Love the look of the fence! We have a white vinyl fence and trust me, you made the right choice because it can be blinding when the sun is bouncing off of it. I am giving it a few more weeks and I will be planting emerald green arborvitaes along the fence for privacy and to tone down the bright reflection into our living room and patio area. Love watching the transformation of your new garden!
Nice video on pruning off dead flowers! I let some flowers go to seed so I have plants next year or so the birds can eat the seeds (like Sunflowers). Yum!
The Chelsea chop is the best way to dead head. Cut off half of the dead blooms, leave some...then when the new blooms are showing, chop the other half. Less stress on the plant and still having some colour, instead of none for 4 weeks or so.
Golly, I had no idea cabbage butterflies meant bud worms! Thanks for that great hint! By the way I love the music you play for us while you work ! Fun stuff!👍🇨🇦
I always love a flower bed after it has been dead headed. It just looks so nice. When you put out your rose care video would you mind sharing about Rose Rosette. There are so many people who don’t know what it looks like and are spreading it because they don’t remove the infected bush immediately. I never see any of the UA-cam gardening channels mentioning it in rose care videos. Thanks for sharing your garden with us.
Oh Janey😢! When you put it like that about Sterile Plants, it makes my heart ache❤😮. I see why we need to soothe them with their 'junk food', ie: fertilizer... But still, aren't we just selfish humans😅? Gave me food for thought 😻.
Very informative! Once again you've proven yourself to be a great educator! I've been gardening for decades but I usually learn something new with each of your videos. How interesting about not having to go down below 5 leaves when dead-heading roses! My grandmother taught me to garden and boy was she insistent on the 5 leaf rule! 😂 So I've never strayed from it! Even taught my own granddaughter to do it! 😄 Great video! Thanks!
Thanks so much for the sweet words Deborah! Being of help to you and all is one of the things that makes me the happiest! And I love the education of future gardeners - the best 💗
Thank you!! I learned so much!!!! - I have peonies after 5 years!!!! I’m so excited I put rings around all 6 plants so I can enjoy this long awaited show😅😂
I'm a deadheader PW or not. My Supertunia vista Jazzberry and Suberbena Purple Amathyst I made baskets with and planted in my large window box needed deadheading. I know they say you don't need to but I hate all the spent blooms. Maybe when they get much larger and established I wont see it as much but its only been a few weeks. I'm just a neat freak that way.🤗 Thank you for sharing.
After seeing your 10 gallon pop up bag (I had 30 gal Fiskar with hard shell bottom and liked it for bigger projects) I found one on Amazon with hard shell bottom but different brand…I really like the 10 gallon size!! Oops…my new bag is 16 gallon, not 10!
Hi Janey 🌺 wonderful work . I always do the same as you in my garden . I loved how your climbing rose became it looks amazing .Janey you must plant other climbing roses and the flowers of peonies looks so beautiful .Have awonderful day .🌻🌺🌻
Everything in your garden is looking wonderful...it's beautiful. I no longer work so it's much easier for me to come out and just dead head a little bit each day but sometimes I slack on that. I have a question with my Dutch Iris and my Bearded Iris foliage, do I need to let it yellow and brown like daffodils before cutting it down? I'm not sure what I do with that in order to make sure it comes back next year. This is my 1st year growing them so I'm an Iris newby. I just love them. I am definitely going to put more Iris and Tulips into my garden this fall for next year. Thanks for your videos I absolutely love them. You are the 1st one I watch every morning.
Can you please give an example of a “one and done” flower? Also, can you please tell me the brand name of your water hose? I tried to find one like yours and I couldn’t find it. Thanks!
My pop up bag looks the same! Maybe one more year out of it but I did go to my doctor for a tetanus shot bc I keep scraping my legs with the rusty wire! Ain’t nothing going to keep me from running my mouth! Lol
Great job explaining how to deadhead geraniums. I Just learned that technique a few months ago so I'm glad you also shared it. ?? I'm just curious... did you pull out your creeping Jenny?? I didn't see it in the Crepe Myrtle garden. Stephanie ~ NJ zone 7a
The arch rose has grown so much up the trellis just since the garden tour! Everything looks great as usual 😊 the tour really inspired and motivated me! I’ve been working more diligently in my garden! Getting my great sandal tan going on 😂
If foxglove are a biannual, why wouldn’t you just pull the whole plant? This year I had my fist foxglove bloom and I am having such a hard time deadheading!
That’s a great question, I thought they only bloomed in their second year and then died. So I thought people just pulled them out too! Hope somebody has the answer for us! 😊🇨🇦
I plant Camelot Mix which bloom their first year and in zone 9b will come back again a second year. A lot of my blooms this year came from last years plants AND new seedlings that I planted in winter. That’s why I love Camelot Mix! Hope that helps! 💗
I love gardening but I am terrified when I see a grasshoppers 😩😩I can’t even watch the UA-cam videos how to get rid off them because I am shaking even when I see their picture. 😭😭😭

