- Hey guardians remember the necrotic warlock poison strand build that we all took advantage of? Well with the new exotic Solipsism Exotic Bond in Destiny 2 the final shape we can make that build even better with the prismatic subclass. With the spirit of necrotic and the spirit of the claw we get bonus arcane needles and poison spread which works with weapons of sorrow. This prismatic warlock add clearing build is next level and you should try it out.

Regular Necrotic Grips has an increasing damage poison that the bond doesnt have, so not exactly the same. Build works either way though. Tried it w my roll of Necrotic and Star Eaters. Pretty juiced.
With that the trade off is def worth on nova bomb, makes a more viable dps warlock

So would you trade necrotic grip only for a class item with stareater and necro or is there something else viable? I dont want to miss the extra dmg from the original Exotic for something less
@Xeno037 I think the extra damage from star eaters is worth the loss of increasing poison tick damage so I will probably keep using the class item.
Came to the comments cause I was thinking the same thing, just run regular necrotics, the damage and overall experience will be way better.
I got one with spirit of claw and spirit of inmost light, it just gets constant needle refresh and I use the lightning slide aspect. I finally broke the chains of being a solo player ⛓️💥
Necro and Syntho is the roll i have, and i recommend using lightning surge, because it increases the damage and spreads the poison
Try out Necrochasm, its precision explosion proccs necrotics perk also after being hit by the explosion bodyshots procc Necrochasms cursed thrall. It shredds entire rooms after its catalyst rework, i can assure you its satisfying XD

I think it’s a good way to promote the idea of those millions of players and (whoever watches this vid) to maybe go look for one. It’s not easy of course but things this cool come with some work.

It does not work exactly the same. Necrotic grips add a scaling poison that increases the longer it ticks. Which is what makes them OP.
The spirit of the necrotic does not add the scaling damage to the best of my knowledge and testing. With this build your base poison dealt from thorn, and your poison from melee should be exactly the same. Essentially using one of them with zero affect.
I tried this out as necro + star eater was one of the first ones I got to drop. Basically, you can run whatever you're running you just don't have to use thorn if you don't want to.
I run this exact build , but instead I use electric surge instead of helion. 3 Electric surges that poison everything they jolt. It clears rooms and is so much fun to play.
I got necrotic/swarmers roll which synergizes better than I expected
Agreed. I run a build similar to the one in the video, but with Nova Bomb, Vortex Grenades and Facet of Dominance with void specific artifact perks as well as Necrocasm. The cursed thrall explosion usually pops whatever tangles I have on the field, having threadlings scouring about laying waste to any stragglers not consumed in the already mindless add clear provided by the rest of the build.
I wished with prismatic I had the one strand aspect where I can absorb my grenade. The builds I could have done with this.
Spirit of Synthoceps should be another good option right? It seemed like extra charges was the main goal, but I'd think extra melee damage (I presume with the Song of Flame melee too) should be pretty good

just got my spirit of necrotic and spirit of the swarm, this thing SLAPS.
Syntho is better on literally every aspect... dmg, output, rotation, downtime etc
i have a variant of this build with exo: necro and swarmers, weavers call and feed the void. i like it because it spawns threadlings. it unravels and spawns more tangles.

Swarm only makes threadlings from destroying tangles off the exotic trait for the bond not unravel

Nope, look at the footage. I have 3 charges and then the 1 charged. Equals 4 melee’s its pretty cool
Claws of ahamkara do work with arcane needle, though for a long time I also thought they didn't
I got necrotic plus syntho, it’s hard to tell if the surrounded damage stacks on spread because everything just dies so quickly but for just the normal arcane needles I’m hitting around 80/100k
I want that combo too, but for a lightning surge melee build.

@@bradshaw1996 sry not sure anymore, kinda stopped playing after act 1 ended, probs not coming back, I’ve still got it stored but I just ended up using getaway artists because they are so easy to build. Unless they have been nerfed in which case another reason why I won’t come back.
@@thapotatonater827 yes they nerfed it, the arc soul does not restore grenade energy on hit anymore.
7:24 i would avoid triple same armor mods in many cases since there are heavy diminishing returns.
you get +10% / +3% / +2% meele back respectively on orb pickup. maybe HP on orb pickup instead.
Ive been a little different with how i set up my warlock.
I set up a killer suspend build on Prismatic Warlock.
I have with syntho but it doesn’t stack but it does kill 5 on a flag with one lightning strike 😂
Not sure is 33% more melee charges is worth it. So many better options.
The og is the boss killer but the class one is great for just mauling the room

I personally got my hands into a Necrotic/Swarmers roll, I'm loving it so far
Yooo same it combines two strand builds into one. I use threadling grenades and devour gets them back so fast and I'm also spreading poison and unravel which create threadlings cause tangles. Its insane for crowd control.
This add clear would be great for hunters

Necrotic grip has the damage increase on the poison ticks, so its definitely not the same as on the bond.
In PvE, the damage of Poison ramps up every tick with the damage increases compounding together:
• 2nd-14th ticks each deal 3.5585 more damage compared to the one before
• 15th tick deals 9.705 more damage than the 14th
• 16th-19th ticks each deal 14.234 more damage than the one before
This is an insane amount of damage difference on the poison imo. Non the less, not a bad build though
The extra arcane needle doesn't make too much difference, I'd rate Starfire higher as radiant now counts as "empowered" and with facet of Dawn+Radiant Orbs, you're going to have it up all the time. This and vortex grenade+facet of dominance works so much better with this season's artifact because you'll be adding weaken & overshield to the mix and recharging your abilities with "Shieldcrush"

Unfortunately not true, empowered is a well or empowering rift. This imo renders starfire useless as you cant use well with prismatic and standing in a emp rift on the field is about as silly as using a glaive
It'd be so cool if that was true, looking to farm it this weekend and would love for it to be changed to include radiant and friends
