Been a fan of this band since i heard this exact song, their newer stuff is really good as well, embracing the darkness and eerie feeling even more. And yea that drummer is sick, he also plays in a grindcore band so he got those chops, but know when he needs to use it for this music.

Yea, these guys are excellent. Unfortunately a few members have changed since this video. Cammie, the lead singer, and Dobber, the drummer, are still with them, and are pretty amazing imo.

This "drag" and heaviness you mention is characteristic for doom metal.

How have you watched this video? According to YT it's blocked worldwide. I was in the middle of posting a text update with the GDrive link in it for this video when I saw your comment.

@zooloo73 Thanks for the info. I went ahead and posted the Google Drive link just in case something happens but it appears to be working for me in the US as well despite YT stating otherwise.

@tenmilesfm I'm working on getting around these blocks. I'll have a channel update type video out either this weekend or next with information (as well as a request for feedback) on my plans to avoid copyright blocks.

I'd love to see Leprous' Contaminate Me live from Rockerfeller. Some very intricate textures but with the dramatic urgency and intensity that an impressionistic focus on texture and colour often pushes aside. I think you'll really appreciate it

No blocking here in Boston. Great song and reaction. I've never heard of this band but I'll be hearing a lot more now!

Good to know. I'm hoping that YT made an error and it isn't actually really blocked. That is a more desirable outcome than their systems just being backed up and it eventually ending up being blocked.

Hello I have a lot of songs and band you can check out, but I cant name them all so its hard to pick one. But Lost Horizon - Highlander (The One), Daniel Heiman are amazing singer and one of my favorite swedish singers, it sad that they just made two full albums before split-up in mid 2000. Daniel Heiman have recently doing vocals on Dimhav (2019).most of the Lost Horizon songs from the two albums is in my opinion very good. But Highlander (The One), Pure, Cry of a restless soul and Sworn in the Metal Wind are my favorite songs from them.

You absolutely need to check out stuff from their latest album, but probably in your own time as their label seems to block reaction vids super quickly. Love your insights and analysis, breath of fresh air in the reaction genre.

Why though? I wouldn't have heard of them and put them on my Spotify playlist if not for this. Do they really want to avoid exposure and reach?

Oceans of Slumber is awesome. I really hope they get a solid footing in the scene.
That said I think the vocalist would be a legend if she was in a doom metal band instead of a mdm band.

Didn't like the guturals though, they sound kinda weak and too distortioned. Some viking blood would fit better imo lol
