Looks great mate. Strangely that's not too far from me (when we're not in lockdown!) but I always think of Glentress and Innerleithen being better! Just shows you don't appreciate what's on your doorstep - until you have no choice, and of course they all have a lot to offer. Watching that footage made me realise what a great place Hamsterley is to go mountain biking - even better when its dryer - much faster! Must checkout those Bird bikes too! Their local place is also not too far away either!
Yeah. Lockdown is really forcing us to appreciate what we have close by eh? Hope you are keeping well mate. I really enjoyed Hamsters. If I was going again I would definitely do a couple of days as the drive is quite long. Maybe I'll get down there again this year... who knows though?
Cracking vid mate. Just discovered your channel - really great content. The guys at Bird are super - test rode an AM9 last year, didn't buy one (lockdown budget struck!) but still lust after one. Cheers
Thanks mate. I'm so pleased you found the channel. It is really tricky to get the vids out there so it's awesome that it has reached you. Hopefully you'll get sorted on that AM9 at some point. I love mine 🥰
Defintely. Tomas who I was riding with says there is a hell of a lot more off piste to explore. It did hold up well to the weather. I'm not sure if they have less traffic on them or not? Good times 👍
That bird factory is the holy grail of mountainbiking! looks awesome! That hardpacked dirt looks so good, and those natural-off/piste trails, don't know what to say about that hahaha
Another one to add to my list of must visit biking destinations next time I'm back in the UK. Thank you for another high quality video. Glad to see you're growing.
Bloody hell haha, that was immense, great riding, some hairy off piste moments, i'm still getting to grips with super steep, vast improvement for me yesterday but had to bail out of one ridiculous shute into a berm haha, don't you just hate it when you know you need to wipe your lens but can't, superb video mate, i need to get to hamsterley this year 👍
Great video as usual man :). I try and not be a fair weather rider, but its been grim recently ... been missing the trails! Not sure if you’ve been, but you should get down to Danny Harts Bike Park... some tasty trails down there :)
I am with you Brian. I don't mind getting wet and muddy but this has been awful... to the point where I've hardly ridden. I haven't been to bike park. Its defo one fir the list! Let's hope this weather improves!!!
Looked like a cracking day Mate and a good tour around the factory at the end. Did the Mini Enduro at the Forest of Dean today and there were quite a lot Bird bikes there.
Totally. I am really not used to that fast hard pack and I was coming up short on a lot of the jumps. A good argument to try out lots of different places!
Ah. Nothing really Gus. No more difficult than the Tweed Valley. The off piste reminded me of Ae forest in places. The trail stuff is maybe a bit like Spooky Wood but faster and smoother... Hope that helps 👍
If want a true hamsterly ride hit up the local north east team/brand uncrafteduk, the lads will give you true hammers you have only touched the surface 😂😂
Awesome music choice for a factory visit🤙

@@streetpigeonmtb Better safe than sorry. We'll get let out eventually!
Hammers definitely gives you a huge smile, glad you liked it!!!
Thanks mate. It was such a good trip! 🤙

Great video nice tense the trails from a different view
Thanks Brian. I appreciate the comment. It was a really good day on the bikes 🤙
The quality of content on this channel warrants way more subscribers than you have, brilliant videos
Thank you. I really appreciate that. Hopefully the content will eventually get out there 👍
you and dmb have kept me entertained through lockdown, thanks!
No problem at all! I really enjoy making the videos mate and spend a fair bit of time watching others! I hope lockdown is treating you ok 👍
Been to Hamsterley a few times but good to see some new stuff. As Tomas says, there is loads more up there yet. Great clip, please keep them coming.
Thanks mate. Much appreciated. I will make sure I get down there again for some more exploring 👍
Nice to see that Hamsterley is more than the groomed fast flow trails! The trails looked to hold up well to the wet weather as well!

