In this video I will show you how to make scroll brush case.
Why I decided to make it on my own? Well... I wanted to make my case special for brushes with the long handles (the ones that artists use for oil paints, acrylic and sometimes for watercolor). To find the perfect case in the height of long handles brushes is quite difficult. So let's make it!
Actually you can make a case for pencils... just reduce the height of main details.
Supplies:
Fabric (cotton, linen or half cotton&half linen). I used pure linen.
Threads in fabric color
Dublerin (interfacing)
1 meter of cotton string
Equipment:
Sewing machine
Iron

This is awesome! Im going to make this for my knitting needles and crochet hooks. Ive been looking for a pattern for them for storage and this is the best thing Ive seen. ;)

That was very helpful! I now have a wonderful brush carrier. I used old tent cloth, you then do not need the extra material to thicken the roll. And you have a very pleasant voice to listen to. Thank you!

thank you! Cotton string does not stretchy) Yep, I stich over the string....cause when you turn out brush case the string will be there

Great work!. My mom is also called Tanya and she also sews. I sew too! This was like listening to my mom showing me how to make something. You did a good job explaining how to do this even though you did not know the English word for some things and materials. What you call doublrene is called fusible fleece in English. Also decorative stitch in English is tops stitch.
