was hoping someone would mention this! If you watch Botchamania 71 (I believe) there's a story by Bull Payne where he was supposed to wrestle Van Hammer to open the show of 1999, nobody was supposed to go in the pool that night except Rick Flair according to the production team, Payne was fine with this as it would wreck his gear. @@SunshineStateCoasters As an NJ fan, I completely agree. Heck, they can pick any Boardwalk here. Maybe bring back the Gulf of Mexico match as a "Jersey Shore" match

What about that one story Cody told about Dusty having a wrestling match in a war zone in Africa, and both sides stopped fighting to watch the match and then everyone went home without fighting?
If you expand the list to F-tier no-name "indy-er than indy" promotions and events, you could find some more potential entries, like the rental tent in the cul-de-sac where the first "Grand Masters of Wrestling" happened (as seen on W3).
I feel like you could just make a top 10 list of DDT shows in crazy locations. Their sister promotion TJPW did a show at a swimming pool earlier this year and it seemed legitimately dangerous because the wrestlers were having to perform their spots on all the hard slippery surfaces surrounding the pools.
Missing is the road match between Dustin Rhodes and Blacktop bully. Though in a truck, it was going down the road and.... Well, that is still the damndest thing I've seen.
Let it be known, to celebrate the Mall of America’s 30th anniversary they had another wrestling show in the rotunda. Check it out on FITE TV; Minnesota’s F1rst Wrestling did it, called it Saturday Night Nitro and it was great!
Years ago in my childhood, at a wwf european Tour, i was there with my grandma in Austria, tyrol, innsbruck in the bergisel Ski jumping Arena. Front of stage. Lovely memories...
There was a Japanese that took place in a sauna . Mall of America was a copy and paste of a Japanese event except in the Japanese version most of the matches were hardcore so the action went just about everywhere and how isn't the USS Intrepid in this it wasn't a wrestling match as such but you get the point . How about this one a Golden Disc ladder match in a discotheque complete with music and lights ? This was in the UK back in the 80's the contestants were Ironfist Clive Myers and Kendo Nagasaki .
I saw a video here talking about how once, a Memphis based indy promotion had a match that took place in a women's prison. Type in "Bull Pain vs. Soultaker" and you should find it pretty easily.
I'll be honest here... WWE doing MITB at Titan Tower with the rules setup they did in 2020 was honestly what made that year's MITB worth watching and honestly they should bring a similar match back once a year... Maybe Survivor Series next year? 🤔
Recently Nación Lucha Libre (A wrestling promotion by Alberto del Rio) put up a show next to a racing track here in Mexico City. You can look it up as Nacion Lucha Libre SpeedFest. Also, AAA does shows for music festivals.
It’s not really too odd, but there was the time Fritz Von Erich fought King Kong Bundy in the old Texas Stadium in the Cowboys Endzone. Also I don’t recall there being fans.
No DDT Rojo street wrestling? DDT have done shows in a hot spring, all over the streets of Tokyo, a camp site. TJPW had a match in a water park. There's also the Zona-23 Junkyard that could have made the list.
It's not all that crazy, but there was that AEW show at a video game convention. There's a lot of crossover between wrestling and video game fans, but there were likely a lot of people there who were like "huh, yeah, sure, I'll watch wrestling." And then MJF called them virgins. Sometimes the low hanging fruit is pretty sweet.

50-100 k for that "Beach Blast" 💦?! NO way... Did that include all the extras from the filming of the companion episode of Baywatch that didn't air for over a year?!

Honestly you could put like 4 different WWE matches from 2020 on here. As well as WWE HQ they also did a match in a graveyard, whatever the fuck parking lot that Street Profits and Viking Raiders thing took place in, and some kind of alternate dimension where John Cena "fought" Bray Wyatt
The idea of The Rock wrestling a bear on Wall Street is just too funny, but not THAT farfetched... Does anyone remember Terrible Ted the Wrestling Bear? He'd even sell your offense, according to Bobby Heenan!
I honestly thought the MITB matches in WWE HQ were fun and creative (and at least the Women's winner didn't cash in immediately). I wish they could do that again.
I agree, not only the creativity in using the office I actually really enjoyed both men and women competing at the same time. Really added a new dynamic to the match which although regularly fun is very samey

It would be interesting to see a wrestling show like WWE or AEW to take place at a beach, except much more organized.
A modern version could actually be really good, it would just take time and investment and idk if it’s really worth it overall.
I’ve got the perfect location. Wildwood, New Jersey. Their beach is huge, it’s like a 1/4 mile walk from the boardwalk to the ocean.
