      Hi thanks for the install video. Do I have to add servo buddy and/or flash the ECU? My bike didn’t start today one day after the install and I put the battery on tender and it started. Wondering if the new exhaust is causing the battery to drain?? Any help is most appreciated

    • @Tremonte

They are part of the header, the new one is installed and there are no extras parts anywhere. They must have been in there and I didn't notice. Everything is nice and tight and secure..
      This exhaust sounds amazing. What a PIA to install the db killer tho, I kept dropping the screw and washer into that little hole on the side of the exhaust can.. I had to take the can back off and fish it out. 😆

    I'm in the middle of this Yoshi install on'19 ninja 650 and I'm having a hard time fitting the exhaust bracket with the supplied spacer etc, there's not enough room! Help!! Tremont any suggestions?
    Edit:
    I need to call Yoshimura, there's definitely a difference between the '18 and '19 Ninja 650 in terms of the width the exhaust mounting holes are spaced. Motoworks sent me a Yoshi pipe manufactured in 2018, and this aluminum spacer is just a little bit too big. I bet there new ones come with 2 diff size spacers, smaller one for 2019. I cannot get the exhaust mounting bolt hooked up, the ones don't have enough space to all fut together so I can insert the long mounting screw.
    I'm so pissed, my bike is apart and this time of night I can do shit about it. I had to stuff some clean rags into the engine exhaust holes
    2nd Edit: holy crap, I got the exhaust installed by myself this time! It was a pain in the ass, but I reversed what the instructions said, i did spacer, then bushing, then bracket and I was able to wedge the bracket in, once the spacer and bushing were lined up. This actually helped and worked out better because there hanger for better to the bracket..if I followed instructions, I think i would have had a problem hiking up the exhaust can and hanger to the bracket. Anyway, it looks sick, it's nice and straight and sounds mean as hell

    I know you've mentioned it in your videos, but can you truly slap this exhaust on with no ECU tuning and be able to ride it without future engine problems? I want it, but I don't want it to destroy my bike in the long run. Especially since I've got the 3-year warranty and wouldn't want to be denied if it runs lean enough to destroy pistons and what not.
    I'm interested in getting an ECU flash done, but the aftermarket for the 2017s is still trying to catch up so there's not much out there right now.

    • @Tremonte
      @Tremonte  7 років тому +2

      +YNRChewmiester by the results I got on the dyno, and by what Yoshimura claims, you do not need a fuel controller. You will be missing on some power gains and throttle response no doubt. If you run the Yoshimura with the baffle in, it runs less lean than it would without. The Yoshimura is also a Kawasaki approved aftermarket exhaust and I was told that as long as you didn't crack open the engine and mess with the internals, you would not void the manufacturer warranty.

    • @Tremonte
      @Tremonte  7 років тому

      The reason I went with Yoshimura is due to the relationship Superbike Unlimited has with the company, the price point for dollar to horse power over the other brands, and they advertised the dyno results up front. We will be doing our own dyno and posting personal gains soon. If a team like SBKU runs the same pipes on track proven, and series winning bikes, it's gotta be good stuff. :) And yes, I can tell a difference without tuning already. The bike responds much better in the upper RPM ranges.

      In many places they're not street-legal, but you won't get in trouble because bikes don't go for emissions testing and the cops won't pull you over and inspect if you're not riding like a dingus.

      I didn't need new gaskets. The bike was brand new at the time of install, and the existing ones were in good shape.

      SithLord 69 it does! Over mobile devices you can't tell how deep it is. But on PC with the speakers or headphones, you get a much better idea.

      You mean you don't always wear earplugs already? I'm in my 60s and audio loss (from the wind noise, not the engine) is no fun.
