A really helpful tutorial on using symmetry in Procreate, thanks. It's great that Procreate has finally introduced this essential tool, but it will need a lot of improvement to make it useful. Only having the choice between 4 and 8 planes of symmetry is pretty woeful. Infinite Painter is still far superior in terms of functionality with up to 32 planes of symmetry and better types of symmetry. Come on Procreate - catch up!

Thanks so much for this overview - extremely helpful! I’m having an issue I can’t resolve. When I select rotational symmetry the guide is peculiar. The vertical and horizontal lines appear, but only one of the diagonal lines appears (it runs from upper left to lower right). The other one is missing. After watching your video this morning I fussed with it some more to try to figure it out. It seems if I touch the guide lines the missing diagonal will appear. Any ideas as to why?

For anyone that got lost after she clicked on the drawing grid thing. The next thing she did was clicked on edit drawing grid. Which is right below it. I had to slow the video way down to see what she did.
It's still there! :) Go to Actions > Canvas > Turn on Drawing Guide > Edit Drawing Guide. The options are across the bottom. If you have a smaller screen size or are in portrait orientation, you may need to tap a button that says "Options" to find the symmetry settings

At :37 you went from the canvas menu to the menu above your drawing surface. You forgot to mention how to get there.
After clicking on the “drawing guide”, the option just below “edit drawing guide” enables. Click on that and the menu should appear
