The Night Of Fire video is NOT the original one :/ It's the "para para" version (showing how to dance it). Please review the original }:D
My apologies!!! Thank you for the correction 🤘🤘
@@BecomeTheKnight Please also review the music video of Tron Song from Thundercat as part of the same subject of this video }:D
And he was one of the first people to truly appreciate Black Sabbath back in the day 🤘🤘
I never really thought of Holy Diver as cringe. I found it kinda badass. Just something about Dio with a sword fighting enemies that makes him seem even cooler. RIP
It’s Ronnie doing Ronnie shit. If he isn’t wielding a sword then he ain’t doing it right.
Stop trying so hard man, It's cringe. I love the song though.
Dio wielding a sword is still badass no matter what
The guy who made this video is cringe
It's Dio he can make a song about rainbows and fairies and make it sound badass
Christopher Lee led an amazing life, he played Dracula tons of times, He was Scaramanga in the man with the golden gun, Count Dooku in Star Wars and he was also a ww2 vet who hunted nazis
He also had a pretty high security clearance and in an interview, the interviewer kept pushing him to tell her something that no one else knew. He leaned in and whispered "Can you keep a secret?" She said yeah, and he sat up and said "so can I"

I mean, what's scary is he gave Peter Jackson a lesson in what happens when a person is stabbed in the back.
Jackson wanted Saruman to scream when Grima stabbed him, but Lee refused. He told the director that when a person is stabbed in the back, the air suddenly leaves their lungs, resulting in a sound similar to a sigh.
The fact that he knows shows he either saw it happen several times or had to do it himself. Unless the documents regarding SAS and SOE operations during the Second World War are declassified by the UK government (which is unlikely to ever happen), we will never know the extent of Sir Christopher Lee's wartime actions.
I hope Christopher Lee rises from the grave and copyright claims this video and gets all the ad revenue he rightly deserves.
I wouldn't put immortality past sir Christopher Lee. Surely he was just done with everyone's shit and went to rest for a bit.
@@stugeh Rightfully so
This is a surprisingly scientific look at cringe music videos. Leave it to Mike to make the most high class tier list video for the most low class songs. This is why I love this channel.
In my opinion, Rush is one of those bands that doesn't need a music video, their music to me is the reason why I love Rush so much. As for the music video, coming from a huge Rush fan, it is kinda cringy but I do love the song.
Well, actually nobody would "need" a music video, it is just a very common way to promote bands, no matter which kind of music. I like that Rush video, it fits their goofy sense of humour - and they did WAY more cringy stuff with those short movies on their later live Blu-rays... ;)
@@Ray_2112 you're right about that 👍👍👍
I am sure they hated the whole music video trend. The 80's were full of stupid videos anyway, it is easy to add one more. Amazing band though - very good music and excellent musicians.
Sir Christopher Lee is a demi god 🤘
The LOTR story about him talking about the sounds men make when you stab them is still one of the greatest things I’ve ever heard
*Sir Christopher Lee
I love that Christopher Lee was a fan of symphonic/power metal lmao.
RIP Christopher Lee. He was one of the greatest actors out there.
Sir Christopher Lee truly is an absolute God.
Putting the music video of Bewitched anywhere other than SS should be a crime on its own. This is a true masterpiece that expresses a truly fundamental sentiment of existential dread and a poignant commentary on Scandinavian society in the 1980's
No but seriously, this shit is absolutely hilarious and dated in a good way. It is very sincere, they did with what they had on hand and they tried to make the best thing they could with it and I respect that. Plus the fact that the song kicks ass is a good plus, if anyone is interested in Doom Metal they should listen to it, it's a masterpiece of the genre
The music video of Separate Ways from Journey is like a bunch of dads got together and decided to make a video for their favorite band. And i'm all fucking for it, i love how absurd that video is.
Christopher Lee was a 93 year old doing metal, give him some credit
Of course he has the whiskey. It should be the mascot of the channel
It isn’t?
No. Sober Mike should be THE mascot.
Waaaaaaa is it not Waluigi?
It’s like Julian
He should get a whiskey sponsor
Yeah Time Stand Still is pretty silly but I saw a comment once that said "No special effects were used. Rush can actually fly" and I fell in love with it
That's how to sell it properly lol.
I’m so happy Bewitched was included, the image of them all stomping about like that is one of the dumbest funniest things that’ll just randomly pop in my head and get a chuckle out of me regardless of how I’m feeling.
this is copy-pasted from a comment under the dog police video:
Dog Police was a joke side project of a trio of very accomplished jazz fusion musicians from Memphis, TN called the Tony Thomas trio. It was something they did to blow off steam in the studio that sort of became its own thing for a while. They were basically trying to sound like strange combination of Devo and Frank Zappa.
