      I've been trying to reunite with my natural cycle after stopping hormonal contraception. It takes a long time though and sometimes I'm worried about my body and if it's still okay. This helped to feel what my body can do and that makes me believe in myself. Thanks for the journey, namaste 🌞💮💕

    To everyone who might feel guilty about leaving out some vinyasas: I am a yoga teacher myself and if I don't feel like doing them, I'm just relaxing in downward dog. Listening to your body is the most important part of yoga!

    For some reason, my cat always knows when it is time for my daily yoga, and loves to meow and rub against my legs and arms all throughout my practice begging for love, especially during down dog (it's her favorite, I think). She must sense and be drawn by the peace I feel during my time on the mat. Today, she was intrigued by Benji being on the screen and put her paws up on my computer to check out what was going on. Thank you for your videos and for everything that you do!! Namaste

      my cat comes to my yoga sessions too. She loves to meow and spread her body on the ground next to me.

      I pulled my yoga mat out for the first time in a year, and my cats were very excited about it, rolling around on it and weaving around my arms and legs while I worked through the flow. I think they just like to feel involved.

      My two dogs especially in the beginning would come join me. Blue and Bella, mostly Blue though. They still do sometimes not as much as in the beginning. But blue will do downward dog with me on command and both of them will come do corpse pose with me at the end it's pretty funny I have pictures of both and then once in a while by accident blue does thread the needle and of course they both do upward dog you know because the poses were named after that and blew always lays in pigeon pose which is just freaking hilarious to me.

      My cat does the same thing. She'll lay down under me when I do downward dog. And, if I'm struggling through a pose, she will twist her body around like liquid cat and be like, "See, Mom? I can do it!"

    Struggled today, quite tired, but as a former comment said from a yoga teacher, don’t try to do all of the vinyasas and don’t feel guilty. Well, took her advice and feeling good ❤

    This was a great little flow practice. I had trouble getting into my body because I had a monkey mind today but I did my best. I am defintely getting stronger in my body and mind. my flows felt strong and on the left twist my center was completely off! I litterally kept falling over. I just laughed and know that's where my body is today. But I'm proud of myself for going for it! To anyone who has a monkey mind like me - just keep going. Some days are easy and some are not. But that's life. And the days that aren't easy it's a wonderful time to challenge yourself to see if you can have grace, see if you can find a little ounce of confidence or whatever it is you are working on. I see you and I love you. Namaste.

    Today we’re back in lockdown here in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and as a senior yogi persevering with my very precious daily yoga, I followed through this sequence, adjusting as I go and leaving out some vinyasas. I must keep strong !! So see you tomorrow on the mat Adriene 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🙏💞

    Very energizing practice. Keeping us moving. the time flew by. May 2024.
    I realized the other day I have been practicing with Adrian for 12 years now. I couldn’t believe it. I have had stretches of not getting on my mat but yoga has become my place to enjoy and discover my body.
    I have always carried a little more weight than I would like to and have not always appreciated my body. Yoga has helped me to strengthen and value how God made me. I feel much more comfortable with my earth suit these days.
    Still looking forward to my glorified body.

    Dear Adriene, I've always been a huge fan of your videos. 3,5 months ago, I had an unplanned C-Section. Getting back on the mat today, after I've read the topic "Reunite with your body" in your newsletter, was healing for me. I almost cried and my baby was next to my mat, playing with his activity center but also been totally amazed by the way his mom moved and breathed and smiled - because I started to feel like myself again.     Day 13 Trust! What I really liked about this practice was its pace and content, no time for distraction or thinking, being present all time connecting to our body and yep I was completely in my body! Thank you Adriene!🥰❤

      That's a good point, I felt it too! I achieve focus on the body during other practices too, but in this one it's like a bit different, like more concentrated, I think?

    I was having a terrible sock day, all curled up in my bed, covered in blankets. So I forced myself to the mat cause I knew it would help. And man, 5 minutes in the practice and I was already feeling so much better. I was BACK into my body. So thank you

    Boy have I been craving for some love through some gentle yoga practice to start this whimsical Sunday morning. This is truly relaxing to wake up on a Sunday knowing that our pal Adriene is gonna have a new magical practice popping up in our feed in just minutes from the time we drag ourselves out of bed.     Went a week without yoga when my schedule was thrown off (with good things, but thrown of nonetheless). Went back in today and my brain was not at ALL centered on my mat today, but it felt good to move anyways. I showed up!

