We have a bakery truck with a speaker on top it plays a song. He sells these and other breads. We just wave him down when we want to buy some. I would like to make my own though.
We love the rolls stuffed with pickled jalapenos, cream cheese and ham. But we can't seem to find a recipe for this anywhere. We buy these at our local Mexican grocery store.

1 lb ground and browned beef. Season with Cumin powder Salt Ground black Pepper to your liking. Cut you bollio length wise half way and brown in cooking oil on both sides. Dont cover with oil, just enough to brown. Press bollio til its almost flat. Fill with meat, shredded cabbage,or lettuce, onions, cut up tomatoes, cut cilantro, top wit avocado and salsa. You'll be singing ay,ay a ya,👍😂
when I was a kid living in Monterrey my mom would make us sandwiches with a bread called margaritas it looked like the hamburger bread but totally different taste do you know how to make those I would love to know ty love this channel
These make good buns for sandwiches (tortas). If you had any pretty good filling for guests, homemade bolillos would make a holiday party. My novia de chihuahua made a mexican hamburger con ajo y otros hierbas, put them in a bolillo. It was similar to middle eastern fare. I would imagine in So Cal that Vietnamese use these on occasion for bánh mì. ¿Siempre casero, verdad?
How do you measure your flour? Do you sift it then measure? Do you fluff it and spoon it into the measuring cup? Or do you know the exact amount of grams being used to equal 4 cups? This will make a difference in how the bread turns out so I’m curious
These turned out too hard when making them at that temp for that long..i did 25 mins at 375 f, I wanted to try something a little simpler than what I know but I guess I'll go back to the way it's done in mx. I think using the machine over mixed it and you didn't let the yeast rise b4 adding 🤔 they rose fine but they didnt have the bolillo flavor and were hard on the bottom
What flour did you use? What brand? I tried making these and the dough never looked like yours and was way too sticky to shape. It just stuck to my hands

So these look delicious but when I tried my dough wasn't nearly as sticky, it came together more like regular dough. And it didn't rise much either...any suggestions?
Yasss I’m glad you enjoyed it and Moo worries I personally like to make my breads by hand. You can too ❤ just trust the process and allow the dough to come together knead for 15-20 minutes or u til the dough is elastic, it’s going to feel wet but railways remember a dry dough means dry bread 😅
What if I started too late and have to put the dough in the refrigerator overnight, should I out it in the fridge immediately or let it rise for an hour and then put in the fridge?
I want to make heart shaped conchas. I've seen how in other videos that they roll out the dough and cut the heart shaped dough and let that rise without the topping. Then they add the heart shapped topping on top then bake. But I've seen you let the dough rise with the topping. I have no idea if I let the heart shaped dough rise without the topping like I've seen in other video, or add heart shaped topping then let it rise. Help!
I put 4 cups of flour and the water you input said 1 3/4 c basically I put 2 cups because the flour was dry and the 2 cups made it too wet not sure but I will see how the 2 cups turn out

Switching water and flour to grams for a half batch, it came out waaay too sticky. Had to add a lot of flour to the board to even try and roll.