The Tony Thomas Trio is still around (though I think Thomas is the only original member left) and their music (which is primarily traditional jazz) can be found on youtube.
Devo and Zappa combination I have to check this out
Didn't they win a make your own video contest on MTV?I'm 50,and I remember this,as a kid.The hook was actually taken from the theme from Spidey Super Stories, featured on the Electric Company 70's show.
@@scottmitcham6003 Yeah, they totally did, I think. I do remember watching MTV Basement Tapes when I was super little with my dad. My mom used to work 3rd shift, so he'd let me stay up late and watch stuff she wouldn't let me, lol. But yeah, Basement Tapes was a contest where local bands could send in their music videos in an attempt to get it into regular rotation. I am gonna have to check out the Electric Company thing now, heheh. Glad to see I'm not the only dude who knew about this gem of a video.
Christopher Lee is such an interesting man, if you look back at his whole life he did like... EVERYTHING
I'm gonna say it, I dunno if you could call it essentially cringey, but the music video I could watch over and over again is sabotage by the beastie boys. I love it for all of its campiness and absurdity, and the budget limitations that they had on the video I believe actually added to its greatness, making it potentially what I would say one of the most classic music videos of all time.
It would be interesting to see an S-F Tier list of your favorite videos, or those you think are the absolute best quality in production, storytelling, choreography, ect. For instance, I was mesmerized by Michael Jackson videos as a kid, and I'll always love them. Rock and metal does have some pretty amazing videos, and I'd love to hear your thoughts :)
I grew up listening to the darkness and I love how cheesy I believe in a thing called love I think that’s the point of the music video
I'm dissapointed Lick it up by Kiss didn't make the list. A part two maybe, please?
I agree. Also Faith no More's Everything's Ruined
Andy Salter I looove Kiss. But I laugh every time I see that video😂 Sorry not sorry
Faith no more's keyboardist band, Man on Man "daddy" too cringey for UA-cam
Ha. I just commented the same thing. I love Kiss too, but wow. "Lick it Up" just hurts
That music video is god tier cringe. Gene Simmons looks so immensely creepy without the makeup and Vinnie Vincent looks like a girl in it.
15:46 “but I guess can understand what he was going for”
16:06 “it’s hard to understand what they were trying to go for. “
Pick one dude😂
I guess it was hard to understand but he managed it in the end.
*New drinking game*
Drink every time when Mike uses word “cringe”.
you'll end up in the hospital getting your stomach pumped empty xD
The silent cut of Dancing in The Street made me laugh so hard the food I was eating exploded out of my mouth
"On a scale of 1 to 10, Dog Police gets a 1 and 10." - Mike
"These go to 11"
At first I thought Journey - Separate Ways.
But there are two that are much worse.
1. Tommy Seebach Band - Apache (Official Video) / The Shadows Cover
2. David Hasselhoff - Hooked on a Feeling
But most of the '70s-80s were awful ... like letting a bunch of kids in a candy factory and then saying do what you want.
I was just thinking how we have enough UA-camrs, but your channel won me over. You fill a void that we guitarists need on UA-cam.
I subbed on your rebuttal to a Prog Rock critique. You nailed everything right on that one 👍🔈🔉🔊
Everything you said about "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" also applies to "I'm Sexy and I know It"
I have these strange nostalgic fond feelings towards the Bad Touch by Bloodhound gang (and the album it came from in general). Cause when I was like 11 or 12, I had this cassette, where on one side I recorded the Matrix OST and Bloodhound Gang ended up on the other side. And I played that thing in my walkman over and over again. I wasn't that good at English back then, so I didn't quite realize what most Bloodhound Gang songs were about lmao.

The inclusion of Carl Lewis just reminded me of his rendition of the star spangled banner. Oh God!
But what about Christopher Lee as Count Dooku
He sheds the blood of the Jedi men! He sheds the blood of the Jedi men! He sheds the blood of the Jedi men!
@@matthewroberts3125 he sheds the blood of 4000 Jedi men!
What about the droid attack on the Wookiees?
Not gonna lie, I thought the Chris Lee video was gonna be the Rhapsody of Fire mucus video with him being a narrator lol
Or scaramanga. The man with the golden gun.
You should now make another tier list for the best music videos ever, and put Separate ways into S tier as well.
"Bloody Verdict of Verden" has to be one of the greatest inverse proportions between expectation and execution in music history.
Time Stand Still is my favorite Rush song. I didn't watch the music video for ages because the thumbnail looked so awful, but I'm so happy I did. Yeah the visuals are primitive, but if you pay attention to how they move around its actually pretty intricately choreographed.
Appareantly "Dog police" was very popular during nigths during early days of MTV. Todd in the Shadows mentioned them in One HIt Wonderland episode on "Mexican radio" by Wall of Voodoo.
