy too. I needed to hide at one point but just started using the respawn the demons get as a deliberate mechanic in order for me to deal massive damage then my partner hides and I spawn back in to either help trap with the berserk up or catch him through a teleport. Ofcourse I could just be pushing again aswell. Dying as demons is not so back. Gives the slayer a false sense of security if that was the plan and the timings are good. It's a cool trick, don't see many players using moves like that
It is! It's very unique, 2 Demons Vs 1 Slayer, highly competitive matches with a high skill ceiling, a lot to learn and extremely entertaining to play. Nothing better than learning new skills then putting it all together in an intense, constant high action match and coming out the victor at the end. Definitely worth a try if you've never played before but I'd say expect to have to push through a lot of losses in the beginning. I know I had to lol. I'm hoping my guides I'm bringing up will help to lessen the gap between the new and the pro players as the game is at its absolute best when both teams are being pushed to their extremes in order to win. Also it's a great aim trainer. I'm definitely better at all my other FPS games after having played Doom Eternal and it's Battlemode... I had to... Or I got melted, now I can melt too... To me in my perspective I like to use dread knight since it’s a movement based demon I’m used to rushing the slayer and waiting for berserk so I can rush the slayer more

Unfortunately it does not no, I think if it was only ranked that would have made for a much healthier player base. I would sit for an hour between matches sometimes getting dodged for the streak system which I can understand why people do that when they are close to getting an unlock and on the other side new players in at this stage will constantly run into matches where they just get melted without a chance so that won't be fun either. I think it'd of been better if they just had the unlocks come through your rank but then that way some people will just never get some cosmetics so its hard to decide which is better. I just think all games are more fun when it's an evenly matched fight, then you get better anyway because you're playing more, because it's more fun
I just uploaded a guide. This first one focuses on Slayer mechanics but a lot of it (bunny hopping in particular is relevant) ua-cam.com/video/gMK_b04hDKI/v-deo.html basically any momentum your carrying can be extended and changed direction by pressing jump at the same time as you hit the ground, falling from a great height gradually increases your momentum and if you then jump at the same frame as you hit the ground, that downward momentum gets transferred into forward momentum (or whichever direction your pressing) the Mancubus is great for it as his double jump is so high in the first place that as long as you time it right, you always get a powerful boost from your bunny hop. I'll have a better description and example of that for the demons in one of my future guide videos but for now I hope that's a decent explanation to help answer your question
@@JoeBraveheart Thanks! I'm trying to get better at the demons on battle mode lately. Also I play on the Nintendo switch. It needs more Nintendo switch players in my opinion. I keep finding toxic and rage players on the Nintendo switch, it's hard to find players, and the archvile crashes the game alot on battle mode for a weird reason.
That's a shame. I know it's newer on the switch than on pc so maybe they'll get round to fixing that at some point soon. I know we had plenty of our own bugs in the beginning... Then the new ones that were caused by the fixes lol but it's been well worth the wait. The game can be frustrating because it demands you don't make mistakes... Then it melts you the second you do lol, so I can understand the rage sometimes but hopefully with my guides coming up there may be useful information for all platforms that will help people to enjoy the mode more and keep coming back. I'll be getting round to Demon guides as well in the near future. Just takes me a bit of time to get them right and make sure they are good quality

you can actually do a bit more damage and save a bit of fuel by shooting a fireball every 1.5 seconds-ish in-between flamethrowers.

I did play Doom 2016 on the controller before I had my PC but it's been a couple of years of mouse and keyboard now so I'm well rusty on the sticks
