It’s everybody’s cool grandpa! Honestly, how many invites to Christmas does Orsara get each year through this channel? Dude is the best.
His name is Pasquale.
I can't imagine anyone not loving this grandpa.
Everybody loves this guy
I was having such a bad day until I saw this thank you so much! I love you grandpa
So happy I found his channel. He always brightens my day too!
This has always been one of my all-time favorite recipes my mother used to make it for my brother and I when we were about 10 and eight years old and she told us that this is what cowboys ate when they were out on the range. Every time I step into the kitchen I think she looks down at me and smiles.
A little applause for the well deserving person behind the camera! Excellent video quality and editing!👏👏👏
Still love you too Chef Pasquale! 💜🌶️🌶️🌶️💜
And the best part is that this is HEALTHY!! I'm a fat foodie fool for all types of cuisines, but NOTHING tops Italian cuisine nothing! Chef Pasquale makes it look so seamlessly easy. How I wish that he had a restaurant!!
My new favorite you tube chef! The authenticity is level 100%
Love your videos from Glasgow Scotland 🇬🇧
I'm irish my friend, Orsara is the best italian chef on you tube, i agree, great video recipes.
LOVE the outtake at the end! Funny! Clearly he has a sense of humor not often shown in his videos, and the outtake makes for a really funny addition. MORE!!
7:43 I love how it tastes soooo good, that Chef Pasquale's body language and reaction is like he's listening to the most beautiful music he's ever heard.
To Frank's barber shop in Monta Vista, California now known as Cupertino, I lived across the street from Frank and Mary on Granada Avenue back in the 70's when I was in my 20's and Frank and Mary were in their 80's, both born in Italy. Mary use to bring me a plate of her home Italian cooking down my driveway in the early evening so unexpected, and it was better than Original Joe's in San Jose. Honestly, Joe's was my favorite place for my folks to take me when I was a kid, but Mary's cooking was indescribable. I loved these people so much, and Mary in particular. She was short and frail but still made the effort to bring my her awesome cooking.
This uncle here is the last of the good ole days. Soak up as much of this type of people as you can get young people. God Bless! Very good recipe!!
My three year old daughter and I watch your videos all the time. We were watching this one and she says , “ mmmm yummy, Dada we go to his house”.
Thank you for bringing back memories of my Nono and letting my little Pamina and I enjoy your kitchen.
When I was a little girl my best friends dad used to make us this. I've never seen anyone else prepare it. I've been making it from memory for many years. Thanks very much for posting this video Pasquale...great memories ! 🤗
I'm in the UK. I make a lot of your recipes. Very clean cut. No exact measurements. a carefree way of cooking that is missing from most instructional recipe films. makes it much harder to try when there are exact measurement and timings. well done good sir. look forward to all the future films.
PS we can get fresh Italian mozzarella in the UK, it's is out of this world. Something you must surely miss in the United States.
my grandmother made this all the time and served it over spaghetti sooo yummy
Mama Mia!!!!!!!! All those fresh ingredients!!!!!! WOW this looks sooo delicious!!!!we will make tomorrow!!!!✝️☺️☺️🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
This looks fantastic! Can't wait to try it.
I’ve had a similar dish called “Eggs in Purgatory”, it’s sooooo gooood!! Thank you Chef Pasquale, I haven’t had this in a long time! Salute’ and Cin Cin!
My mouth always waters when you cook!! I will make this. The only thing missing, Your Sauce!! Salute, Cin Cin, Pasquale. Thank You, very much! 🍷

This dish is off the charts. So impressive. Love it!
Great recipe, i could eat this for any meal in the day, & i still say Orsara is the best italian chef on you tube, followed by a close 2nd tie with Lidia Bistanich & Nick Stellino

Just made this today! You are an inspiration Grandpa!!
I will be making this soon. I, like Maryellen Shinn, have called this eggs in purgatory. I have never added capers before, so I am excited to try this out!
I love your videos so much. It reminds me of my family.
My mother used to make this when I was growing up. I've forgotten about it! Going to make this soon. Thank you Chef. Great job!

