Its very clear: if you want good coffee in the morning and have $600 budget, get the Breville. If you have $1200, get Breville + better grinder. If you have $3600+, get Decent DE1 after getting an excellent grinder like DF64V.
The morning waiting time for the Bianca to heat up can be eliminated by using an external timer. For example, my Londinium is plugged into an Apple Home device which is set to turn on at 5am. By the time I enter my kitchen, between 7.30 and 8.00, the machine’s group head is nice and toasty and ready to pull excellent shots.
I know this is a year old, but I have had the breville express for 7 - 8 years now. definitely keen for something new
Just stared with espresso and bought a Sage Barista Touch and a Eureka Mignon Turbo and love it as a beginner setup.
Have you tried the steamer tip from the Pro on the BBE? My only problem with the BBE is the steaming is a little weak :/
Hello Hoon. What is your internal burr setting on barista express set at ? And external? 🙏🏻 please
Where did u get the glass tubes to store your measured coffee beans ? :)
How is the steaming on the Breville Barista Pro vs the Breville Dual Boiler
The are both now Breville products 😃
Bianca’s next model will be encased in plastic.
A very nice Video! I had a machine from Sage it is comparable with the Breville. Now i using a Delonghi EC 685 ( which i used before) and i grind with a grinder from Eureka Specialita. This is the best couple in my eyes. The Delonghi is modded with a Steam Lance from Ranhillio. I bought better sieves and bottomless portafilter. So i getting the best tasting coffee i tried before:)
Lelit Bianca on average will take around 18-20 minutes to get up to brew temp of 95 C (203 F). Of course Bianca could be set to 90 C or lower but that all depends on the roast level of the beans. Compared to a Breville (40-45 seconds to be ready), Bianca will take an eternity to be ready for a shot but that is like comparing apples and oranges. Just as a fair comparison, Lelit Bianca is one of the FASTEST machines to be at brew temp when compared to other E61 type espresso machines (others can take as long as 30 minutes or more).
For espresso enough 10-12 min.
Get a timer for your e61 and set it 30 mins before you get out of bed, no waiting
I liked espresso (but mostly cappuccino) so i purchased Lelit Anna(with PID) and Eureka mignon manuale for home. It was REALLY good budget combo. It took me far in a year i had it. But i hated so many things in the workflow. It was very hard to get same shot from lelit (even) back to back. Really unpredictable, even with IMS basket. Making 2 cappuccinos was a painful experience and when we got friends over, it took so much time to make 5-6 cappuccinos. Switching between espresso and froth temperature took long time (even considering making all espressos and then frothing milk for all of them). Steam temperature and pressure went up and down a lot and only good way how to get good foam was to temp surf. Bianca is about 1000 dollars cheaper in Europe compared to US and im very happy with it. Its much more forgiving when pulling a shot because of the paddle (and df64 grinder ofc). Its hard to get same shot back to back, but only because its fun to experiment with the paddle. I got 20 bucks smart wifi plug and i just schedule it whenever i need it. But i work from home, so time is not so much of a factor.
I tried the same espresso with the express impress and the bianca with an expensive (500 euro) grinder - its a night an day difference , it tasted not even remotly the same. And i did a perfekt puck prep on the impress without the integratet tamper. The Express impress and i am sure the express aswell are just crap - grinder is bad and the temperature that they clame to have is also not right. But true its just 500 euros. So for the price i think its good but idk if u trink your coffee with milk and sugar it doesnt matter but for espresso forget the express
I need help with my Brevail espresso maker I am having a problem with the strength of it it does not reach nowhere towards the middle part at the top for a good strength mine only goes up till like the second notch and I’ve change several times the settings on it and I’ve even done the manufacture reset as well let me know if there’s any other way to fix it because yours comes out perfect out it’s always at the top right in the middle for the strength while mines is still at the bottom. Anna is also very loud when it comes to the ending part of brewing.
Hi Jackie, (I think you are talking about the pressure) you need to grind your beans finer (When using the single wall basket). If using a Breville grinder in the BBE and you are at the finest setting on the adjustment wheel then you need to remove the hopper and set the internal burr to a finer setting, mine was set to 4 from 6 to get into a good espresso grind. So at the end of a shot the lower end Breville units BBE and Infuser will bump up the pressure at the end of the shot making more noise. I think this is done to keep a 9 Bar extraction while the puck erodes. Now using fresh beans you can achieve the 9 bar pressure much more easily. Some store bought beans can be 1 year old before the best before date. This is not so good for hitting the 9 bar pressure.
Can confirm everything harry said. Sounds like grinding to course.
Yes, the Bianca certainly takes longer to reach brew temp (30 mins minimum when factoring the E61 group). However, an automatic plug/power outlet does eliminate this issue, especially with regards to catering to anyone's daily routine.
Also hoon, I think you forgot to mention the flow control paddle on the bianca which allows for a lot more customisation, a feature that is usually only found on commercial level espresso machines.
Totally agree with you on how everyone has different preferences though 👍🏽
Have to say mate love the videos :)
Can you do a video on the barista pro vs dual boiler? I already upgraded my grinder to a niche and trying to decide if I want the dual boiler now :)
Lelit Bianca in this video is a dual boiler. You should know that a full size prosumer espresso machines with a E61 group head will require meticulous puck prep to avoid water channeling. There will be lots of frustrations in the beginning when pulling espresso shots with an E61 type machines. If you don't have the time or patience to learn new steps then you may want to go the Breville route. It will be much more forgiving.
@@jwb1227 I was talking about the breville dual boiler. Not sure if that’s the same or not
@@carynmcgrenra5967 Oh I see.
@@carynmcgrenra5967 Hi Caryn, the Breville Dual Boiler is not the same as the Lelit Bianca Dual Boiler. I have the Breville Infuser and Breville Dual Boiler. Do you have the pro?
@@harrydog6795 yes I know they are different machines. I currently have the pro
My Breville Touch ..
No comparison - you can buy 4 BBE for one of the other! Plus you need a grinder! 🤔
Yeah but BBE grinder is not that good
@@petervansan1054 not had any problem with mine and I’m enjoying my Americanos every morning!
@@gailfrohnert9561 i had same grinder standalone And it was inconsistent. Now I have DF64 much better.
@@petervansan1054 I guess when my grinder stops being efficient, I’ll look into getting a separate grinder, but at 2 years in, mine is working fine.
You'll probably have to go through 4 BBEs to last as long as a single Lelit. They don't last long. Cheap parts.
How can you even compare these 2 they are for completely different audiences XD
2600 $$ for Americano according to Kev the coffee botherer is blasphemy
The Breville is a consumer machine. No comparison to say Rocket
I think, the commentary can be... more "get to the point." A lot of unnecessary comments, a lot of time wasted. And I don't know what's the key difference... Sigh... Need to go to another video.
