@ThisIsTechToday I was gonna say the same. The mic sounds amazing! I watched a few videos (OnePlus, Samsung, etc.), and the mic always sounds okay at best, but the AirPods sound amazing. Why do you think there is such a big difference between AirPods and the other companies?
Native benefits with the iPhone and their extra chips that they use to have a better connection. The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro on a Samsung phone though is honestly astounding. You should check out my review of those and the tests. It blew my mind in terms of sound quality in a quiet room. In a noisier environment, the airpods 4 really pull a head there.
Serious question: on Amazon Apple AirPods Pro 2 cost $189.99 and Apple AirPods 4gen W/Noise canceling cost $169.00 at these price points which one to get?
Obviously depending on if you prefer in ear or not, because that’s the most significant difference. I don’t like the in ears, I’ll get the regular 4s with noise cancelling
@@healththenopulence5106 what about the fit? Is the fit way better too? 😅 I have been using 3 for a long time now despite the pain. They hurt my ears a lot and sometimes fall out when smiling or talking. I’m afraid 4 will hurt too! So I can’t seem to decide between the 2nd and 4th 🤯
@ fits with less pain when pressing against the ear, i can say for that, connects between devices instantly. best version of non-earplug airpods by far
Way different types. In ear vs out ear. Also, they both benefit from their respective ecosystems. It's way more nuanced and context/preference dependent.
Does it have active individual noise cancelling? I'm sure it wouldn't be much of a challenge for a reasonable AI to identify and correlate noise to an individual and actively cancel all that noise out.
i bought the ANC version. and sold it within 24 hours. ANC didn't suit me, it caused me ear discomfort (felt like i needed to pop my ear) and bit headache. also, the sound volume felt lower than my airpods 3. i tested both at 50% and 4 always felt a bit less sound. maybe mine was defective, but i am sticking to my 3rd gen
Which is a better design considering ears health and hearing capabilities over a longer term? 1) silicon tip like AirPods Pro 2 2) open deign like AirPods 4 with ANC
I bring my Airpods4 ANC and Pro2 when travelling, the 4 are way more comfortable for long period and it's just effortless and magical how they just sit there and disappear when in use. The Pro 2 have better ANC and better sound, but they are more fatiguing, they start to slide out during intense periods of exercise or jogging as your ears sweat and in general they are less enjoyable to use. I would say I use my 4 ANC 80% of the time but the Pro2 are invaluable in those noisier environments.
Interesting! All ears are different, so it's hard to really encapsulate everyone's experiences. All I can give is my own, but thanks for sharing yours!
Like you said, i hate the little rubber things in my ear canal, feels super weird. I converted from the original airpods (they were old, battery drained weirdly etc) to the Sony WH-1000XM4. So the fact apple finally made these ANC airpods, i might buy them for convenience purposes when i dont want the weight/tightness of the headphones.
Hey! Which one should I buy: the new AirPods Max (Type C), Bose QuietComfort Ultra, or Sony XM5 headphones? I’m not worried about the price; I just want something that sounds great. I listen to a lot of hip-hop, R&B, rock, jazz, and other genres. I also want something comfortable enough to wear for long periods, like when I’m traveling or relaxing. I use Apple devices (iPhone and iPad), so compatibility is a plus. What would you recommend?

After using these and as someone who doesn’t like silicone in my ears, I’ll continue to use my over ear cans for ANC. However, the sound quality on these is surprisingly good.
@ you know that’s truly valid ! I’m just getting into earbud headphone trials ! I’ve used production headphones for years but find doing this at work to be fun !
Oh, nice! Did you see the new Sony MDR-M1? It’s a refresh of their classic headphones. Really light! I had a chance to check them out briefly last month. I want to give them a deeper look.
Great video! Could you please address the question about headphone firmware updates? Specifically, the Sony WH-1000XM4 version 2.6.0 update seems a bit suspicious, especially with the XM6 expected to be released soon. People are reporting weaker ANC and changes in sound profile. Could you test this and make a video about it? Thank you so much!
I need help with one thing that I haven’t found being mentioned in any AirPods 4 video so far. I work in a warehouse and there’s often loud bangs and other random loud sounds and every single time that there’s a significantly loud sound in my general area the sound in my AirPods lowers on its own and doesn’t go back to normal for a minute or sometimes even 4-5 minutes. Idk if there’s a setting to change for that but I need help with that because it’s getting mildly annoying now😭
Yeah, it's trying to not blow out your ears by utilizing what is called a "limiter" in the audio world. as for why it takes so long, it may recognize a lot of loud noise around that loud bang and is being cautious about lowering the volume OR it's confusing conversation aware mode. Does sound persist around the loud noises and have you tried turning off conversation aware mode?
@ Yes I’ve tried turning off the conversational awareness mode, I even tried messing with other settings that I just assumed would maybe help but nothing worked. I haven’t really seen or heard anyone ask about this either so I’m extra confused because I can’t seem to find any answers on this

Hi Guys, we got a lot of Headphones already at sale here in Europe. We got the Sony WH-1000 XM5 for 260€, Bose QC Ultra 260€ and the Sony XM-4 for 189€. I am looking for Headphones to listen to music, maybe work out and talk, when I work at home. I tried them all and can't rly decide which one to get. For me the Bose are most comfortable and got the best ANC. The Sony are getting a bit uncomfortable because of the thin ear pads. But the Sony XM-5 got the better Microphone. At home I would wear them several hours (maybe about 5h a day). Which one would you get?
