+Coldkill2001 The original version of this song is called "The Penis Song" and is done with a completely different musical arrangement. This is the Naval Medley version of the The Penis Song.
It was also the one they created for the final show they did a couple of years ago!
+LukesVideoLounge they were not allowed broadcast it on live TV 3 years ago. so they very cleverly wrote around it so on the night of the final. TV viewers got Michael Palin in dressed up as woman. to explain why the people at home were not allowed watch the penis song live from the o2. very very funny they way. the pythons put the boot into the censors. Dara o braoin explained the whole thing.

It's interesting to hear ‘fanny’ used here with its customary American meaning, when I've been informed that the meaning has shifted slightly forward in the British Isles.
Yeah I think that's from Eric living in America for so long. 'Fanny' always means vagina here. No tushies or butts here either.
Not true, I fear. It's had the sense of "cunt" in English since the 18th century. The meaning in American is the latecomer.

This is a fairly recent remix and I love it. Eric Idle is brilliant and a valuable member of the troupe (along with Neil Innes RIP). I met Graham Chapman (RIP) in Toronto.

Yes, but mainly the original "Penis song." Pretty sure they added the other verses/created the medley for live performance. If the vagina and bottom verses were in "The Meaning of Life", I'm not sure where.
