Make Your Own Brush Holder | DIY Crafts

Hi there! In this video I'm making a fabric holder for my watercolour paint brushes. I've been using a box I made years ago for all my brushes and I've finally decided to make a proper holder for all my nice brushes. This is a great sewing project for a beginner as it's all straight line stitching. It's a great thing to keep for yourself or give as a gift!

Thank you for this tutorial. I just made one using dark and light grey, thick upholstery linen with no wadding, for my son's brushes. It worked beautifully. He loves it!

It's called wadding and it comes in different thicknesses that you can choose depending on how 'puffy' you want it to be. You don't need to use it if you don't want to, I like to because I find it helps the brushes stay in better 🙂

Do you mean fusible wadding to go inside? If so, yes you can but you don't have to use it if you don't want to, it will work without but it can help to hold the brushes in. Or if you mean using iron on hemming tape instead of sewing it, that could work but it might not be very strong 😊
