Actually seen her in person once and she truly was that beautiful. When she walked to her waiting limo it's like she floated. I know it sounds strange but it's true. She looked out of her window at us and smiled that amazing smile!!! RIP Farrah, you were one of a kind!!!

@@ethanmendick6571 Never got the chance to talk to her. She was coming out of a back door of a Ballys Fitness center doing a promotion. She did smile and wave to all of us. I was right next to her limo window and she looked up and smiled at me. Unbelievably beautiful!!!

She was America's sweetheart. I remember being totally in love with her as a young teenager. It was nice to read years later that she wasn't just beautiful. She was truly a nice and gracious person too. It irked me greatly when people ridiculed her after her kooky interview with Letterman. She was just a bit nervous and somewhat off her game at a rather difficult period in her life, but so what? Nobody is perfect. Miss you, Farrah. You are still my favorite pin-up girl of all time.

@@bluecollarlit I think the late 70s , ie after 75 and even up to 1981, were great. The early 70s, pretty much like most of the 80s, were a circus in fashion. So maybe different people talk about different things when they refer to the 70s. Farrah Fawcett started earlier, but was a fashion icon of that beautiful late 70s period.

At 4:46 is of course Penny Marshall. Farrah's legendary kindness was evident during the filming of this commercial. The production team labeled Farrah as "pretty girl"-complete with a visible placard on set. Marshall's said "Homely (or ugly) girl", complete with an also equally visible placard. Farrah was appalled and insisted that they change it to "Plain girl". Penny Marshall has often spoke about how self conscious she was during that shoot and how much she appreciated Fawcett's kindness.

Penny Marshall is great in this. You know what's interesting too? The lines Farrah has could have made her character unlikable, but instead her reading imbues them with an innocence that just makes her adorable. I know it's only 30 second spot, but she and Penny have great chemistry. I can totally see a 70's style sitcom starring these too. Oh well, (sigh.)

TRAGIC ENDEED. FARRAH WAS A UNIQUE BEAUTY. STYLE & CLASS, SEXY & KIND. SHE FOUGHT HER BATTLE WITH CANCER WITH GRACE. SHE DIED TOO SOON. WAY TOO YOUNG. GLAD THERE ARE VIDEOS TO KEEP THE MEMORY OF HER ALIVE. AN AMERICAN ICON OF THE 70'S AND AN ANGEL OF A WOMAN.

It deeply saddens me to this day that she was a spokesperson for the American Cancer Society and in the end when she was a cancer patient herself, they couldn't help her. She went overseas to find a breakthrough treatment and she passed away anyway. God Bless her soul, she was a beauty.
