If you dig or do any action as a group, you can reduce the number of cards to draw but increase the success needed by 1 for each. So in the case of digging when you needed 0 success, you could have changed it to a 2 card / 1 success needed action. Just a tip for the future :)
THANKS for this!! This is the entire reason I played with 2. . . and then promptly forgot about this. HAHA I appreciate you letting me know I will need to utilize this for the future. Gah, hate when I miss stuff like this. This is a negative for playing this in-between other games, I forget stuff :(
One Stop Co-op Shop I believe you can also team up to do actions from hand such as crafting/knowledge is power (ex. Craft walking stick for 1/1). Even if you don't lower the card draw, you may be able to use items to help or just be able to hand off blue card to either character. This was a big trick I learned when playing Don't sweet it tho, the run has been fun! Also I like how you are taking some time in between each video to gather feedback I vote for going east! Seems like there is more stuff to do that way
Thanks for all the tips!! I am going to try and take this into account as I play. . . Glad that you are enjoying the series so far!! And got you on going East!
I know this video is old and you've already made your decisions, but the digging pit is a very obvious nod I think to the Oak Island mystery. It's a super interesting story actually. Oak Island is located off the coast of Nova Scotia and an old pully was found hanging above the ground, very similar to how the game set up the dig. Two young boys began to dig and 10 feet down they came across an oak board platform. After breaking through the platform and digging another 10 feet down they came across another platform. I believe after about 30 feet down they realized they could no longer dig the hole by themselves, so they enlisted extra help. To this day no actual treasure has been found, but many, many people have tried to figure out the mystery, leading to the nickname of the hole being called "The Money Pit". The story has been featured in books, on podcasts (Astonishing Legends did an awesome deep dive into it) and I think there has been a TV show on for the last few years about it also. Anyways, awesome play through! I've really enjoyed adventuring along with you.
You may have already addressed my question but I’ve skipped around to avoid spoilers as I’m playing this curse for the first time. Question: When a card has the walking icon and card cost following it (in lower left of most cards), it means it cost that much to leave that card? Exp. You decide to back track your path and go through a card that has the walking legs icon at the bottom with a +2 & 0 following it. It cost 2 cards drawn from the Action deck to move through the card when you leave it to move to another card? Thanks so much!
This is Mike, and I played this recently :) Yes, you are correct, the cost on your current tile is the cost to move FROM there (discarding that many cards). You can move to ANY other tile that is revealed, unless the path would take you through a non-map tile (like crossing over a rock bridge, etc). If you are moving to a fire or another player's character, you pay 1 less. So while it's very expensive to explore, generally, you can very quickly return to previous locations.
Ouch, it looks like you got broken! Heal swiftly!
Really enjoying your playthrough!
haha yes I did bummer! Thanks for the well wishes and watching!!
Definitely check out the secret '182' on the 313 square and then pathfind the 348 square to see if there's a northern option off of it.
Roger roger!!

I'm so sorry I haven't played this in years! I would recommend asking on Boardgamegeek.com, someone there will know!