I’ve been binging all your videos for the past week cuz I look at music the same way you do and I’m super judgmental with other people’s taste. I’m so surprised “Wrecking Ball” wasn’t on this 😂 and that “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” was on this at all. It’s so fuckin great.
What do you mean? Each and everyone of this are masterpieces of cinematography with the right amount of colour pallets and perfectly executed shots at the right time
Seeing Night of Fire on this video really got me back into eurobeat.
I forgot how much I liked the initial-D soundtrack.
All the ones on A and S tier are definitely the funniest. Love all those videos, especially Dancing in the Street.
Also NSP's videos are always cringe but in an amazing way because it's on purpose. Love those guys!
Half of these are daft on purpose. Problem is, 'murican kids don't understand anything that doesn't correspond with their own experiences. You have to explain everything to death otherwise they're like "Duhhh, uh dunt undermastand. Dislike".
Now I have to listen to Christopher Lee's album, which I had no idea existed until now.
He has three albums and has worked with rhapsody of fire
Yeah he has a bunch of symphonic metal albums and they're awesome🤘
The magic of the wizard has to be one of the best imo
Lee's Dracula came out in 1958. And it's a great Hammer horror film!
Jesus he lived a long ass time
Love these tier list videos Mike
Judas Priest Heading Out To The Highway (I love Judas Priest and the song itself), the cheesy painted desert background and Rob’s dancing is what does it.
If you plan on making a part 2, definitely include Dark Side by blink 182
Bartenders advice:
Use a big rock of clear ice for your whiskey (very easy to make just look it up on UA-cam). This way the drink stays cold but it doesn’t get too diluted and the flavor remains more prominent. But if u like the dilution then using normal ice cubes is fine of course.
YMCA isn't cringe it's just funny as hell
"Everyone knows this song. Everyone cringes hard." 😳 I ❤ "I Believe in a Thing Called Love." It came out when I was about 16. All my friends loved it too. It's clearly purposefully awkward. It reminds me of the Killers "Read My Mind."
I'm surprised that you didn't have Olivia Newton John's music video for Let's Get Physical up there 😂
Isn’t it part of a movie? Or I’m getting confused
@@santiagoguevara8579 I don't think so
Rebecca's Sweet Music it isn’t, I was confused by maniac of the movie flashdance
One video that I think you missed is Jim Steinman - Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through. Jim Steinman standing on some sort of volcano-like platform trying to look like the rock star he always wanted to be while two dancers performs some sort of contemporary dance routine with an electric guitar in front of him.
There is also a live performance where they recreate the scene from the video which is even more cringe.
Cristopher lees portrayals of Dracula date back to the 1950s and played him in 7 movies. He was also a staple of the horror genre
Some of my favourite cringe music videos are the real early rhapsody of fire videos, specifically rain of a thousand flames, and holy thunder force. They are hilarious
I think every cringe video list should include Power and the glory by saxon. Anyway, the discovery of Dog Police made my day. Thank you.
Could have just had all of Peter Gabriel’s music videos here
The best cringe I've ever experienced was watching Etienne Sin's video for "Remember." PLEASE do a reaction to this; you'll love it
For a possible part 2 video, PLEASE check out Calling All Girls by Queen. I kept thinking “WTF? Guys, you’re so much better than this!” The song is actually good though.
To me some of the higher tier MVs are more camp than cringe (eg. Christopher Lee's song, Holy Diver (well especially Holy Diver)), which in the end end up being just hilarious 😂😂🙈
So are we just gonna make a drinking game where every time he says cringe you take a drink...didn't think I was getting day drunk today but here we go
The holy diver music video is what a lot of people wanna do when they hear this song.
The like to dislike ratio on Friday is amazing
Mike you definitely missed the song/video "Torture" by The Jacksons. I remember this dumpster fire used to come on pop up video VH1 back in the day. Is cringe on its own but when you hear the backstory that Michael Jackson wanted no part of it and they tried to pass off a wax mannequin as being really am in the video it's all the more cringy. I'm sure you must have seen it before Mike that's why I was really surprised it didn't show up on this list
Eifel65 - Blue... I remember listening to this song for hours, and it still is my guilty pleasure 🤘😂😁
I was hoping for Nazareth 'Love Hurts' But Candlemass was a good alternative.
@@deanharkness4738 I love both though, despite all the cheese 😁
Ok for part 2 you gotta have
Who wants to be lonely- Kiss
Queen Of The Reich-Queensryche
Mystic Rhythms-Rush
Cherry Pie-Warrant
The fact that this list does not contain Zlad!'s Elektronik Supersonik or (even better) The Antipope is a serious offence. He would be in the absolute madlad tier
HEY BAY-BEE WAKE UP FROM YOUR ASLEEP
This is the cringiest music video because you put in every cringiest music videos together in one place. Let that sink in.