Rica, sencilla y sabrosa combinación. Gracias.
This looks delicious. I can't wait to try it this weekend.
Looks so good and easy to make ❤
This chef is an utter joy to watch
Puttanesca is the BEST sauce in my opinion! Thanks for making this.
HA ! I make this all the time with a little twist since I was about 10 & now I am 65 yrs old , BUT I always thought my Nanny & Aunt made this up !
Who knew all Italians were making this :) My family loves this. We have it about once every 2 weeks :)
That sauce looks so delicious
Puttenesca is my FAVORITE red sauce. I love capers and olives! I don't eat eggs so I'll use chickpeas instead. Yum.
Oh, man that looks good !
Another home run. I'll make this next week.
cudaus: I just came home from shopping for groceries. I wish I had seen this video before I went out. Oh well, I can always get some things next week. I'm stuck for a meal, so I think this is how I'll solve it.
I love pasta puttanesca. When I don't know what else to make, I make that. That is one of those dishes we never get tired of. Cooking eggs on top of that sauce would be perfect. The perfect meal for meatless Monday!
Grazie Pasquale . Salute e cin-cin.
Love it,
I love you so much grandpa! You are my favorite chef. My dream is to cook with you one day!!!
Delicious !
Muy bien!!
This makes me think of a dish called Shakshuka, a spicy tomato and pepper based sauce with poached eggs. It is a Middle Eastern and North African dish. I learned about it in a UA-cam video and it has become a favorite breakfast item. I cheat though! I use one of my favorite jarred salsa as the base, add eggs just like Chef Pascale and in three minutes I am serving it with toast. Delicious!
Amazing.
My first solid food was Italian bread dipped in egg yolk. Given to me by my Italian grandfather! I was only a couple of months old at the time. Today that would never happen! I have to say, it’s still one of my favorite things to eat!
Absolutely adorable he is 💋 New subscriber 👍🏼 I also love how you put in the bloopers at the end. That was great! Thank you and hello ✋🏼
Looks delicious I love your videos. Keep going! 😘
BRAVO !!!!
la tua personalità è oro. Ottimo lavoro nonno!
Looks delisioso!!😋 love your channel 👍🏻👍🏻 you are fantstico
Oh boy!!!
Yummy Yummy Yummy
My papa made this when we were growing up, what memories...
He still make this today.
Thank you Nonno Pasquale for bringing your recipes and memories to UA-cam. 🌶🍷🌶🥚
The Best cooking show
Amazing
I put anchovies in my putanesca. Sooo goood!!!
So delicious
Delicious
Looks great, like everything he cooks. I didn't realise Italy had a version of this, it's similar to shakshuka you get in Turkey
Lovely recipe 👌
I shall make this for breakfast tomorrow ☺️
Thanks 😊
There's a very similar middle eastern egg recipe called shakshuka I've seen made on TV.
I was just thinking that
True, although in shakshuka they add cumin powder which changes the whole flavor I believe, otherwise same concept..
I thought that was north African?
@@megg3977 Both North African and Middle Eastern.
I love when he says HEYYY I GOTTAAAA!!!! Hahahaahah
My family calls this “eggs in purgatory” I melt mozzarella on top, serve with crunchy chibatta bread 🥖 😋😋😋
Maryellen Shinn - our family called it that as well. It was a favorite as a hangover cure on New Year's Day 😉
That's what we used to call it when we were kids, and I am sorry to say , everytime my mother made it, I hated it
Eggs in hell or Shakshuka is much hotter (spicier). Much.
Eggs in hell doesn't traditionally contain capers. All Putanesca or Whore sauces contain capers. Eggs in Hell contain chile peppers of different varieties.
Idk why italians call it "eggs in the way bitches do it", literally translated. I'm italian
Super!!!!
Thank you
It's great with a little parmesan, fresh mozzarella and crushed red pepper over the eggs and finished in the oven until cheese is melted.
I gotta a... Lol I love this man I gotta a subscribe!❤
I could eat this everyday....luvvv eggs.😍❤🐣
This is a great dish, whether you call it eggs puttanesca, eggs in purgatory, or shakshouka. Yum!
Shakshuka is not really synonymous with this dish. Much spicier.
'Putta-shuka'. Love it, can't wait to try this.
Beautiful 😊
its sorta like shakshuka!! cool!!
Il mio nono favorito! I just love you! Salute! Con Con!!❤
CanYou please tell me the name of the music you have playoff along?
is just beautiful.
You are an Italian food God!
Wow
I have done something like this before using leftover meat sauce over the egg and adding mozzerela but this sounds better.
Oh yes I'd like to have it over with garlic buttered toast like the kind of ciabatta bread you have there also like eggs Benedict style also I'm into Fusion Foods now just to try it I really like to keep Traditions such as they are mainly but it's fun too
Definitely!!!!!!! Oooooo yum yum yum!!!!! Making this for breakfast tomorrow!!!! What is the real name of your peppers???? I would like to grow some.
I like you and your food 🙋💜❤🌷✌
NOTHING IS BETTER THAN THE CHIBATTA BREAD HE USES , ITS AWESOME. HE IS A TRUE GIFT TO THE COOKING WORLD
Wonderful recipe. I may have to sneak some sausage in to Tom sauce...and hope ya don't mind, I gotta add some fresh garlic to the bread! YUM
Very very super.
