Great video again Gordy. What I'm starting to understand is that an MTB on a slope works similar to a motorbike: if you lean it over and hold the bars level it will turn somewhat. I'm starting to use that to my advantage especially on berms - see what you think as it'll help on trails like Accelerator.
Adam certainly has a curse on him when it comes to hamsterly that's twice hes had to go home without riding and I understand a day or so after this ride he snapped his rear mech. . Was up Hamsterly last Sunday with a group of lads i met last time. This time we rode some other trails staring at Pikes teeth and finished off on special k and the loop. An eventful afternoon starting off with a snapped chain for one lad but i carry chain tools so it was fixed within minutes. Then later of special k one of the lads had an off on the bomb hole. He simply hit it too fast and ended up rolling down the bank after jumping too far on the exit. Luckily just some cuts and bruises . Ill be editing my video of the ride this evening or tomorrow . Hope we get to ride together again soon mate.
yea i didn't fancy that bomb hole lol way worse than it looks on cam. stupid thing is my multi tool has a chain tool on it lol, i just didn't realise. we gonna start equipping ourselves better from now on. money's tight for both me and adam at moment so it's not always as easy as just going out and getting everything we need ! getting there though. yea mate looking forward to our next ride!
yea in UK blues are the easiest, then red then black. i'm still not 100% confident on all red features yet, but now i'm venturing into blacks i'm hoping it won't take too long before red features don't intimidate me any more!!
decent session there..! shame about adam tho, but seems to be an issue with emtbs when people rely on the motors too much (on a higher setting), i know he bought it second hand (so not blaming him!), but maybe worth buying a chain measurement tool, as i replaced mine after 1761 miles when it was approaching the .75 mark... and i carry loads of tools like a shimano quick link etc...tho, hoping i don't have to use them..! that said, a spoke on my rear wheel snapped on sunday when i was riding down a road... had to slowly ride home, and found a guy on the web called 'durham bike repairs' as it's on the cassette side, and he also picked it up (hope i haven't been scammed haha), and he's giving it a quick service too..
@@DownhillDesireMTB yes, maybe the quick link..? - i replaced my chain for the first time a few months back, and from what i recall i wasn't able to click the quick link into place using the master link pliers (far too hard!), but had to put my foot on the pedal and the pressure of that did the trick..!
If you want to see how i've improved over the last 11 month then check out my first time at Hamsterley! ua-cam.com/video/ZBPIsCbsKEM/v-deo.html

cheers Adam, yea hopefully 3rd time is a charm for you at Hammers lol,
You are definitely progressing - good to see! Question, is a red trail harder than blue but easier than black?
Yes

decent session there..!

funny thing is it was a brand new chain! we are thinking it might not have been put together quite right!