YOU BECAME THE VERY THING YOU SWORE TO DESTROY!!
Congrats you unlocked 100% power of your brain
I will not let that sink in. (he's got a shifty look to him)
I mean, Bloodhound Gang's music videos are usually pretty weird but I still find Bad Touch's video fucking hilarious
I love how Dead (R.I.P.) from the band Mayhem is in the Bewitched video. This list is pretty spot on in my opinion.
Your channel’s content has exploded in excellence in recent times.
If only the views reflected that lol! But I appreciate ya regardless 🤘 trying to tackle topics I really care about.
One of my favorites is Progenies of The Great Apocalypse by Dimmu Borgir. Fantastic black metal edgelord cringe.
I never had the feeling of cringe I don't think in my life.
Honorable mention to “Let’s Get Rocked - Def Leppard” & “Land of Confusion - Genesis”
Hey let’s get rocked is not cringey. It’s dated, but not cringey
Land Of Confusion is in no way cringey.
I love the fuck out of Land of Confusion. They got the Splitting Image crew to create the video but it is clearly from the 80’s.
If Miracles by ICP isn't here, this list is incomplete.
Fuckin magnets! How do they work?
@@sweettea-ms7ex ohhh man,you beat me to it!!! I had a friend that was a clown posse guy at my last job and I'd always sing that part when we were cooking and he'd be like "shut up dude"😜
How is it that you aren't employed by Rolling Stone magazine? You remind of the guys that do album reviews in a good way. Since I'm way way older than you I had the cringy pleasure of watching several of these 80's videos when they came out. They were just as cringy then. Enjoy your content 🤘🏻💜
Probably because Rolling Stone doesn’t employ anyone whose opinion is worth listening to. I’m guessing Mike’s take on Dream Theater wouldn’t go over well at staff meetings.
@@DemoDick1 it all went to shit when Hunter S. Thompson died
@@karlabramon3520 He hadn’t been involved with the magazine for literal decades before dying, save for the occasional feature article about the W Bush administration
I love Christopher lee's symphonic metal albums🤘
KISS "Lick it Up" could have easily made this list. Still a 70's KISS fan despite that :D
All of Sting's music videos are cringe but he writes songs so well. The Police music videos were clearly designed for jokes though.
Not too harsh on Rebecca Black’s “Friday” video...........and.....Released this video on a Friday? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔. Hmmmmmm. Secret fan? 😂😂🤣
Edit: Oh, hell. The Darkness. I love them. 😍😍😍😂
For anyone looking for S+ tier cringe music video, watch literally any Rhapsody (before they had the of fire) video, they are gold
Can we just all admire you have your own video as a recommendation
20:17 I laughed so hard!!!! 😂😂
There was a kid's show in the early 80s called The Electric Company that had Spiderman shorts with a theme song that went, "Spiderman, where are you coming from, Spiderman, nobody knows who you are." I think Dog Police got their line from that.
Almost every Kiss music video could be on this list
Killswitch Engage's cover of Holy Divers music video is magical.
Sir Christopher Lee essentially did a 100% run of life.
"It's someone's head where someone's phallus should be" [...] "I get what they were trying to go for"
Yeah, what a common imagery.
Now do a tier list of the best music videos of all time
Dancing in the Street is definitely an S-tier video
My favorite music videos are the early ones. The ones where they just put psychedelic art and images on a green screen behind the band ie Black Sabbath's Iron Man. Thanks for the cringe tho Mike, I'm gonna get down this Friday.
Should have included cold shot by srv. Hilarious video.
The best music video is just a well shot video of the band playing. It could be a show or just a studio session. If it’s non instrumental music then I have no solution lmao
The Adventures of Larry and Tina is an excellent music video imo
No, no, no. The Darkness doesn't belong on the list, but if it NEEDS to be on there, it deserves an 'S', not because of cringe, but because it's just awesome!😂
I’m sexy and I know it is a modern masterpiece of social commentary about the hedonistic narcissism of the modern day man.
Journey's Seperate Ways made it into this list. We got 'em boys.
Well, Sting did have a cameo in that new Netflix doc about psychedelic drugs. Those glass animals definitely feel like some 400ug shit
I'm surprised Mike didn't list any black metal videos.
Please do more of these!
"Ding Dong Song" by Günther must stand trial.
How dare you leave out Rick Astley from this list
Holdy Divers video is perfect. Awesome Cringe mixed with amazing music. 🤘
It's so cringe but I can't help but love the Time Stands Still music video
There was a pilot for a show dog police and Adam Sandler was in it.
....
It was terrifying.
First I have to say that Immortal is one of my favourite bands.
Immortal - call of the wintermoon Immortal - blashyrkh (mighty ravendark)
The Jake Paul part was the funniest thing in this video.
