Speaking of Bruno, the longest reining world champion in recorded history is a man called Otto Wanz, who held the CWA (Catch Wrestling Association) World Heavyweight Championship for 3,172 days!
@JavanKingCheetah Who the hell are "we"? None of us are in WWE. Besides, the video is about _wrestling_ records that will never be broken, not just WWE records. They brought up a perfectly valid point.
Santino's record may never be broken, but that won't stop WWE from trying every year or 2. I swear, almost every Rumble match has a spot where someone is eliminated immediately and the commentators are all "OMG NEW RECORD???" but then moments later they correct themselves with "nah, false alarm. No new record, folks. Carry on."
Theoretically if Orton stays healthy enough he could easily break Kane's record of most matches if he wrestles even twice a week for another couple of years.
How about The Fabulous Moolah's 27 yr WWWF/WWF Women's title reign (I know there were probably a few short {less than 2 weeks between} breaks in it), before Wendi Richter won it from her in 1984?
Yeah as someone said here, she did held the title hostage during that time And the title she held was ACTUALLY the NWA Women's (now the World Women's) Championship which she sold the physical belt to then-WWF that became the WWF Women's Championship
I don't know about the Kane one never being broken. Orton has admitted that even as he hit his 20th anniversary in the company, he's still got a lot left in the tank. Adding to this is the fact that wrestling as a whole is safer than during the primes of Kane and Taker due to a lot of the safety procedures in place. Granted quotes should be around "safer" given there are some very dangerous bumps still going on, but very rarely in the WWE. I can see Orton even breaking Taker's streak of longevity as he has zero plans of going anywhere else. 20 straight years is also nothing to scoff at either. As for the others on the list, Bruno's is arguably the safest as I don't think the WWE can maintain the Roman Reigns momentum for that long of a time. Sure, his reign as Universal and Undisputed WWE Champion is impressive and he's definitely booked like a true powerful being, I don't see him ever coming close to Bruno's. Hogan and Backland's maybe, but not Bruno's. The only other one that's safe is the famed 83 Weeks for one reason: AEW isn't stupid, or crazy, enough to try and compete with the WWE as it is now. While rating for WWE are steadily declining, that's also the same for AEW as less and less homes have cable.
Ratings for AEW arent down, they're just stationary. Year to year they've gone up some thanks to NXT's being moved to Tuesday's, but they're not seeing the steady decline that WWE does every year. If the rumored streaming service comes around, that would likely change (as a Canadian, I myself have switched over to watching on NJPW World. I have to wait a couple more days before it comes out, but its cheaper than cable, and we dont even get Rampage on tv and have to pay an extra $20 on top of the cable bill to watch on TSN's shitty streaming service), but if current trends continue, AEW could realistically compete with RAW in at most 3 or 4 years.

I disagree on Kane’s record never falling. I don’t see Randy Orton retiring any time soon. The only thing keeping him from breaking that record is a major injury.
I am in the minority, but in the Daniel Bryan loss in 18 seconds, I enjoyed how it was done. Yes we missed out on what could have been a great match, however unlike other quick matches, like hulk hogan/Yokozuna wm9, this one was a great storyline how it happened, a realistic "anything can happen moment", caused good heat/buzz. Won't stop WWE from trying. Every time they try it, it just makes me respect Santino even more because of how much everything has to go right, and how easy it is for something to go wrong. Santino is the only person that's been able to get in the ring, get knocked over the top rope, and hit the floor in less than two seconds. I think I respect him more for being able to pull that off than I do most/all of the "iron man" performers. It's a hell of a lot easier to survive for more than 30 minutes, seeing as someone does it every year.
Number 3 went from impressive to dark real quick I was like damn New Japan pool damn near 200,000 people into a show and then he follows it up with they were forced to be there..ohh ok
Yep, actually twice. Flair beat Jeff Jarrett for the his 15th World Title on Nitro, but then Vince Russo stripped Flair of the title and awarded it back to Jarrett the next week. Jarrett then lost the title 2 days later on Thunder to Kevin Nash, who then awarded the title back to Flair on the next Nitro, then Flair dropped the title back to Jarrett that same night. And that is the story of Ric Flair's final World Title reign ever.

This WWE inspired revisionist nonsense has got to stop. WCW didn't fail, it was just stupidly sold off for no good reason. RAW and Dynamite would love to have even half the ratings Nitro was pulling back then. Was everything perfect in WCW?
