buds 2 pro are still very good for today even though they are 2 years old. Their transparancy isnt that bad and anc is good, they also are very comfortable and sound great.
I just picked these up today as a AirPods Pro 2 user. With those I had to try numerous different ear tips including foam and they STILL worked their way out of my ears. For some reason these Samsung earbuds stay in my ears. I've been wearing them for about 6 hours now and during that time I've eaten, laughed, worked out, walked around. They haven't budged.
I used Sony for years, I've tried out Bose, I've tried out Apple. I just got my galaxy buds3 pro, which was delayed due to fixing defects. I'm overwhelmingly impressed and I can proudly say, this is the best pair I've ever owned. Fit me perfectly, don't even need to replace the buds, but you can always order memory fit buds for extra comfort, don't always need to rely on stock.

@@xlSham i literally ordered them a second after the event finished mate :D they gave me 19 of July as date and 19 of July (although i received the courrier note that they received the order) i got an email from samsung saying that they wont send it and it will go for internal quality check..... i can't understand why some people have it and some not....
I ordered mine today, and I am getting them delivered on the 28th. Also, with Galaxy Buds Pro (1) trade-in, I got a $100 instant trade-in discount, and I got the Buds 3 Pro for $149.99 before taxes.
I'd rather it take a bit longer and have a quality product than to get a defective one. At least Samsung is working on a permanent fix and acknowledged the issue. Apple blames the users and does nothing until a lawsuit many years later!
9:02 just as a call out, I was able to test this with my Buds 3 Pro. After approximately 2 and a half minutes into searching, it did find the buds inside the case with the lid closed, so that is actually possible. I'm not sure if you went that far into the test there, but I thought I'd clarify that!
@dirtydirtsgt4751 not sure about that, if it took 5 minutes, then the search process on the phone wouldn't capture it. If he tries it again in the 2 minute window like I said, it will find it.
8:53 I've gotten this to work with the case closed on the buds 3 pro. It takes a solid minute to start the connection process, then you can search for and ring the buds. Works really well
Yeah it works for me as well with Buds 3 Pro in case and closed. It actually requires me to turn on UWB to perform the searching, even tho it takes like more than 1 minute to start the detection.
Man! I have never seen more complete review. I know I appreciate your most videos but the coverage on this was amazing. Thank you! I'll buy your custom eq once my buds gets here.
You said you hadn't experienced the earbud tearing, but at 3:21 you can clearly see a tear in the base. Has this gotten worse or effected sound quality?
That's why Samsung stopped the shipments until they no longer do that! Current owners also can call and have them replaced or returned since its a known issue! Im happy that Samsung is taking the time to fix issues before I got mine!
9:06 This is wrong. You can search when both boluds are in the case. It just takes a while for your phone to actually connect to the buds so you can looks for the buds. The timer counts down from 5 minutes, when my phone found my buds, it was down to almost 3 minutes. So it can do it, it's just not instant.
That is such a bad experience. I've tried searching for things until the countdown and it didn't work for me. Either way, the takeaway is that it needs UWB for an actual find my capability, not this half measure.
1. How would you rate the buds 3 pro against the Nothing ear 2024? 2. I currently have the OnePlus Buds 3, which are good for the price. How much better are the Buds 3 Pro compared to them? A significant difference or just a slight improvement? Thanks
I own almost all the OnePlus buds. Tried Galaxy buds and a bunch of other mainstream brands. Nothing imo come close to OnePlus buds pro 2. Especially for the price.
I think it may have been my Razer Hammerhead TWS buds that I used your EQ settings for.. can't recall. Either way, they were an absolute game changer! My Galaxy Buds Pro 3 will be here tomorrow and applying your EQ settings will be the first thing I do. I think I'm even using your EQ settings for my Pixel Buds Pros, which I can't freaking wait to put on the shelf..I hate these things lol. Thanks a lot for your content, your channel is the first place I come when I'm looking for reviews ✌️
Love the review! On the Mic test, the difference between the Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro is really minimal. I just wish you also included the Buds 3 in the ANC test... Would you say the results are also similar?
Good stuff, thank you! I am in the Apple ecosystem but I like the sound of Samsung earbuds vs the AirPods. I just got the Buds3 pro and have enjoyed them. I don’t have an Android phone but bought a Samsung tablet just to hear better musical codec’s and to be able to tweak and update Samsung earbuds.
Thanks for watching! If you EQ it on the Tablet with the custom EQ, it stores that preset into the earbud for when you bring it to your iPhone. A neat little trick!
Awesome review! Thank you! Just got my pair in yesterday and adjusted the EQ a bit. The instrument separation seems fantastic and is wonderful for pretty much any genre, but it's been awesome with my favorite (ska)!
The mics do sound better than the buds 2 pro, but I was expecting less of that bluetoothy sound... The fact that I could hear your voice clearly with the 3 pro, even in the wind, is actually really good.
I've owned the Buds pro, buds pro 2 and waiting to order the buds pro 3. I can say that the dynamic EQ always sounds better then the default. If the buds 3 are anything similar, then the sound quality should improve by a lot once that EQ is selected.