    I let the holidays break my two year daily yoga streak. Im going to assume my body needed a few rest days. Im proud to say i can still do all the vinyasas. Happy to keep coming to the mat. Breath day 26 2022

      it feels strange and sometimes wrong to allow a busy day to break such a long, accomplished streak. but always remember - yoga guides your way of life. in a day where you don’t practice, allow your breath to guide you to the best version of yourself off the mat (and maybe that counts just as much as rolling out your mat). happy holidays. xx

    I joke that the only person my cat listens to is Adriene. As soon as she hears « Hello party people! » or whatever the greeting is, Willow knows it’s yoga time, and comes to join me on the mat.
    Yoga time for Willow is roll-around time and cuddle time. Work it time for me!

    I have what I feel are short arms so doing the downward facing dog is not, let's say, my go to pose. I wish I could embrace it but I kind of groan when I hear those words.

    Day 20 of Shift, this vinyasa flow practice was similar to yesterday’s but faster and smoother. For me with arthritis, it was less painful and more fun and really got the blood moving. I found it refreshing and left me feeling worked out and positive. Thanks Adriene a very beneficial 18 minutes especially for this senior yogi. See you tomorrow on the mat 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🙏💞

    Whoa, short and easily fixed, I thought. But nah... and I don't even get why it felt that challenging today. I breathed well throughout though, and after that last roll up, breathing out in mountain pose, my head started spinning and pumped this static noise down to my ears! I had to sit down as I realised I was about to faint. Can you faint from intense deep breaths? 🤔 Maybe because I've had an otherwise sedentary day with not enough water and fresh oxygen, I guess... and quite sudden intensity. But such a weird feeling. Align-gang ✋

    So so needed this yoga practice today, thank you so much Adriene. Before the practice I was feeling stressed, sad, angry, and generally all the dark emotions. There's stuff going on in my life at the minute, that is definitely overwhelming me. I pressed play on this video, and came into mountain pose, as I did I burst into tears. I had to pause the video, and I just layed on my mat crying. After a good cry I came back to the video, and felt much better. So much so I lost track of time, and didn't realise it had been 18 minutes. I was really shocked when the video came to a close. Thank you very much Adriene for being there for me today, and everyday. Love to you & sweet Benji. Namaste my friends. 🙏 ❤

    Align day 25. February 2023. Balance was particularly off today, so that was a challenge, particularly the last twists. Otherwise it felt quite good.
    Breathe day 26. December 2022. Wow. That was full on. Feeling warm, even with ice outside, and fully aware of my body.

      Same! Good idea. I still have a difficult time stepping from downward dog to lunge. Maybe extra time will help me.

      PureSoulBliss I have periods I have to slow her down, cracks me up, too! But we still gotta get our stretch on! I adapted after a while, though still occasionally have to laugh because she says, “you can use your blanket to wrap yourself in a love burrito” and that is just hysterical!

      🤣 Yes! This definitely had a different vibe than our recent very chill relaxed practices! I’ve juggled the calendar a bit this week to better suit my Christmas week and did this one today on the 28th. Definitely woke me up quickly and got me moving!

    A full body flowing vinyasa for our Sunday morning practice for our Reunite calendar. I really felt the heat, this senior yogi kept up, excellent ! I love sharing these new Sunday ones, a real connection, especially after reading your beautiful email about the Red Rock Amphitheater, with that awesome photo of those amazing people.     Good morning, follow travelers of the mat . I checked in on my body and it was still there . But I found that it(being my body ) was enjoying the session even if my mind was a bit surprised at the movements and joy some of them gave😮. Looking forward to our further journey along this path .     I think this was the first time since I started doing YWA in January that I was truly able to match my breath to my movements for the whole practice and didn't find my mind wandering and it felt so great!

    ALIGN 🌟 | February 25, 2023 | I've been a bit frustrated with my sore hand/wrist this week, I only really notice it during planks/vinyasas but there's been a lot of those these last few practices! That said this is still a great practice to get out of your head and into your body. It gets the breath flowing and the heart pumping, and those high lunge twists are always a favourite of mine! 🙏