It was such a good day mate. I loved seeing behind the scenes in the factory. It was really interesting 👍
@@streetpigeonmtb Would love that too!!! Still on search for a hell of a bike

Thanks for taking time to comment 👍
Awesome vid mate! Just went for the first time yesterday and loved it. Bone Shaker is so much fun!
Yeah. Bone shaker was probably my favourite. Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Well this has definitely motivated me to get back there soon! Descend is good but looks like there's plenty of variety in the rest of the forest too 👍
Yeah bud. We should head over some time 🤙
Great footage, this is on my to do list for 2020 thanks👍
Thanks mate. Let me know how you get on when you visit 👍
@@streetpigeonmtb maybe a great venue for a street pigeon ride out!!!!.. 👍👍👍👍👍😉
@@christyler4381 yeah. I need to get that sorted some day!
Another quality vid Jamie, loving these! 🤙🏻
Thanks so much Tomas. I enjoyed trying to keep you in sight! You are so fast bro. I have no idea how you ride so quickly but it is great to watch!

Thanks mate. Really pleased you enjoyed it. Yeah, I'd love to be able to wipe the lens but would defintely stack!
Top quality vid, didn't know Bird HQ was there. 👍
They have a Notherly factory 20 minutes away from Hamsterley. They also do a lot of demo days there 👍

That's cool. There are a lot more up this way as well. Good to know they are gathering momentum. As you can gather, I am a fan! 👍
@@streetpigeonmtb Would never have guessed!

Nice to see you at my local mate
Thanks mate. I really enjoyed it 🤙
Haven’t managed to get out since September. 🤞🏽 this week I’ll manage. Great seeing ur channel growth
I hope you get out mate. Thanks for the comment. The channel is getting there 👍
Funny how no matter hard the local trails are - something different makes you think and ride differently :)
Totally. I am really not used to that fast hard pack and I was coming up short on a lot of the jumps. A good argument to try out lots of different places!
Street Pigeon MTB hard to leave the valley though :)
@@andrewsteele348 very!!!
Hamsterley looks amazing and the pace was fast from the off, nice one. Loving the Bird too, I can’t stop dreaming of an Aether since you got yours
Thanks man. Yeah, I was pretty shocked by the pace!!!
Nice trails mate
It was loads of fun. Nice to do something different as well 👍
Good video , hamsterley looks worth a visit . What does it compare to Tweed valley wise. ?
Ah. Nothing really Gus. No more difficult than the Tweed Valley. The off piste reminded me of Ae forest in places. The trail stuff is maybe a bit like Spooky Wood but faster and smoother... Hope that helps 👍
You enjoyed that first run eh? 🤣
😆👍 Yup
Cracking edit mate, really enjoyed it! Was that you on your holidays, going south of the border?! 😉
Aye! I only head abroad for a few days a year. Any more than that and I just miss the weather 😂
nice
Thank you. I'm really glad you enjoyed it 👍
Thats looks epic .. how long would you say it takes to hit all those trails ? Just to ensure its worth theday out 🤘
I'm sure it was just a couple of hours. It's a very compact area so easy to try out a lot of stuff 👍
Just added you on strava so can check it out Cheers Jamie 🤘
We, actually, only have scratched the surface, there are loads of other stuff ;)
@@tomaskupstys7965 that sounds like an excellent excuse to organise another visit! 🤙
Im a Bit late.....but that was a good watch 👍🏼 1st time seeing your channel. Great job you are doing. Keep it up, plus 1 sub from me man 👌🏽
Thanks mate. I really appreciate that as you have some great vids yourself!
@@streetpigeonmtb thanks man 👍🏼always great to hear positive feedback from a fellow creator 👌🏽
Hell yeah. We need to support one another. UA-cam is a beast to crack! So much good content out there 👍
Can you only do this with full suspension, or can i go for it with a hardtail
You could definitely ride a hardtail at Hamsterley. The trail centre stuff was very smooth 👍
I did Hamsterley on a Bird Zero 29 with a few guys from the owners club last weekend. Nowhere near as fast as them, but fun all the same.
If want a true hamsterly ride hit up the local north east team/brand uncrafteduk, the lads will give you true hammers you have only touched the surface 😂😂
Thanks mate 👍