I can't justify myself on buying these when there's such great sounding buds on the market. I'm still shopping but I just don't understand why when there's some incredible buds out there lol
@MrHahaveryhappy I'm a huge sony fan, I love the overear headphones they produce, I did buy the WF XM4S and they were cool, only reason I would choose buds pro over sony is if you have a samsung device. The sound quality and features are unmatched when you have both samsung products.
The quality issues are being worked on which is great, i have preordered them, and i'm happy that i will actually get a non-defective model, which ensures that these earbuds actually stay top of the line where the should be. Galaxy Buds2 and these Buds3 Pro are the best in my eyes.
This is the review I was waiting for. Wasn't gonna make a decision until I saw your thoughts. Not blown away by the Pro's. Not a fan of cabin pressure. The build quality of the eartips looks suspect. But I will definitely be copping a pair of the regular Buds 3. The mic quality sounds amazing. If they fit just like my AirPods Gen 3 (most comfortable for me), then they will be the perfect pairing to my S24 Ultra.
I have 2 sets of Buds 2 Pro. Just got my Buds 3 Pro about 4 days ago. Much better fit and much better sound IMO. The "Dynamic" EQ profile is a great place start rather than the default IMO.
I had the buds2 pro and have now the buds3 pro. I love the new ones so much better. They sound much better and also fit much better into my ear. The buds2 pro I could lose easily when eating, they got lose somehow. The buds3 pro are rock solid in the ear. If you use the 360 mic in the camera app, you can't turn down the volume with the phone buttons, adjust before you start the camera. One point: disappointed with the Samsung case for the buds3pro which came for free because of pre-buy. How can they miss to provide a hole for the pairing button? Drilled a hole myself.
Oh, yeah, even if it's a copy of the AirPods Pro 2 in shape, it's so much better. The sound difference is definitely from codec and connectivity support. The downside of things constantly being updated.
@@ThisIsTechToday both have Bluetooth 5.3 though, looked i the developer options, all bluetooth parameter are identical: both use AVRCP version 1.5, both use Codec SSC, ....

Excellent review thank you. I have owned these for about a month also. No mention of what phone you're using them with or that the high-res Bluetooth codec is proprietary and only works with Samsung phones A couple of additional notes. The tips are proprietary The voice controls work without a phone, like when using with the Roku They don't recharge as quickly as my OnePlus or sound core earbuds. Wishlist: true multipoint, auto power down, LDAC, aptx support Also they're supposed to have dual DACs and a planar driver
Just ordered mine today, with a $75 trade in discount for my buds+! Set to receive them in a few days. Looking forward to using them for both mowing the lawn and online classes.
Awesome video. Very informative. I do have a quick question, though. Can you confirm if the tips on the Airpods Pro 2 are compatible with the Buds3 Pro? I'm asking because this will help confirm that the comply foam tips for the Airpods would work for the Buds. Thanks in advance.
Would love to know how good the new buds 3 pro are for sport. I love the buds 2 pro, they fit so well into my ear and were never even close to fall out, even in more hectic sports like bouldering. I'm concered with the new shape, that they won't fit so secure like the buds 2 do
11:40 I've been using my Galaxy Buds Pro when riding my motorcycle and I use it with a helmet, yet I've never heard any complaints from the other side of the call. they work great even under a heavy layer of material.
Thank you so much for mentioning the allergic reaction on the Buds2 Pro! There are definitely a nonzero number of us affected, and I rarely see it discussed or confirmed.
@@ThisIsTechToday I actually didn't have an issue with the past Galaxy Buds, and unfortunately I didn't realize this was the cause until after the return period had ended. It's still sitting on my desk collecting dust.
Wow what an exhaustive video.Kudos!! Two questions, do we have people reporting allergic reactions to galaxy buds 3 pro?? Mine are manufactured in Aug 24, so this wud be the rectified one and not the recalled ones??
I just ordered these. It will be my 3rd pair of Samsung ear buds. I left my first pair at some job site. I recently dropped the case to my second pair, now the charging is all wonky. I looked it up, wonky is definitely the technical term you are supposed to use in this circumstance.
Thanks for the great review! Now, I am using Samsung phone and iPad. I am currently considering new earbuds between Galaxy Buds 3 Pro or Sony WF1000XM5. I have been using Galaxy Buds Pro 1 for years. The thing is I just would like to have a pair which is compatible both my phone and iPad. XM5 price has gone down to the same level with Buds 3 Pro already. In this case, XM5 would be better choice. Let’s wait for your comparisons with others. Then, I’ll make decision later!!
Hi, thanks for the review as always! I can't find the UHQ audio options, meaning that it is not there. Everything is updated to the latest version including Buds Manager and the Buds 3 Pro plugin, and I have a Galaxy S24 Ultra. I've seen it only on the new Galaxy Fold so I'm wondering if it's going to be available on the next One UI version?
