On $2,000 a week I can afford living in a nice area in new hampshire, family medical dental and vision, short term and long term disability, life insurance, no car note, 6 month emergency fund, and 15% into my roth 401k, WHILE SAVING FOR A HOUSE. It's the auto loans, HUGE mortgages, credit cards, and eating out every day that make 2k a week not enough.
Currently a shuttle driver / dock worker/yard jockey making $2125 on a 50hr week . Only thing that sucks is that it’s weekend shift , and the job sucks but I’m home daily 2pm - midnight !

My mom made a hundred in the late 90’s with 1 car note and a house that cost her half as much as mine, and I used to wonder why she wasn’t rich. With what they called A1 credit back then. It’s just something about that money. It just gets ahold of you. My generation was trying to chase it. Maybe you guys will do something better than we did.