I didn’t know the white moth was this signal that bud worm is in process. Thx so much
Glad I could give you an early sign to look out for!

Oh my goodness you have the best heart Alysen!! 💗🥰😍 yes we are absolutely selfish and should appreciate what flowers do for us more! 😆🌸

This was so satisfying! Love watching videos like this!
Your garden looks beautiful! Yes, you motivated me, had to pause the video and go deadhead 😊
Okay, that makes me VERY happy!!

You’re so welcome, thanks for being here Lee 💗
Deadheading is like a cleanse. I enjoy the process. Thank you!
Spring cleaning at its finest, right?!
I have never been sure about where to make the cut when deadheading the different plants, so thank you for this video, Janey!
Thank you Janey. 🌷💚🙃
Happy to help Judy!
Hi Janey!
Learned new info from this video! Particularly, the updated info about deadheading roses is very helpful!! 🌹🙏🏾
Thanks so much Emily 💗

Great tutorial Janey! I really enjoyed it, and I am definitely inspired to do the same in my own garden. 💐
Oh good! Your plants will thank you later 💗
You did an excellent job! The garden just got more beautiful!
Thank you so much!
I can’t believe how tall your Cala lilies are!! I’m in a Texas. I grow them in pots but I’ve never seen any as tall as yours. They are so pretty
Thank you! This was a great video and definitely gives me motivation to deadhead! I love how your garden has so many different plants!
Thank you Deanna, glad I could help with a little motivation 💗

I love how neat and tidy it always looks after! I actually was not sure about deadheading peonies, so now I’m going to go tidy them up. 🥳
I am learning so much. Thank you so very much. What kind of spray do you use to prevent butterflies from infesting your plants, please?
Hi Janey 🌺 wonderful work . I always do the same as you in my garden . I loved how your climbing rose became it looks amazing .Janey you must plant other climbing roses and the flowers of peonies looks so beautiful .Have awonderful day .🌻🌺🌻

A one and done flower would be a flower that only blooms once a year, for example the bearded iris @ 14:07. I'm not sure about the hose brand 🤔.
Your garden is beautiful does the giant calla Lilly like shade or does it get any sun?
❤
My pop up bag looks the same! Maybe one more year out of it but I did go to my doctor for a tetanus shot bc I keep scraping my legs with the rusty wire! Ain’t nothing going to keep me from running my mouth! Lol
When do you plant your fox gloves? Are they annuals in 9b ? Thank you!
Great job explaining how to deadhead geraniums. I Just learned that technique a few months ago so I'm glad you also shared it.

I trim my roses! We have black spot and spider mites here in zone 8 , GA
Yup! An important step!
What pruners do you like to use?
Corona Garden Tools are the best!

That is so interesting! I later thought “maybe she’s keeping the foliage so she doesn’t have to fill a hole?” 😆 maybe I’ll try that variety next year!
Ive checked and im not missed your garden tour. Did i??
Yes, a week and a half ago I think
