I have one that is a different brand that I use on my 560 and have done a 9 hour pork butt cook and it only drops 1 dot on the power indicator and hardly register any power usage on a 5 or 6 hour rib cook. It works great with no issues at all .
I'm possibly not understanding the pork butt reference - you actually use the power bank to cook things? How do you do that? I'd love to see a video on that.
Interested in the long term testing. I had a couple of these type chargers, and they just didn’t last long, mainly charging with a cord. I only charged them in the sun a couple of times. I don’t remember the brands. Good luck.
I have one. Nice as a battery, powerful torch (flashlight) but once on it is impossible to turn it off. Read it should be a short press but that just cycles through different flashing modes.
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ thank you Tom. I had a hard time finding it for some reason. I found it just about the time I read your reply here. Thank you for the review.
That just defeats the purpose of you can’t just leave it out in the sun to recharge itself. What’s the purpose of the solar panel then. Will be looking at other ones then
Well, its really hard to find a solar panel power bank that will get you a good charge. Loads of power banks with solar would take you around 5 hours to get you a full charge. Some reviews say they will take you about 5-7 days.. This is most likely why sellers have said to use it for emergency's mostly, as its not much use to use it normally. And i dont know if leaving it out in the sun for hours is a good idea as it can over heat. But it can save someone's life during an emergency. I believe almost all of them are said to only give out 180mA, or like this one 360mA. Yep, we are all tryna find a fast way to charge our devices by just using the renewable energy from the sun. We could expect to see alot more power banks with solar panels that can reach more then 1A in the future though, which may then be used as normal way to recharge, But yea id suggest find one without solar for normal use, and find one with solar if your more likely to be lost while camping, or somewhere in mountains and stuff.
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ I got them a couple of weeks ago and now have them fully charged by the mains. Haven't tested it with the sun yet but look forward to at some point soon 👍
