  • The Alaska and Santa Fe Railroad in the garden of Ivar Aas, is the railroad section missing in the connection between Alaska and the lower 48 states of USA.
It starts somewhere in Oregon, drives up through Washington, through
British Colombia in Canada, and ends up in Alaska.
The scale is 1:29. Track width 45mm.
The diesel locomotives are made by USA Trains and Aristocraft.
The motor car is made by Aristocraft.
The locomotives have 2 engines, one in each bogie.
There are some items from Bachman used on the railroad, but they are not appearing in the video.
The class F locomotives in the video are F3s.
All the locomotives have a 14.8V Li-Ion battery mounted internally. Most with 10Ah capacity.
    Each locomotive is charged separately.
The driving system is Train Engineer Revolution, usually just called
    Revolution or Revo.
The receiver in the locomotives regulates the motors and controls the lights. They also have built-in audio, which is upgradeable from the web.
The hand controls can also be upgraded from the web..
It is used a separate USB device for upgrading, which communicates with the locomotives or the hand controls.
The system uses 2.4Ghz and is very well protected against interference.
In the hand controllers there can be stored up to 50 locomotives, and it can be connected up to 6 locomotives in multiple.
The name and number of the locomotive are used to select the locomotives.
The rails are Peco Code 200 (Track 1.). The switches are home-made with tongues and rails from Peco.
Most of the facility is standing on feet on the ground.
