those microfiber pads seemed to work well on that paint. did you test out some foam pads before you settled on the microfiber, or do you usually use microfiber pads?
It depends on the paint and the defects. There are many factors that go into choosing the correct pad, but I just know which combo to use by looking at a vehicle. Sometimes I only need a foam pad (1 step) and sometimes I need a microfiber pad and a foam pad (2 step). It’s mostly based on severity of the defects. In this case the defects were really severe, but the paint is extra soft so instead of using a medium cut pad and polish I used a light cut pad (carpro gloss pad) paired with reflect and essence depending on the panel.