The allergic reaction is is why i am stucks with airpods pro 2 and have nothing to use with my s24u. I have to disconnect from iphone and manually connect to my s24u when i need it. Hope the buds 3 pro won't give me that issue. Can't wait to try them
Watching this on my Buds pro 3! Was super lucky to have gotten mine a week before release date! SUPER happy with them over my old origional Buds Pro! Voice commands are a game changer for me and the blade lights are sick! Not to mention how much better the sound quality is! Couldn't have been more happy with the upgrade!
This was a really amazing and well done review. Your simulated tests were really great. Im in the market for work headphones for the commute and zoom calls when in the office so those mic tests were really clutch. Not sure if i liked the way they sounded on a zoom call but also not sure if it sounds better or worse than a zoom call without them. Great video!
am i the only one who prefers the buds 2 pro sound profile? i mean the clarity of the buds 3 pro is just not what I'm looking for for lessening to music. if someone knows how to bass boost the buds 3 pro to match more the sound of the 2 pro ill be happy to know how
I got the Buds 3 Pro three days ago, and they are hands down the best buds Samsung has released yet. Usually, Samsung Buds sound terrible on an iPhone, but I tried them on my 15 Pro Max and was blown away by how punchy they were. Yes, they sound a little better on my S24 Ultra, but they still sound great on my iPhone. I think they did a fantastic job with the 3 Pro. I traded in my Buds Pro and got $100 off, so they are a great deal for $150!
Good afternoon I know it sounds like a bit of a silly question since there are many nuances to analyze, what are the best headphones (in-ear type and in general anything that is not a headband) on the market currently, in terms of quality? Gracias de antemano por tomarte el tiempo de responder.
Zooming People: "Samsung just copied Apple like they always do" Young GIGACHAD: "I remember a time before Apple obsession, when ALL bluetooth headsets had stems pointing at your mouth"
I’m not zoomer. I remember a time when Samsung got sued to all help for copying Apple left and right and lost. They then started to develop their own identity and it was great. Now they’re starting their pattern of copying all over the place. It’s a pattern across the board and news came out that an executive is furious about it and stormed the offices over it. So no. The stems are the least blatant part of the copying. It’s everything else I said.
i love your in depth review with the earbuds especially with the sounds and ANC but i still have the question with their new AI feature implementation on buds 3 pro(not sure if this only for pro). one that pick my curiosity is the auto translation feature and i wonder how reliable it is
As far as I have seen, this simulated scenarios doesnt reach the real use scenario. Every single video of comparison of buds 2 pro, even this one, put buds 3 pro above.
I jumped on these learning that i could trade my OG galaxy buds pro for $100 off including the preorder discount. Can't wait. Hate the jelly bean design since they pop out if you move your jaw
Great review... I commute on bike in NYC. I love my Galaxy buds 3 pro. What is your take on open ear buds? So I can I hear my surroundings while riding bicycle or just wanting to be aware of my surroundings while walking, jogging or commuting on public transportation. Would you consider the Galaxy buds 3 an open ear bud?
I actually love the design and have zero issues with handling them. Granted, they need to be handled differently - both for the stem design AND how they are positioned in the carrying case - but it took barely a day to master that. The looks are absolutely BADASS! I love how brave Samsung was when designing these. Such a breath of fresh air compared to Apple's design approach. Sound-wise, out of the box they were good, but then with the Dynamic EQ turned on - oh, mama! Disclaimer: I have them paired with a Galaxy S24+. Oh, and the bass? Airpods Pro gen 2 don't even come close, paired with an iPhone! All in all, I am so so happy Android/Samsung phone owners can now enjoy the same sound quality Apple has been providing to those who own an iPhone. Nothing wrong with learning from others and giving up on re-inventing the wheel. If anything, Samsung should be congratulated and not criticized.
@@ThisIsTechToday Cheers, appreciate the comment! And agree to disagree 😊 There are buds from other brands that truly look *the same* as Airpods. Making Buds 3 look like "cybertrucks" of earbuds is a bold and distinct move in my book. Apple didn't invent earbuds with stems, to begin with. Fact is, Samsung just one-upped Apple at their own game.
Buds 2 pro are so good. From this video the ANC seems much better than buds 3 pro, and I preferred the music sound too. The design of buds 2 pro is incredibly classy and beautiful. Buds 3 pro looks cheap as heck
@slothymango I have buds 2 pro it sounds great, and it works really well for me. I recently got a chance to try out 3 pro the first thing that jupms out is its morr comfortable and very light. The sound is great too. I might actually consider upgrading just for the comfort.i would highly recommend trying it out once.
@@yashwanthsagiri854 surprised to hear it is more comfortable. B2p are best in class comfort for my ears specifically at least. I would love to actually try the buds 3 pro in real life, I will probably buy a pair in a few months when price drops a little
I'm not giving my pro 2's either I use soundcore liberty 4 nc and regular liberty 4 for my stems the bud design is one of the bonuses of the buds 2 if you ask me with the rite aftermarket tips I don't have to adjust them at all
Idk why ppl keep saying company A has copied company B, when the whole culture of design language (different from spec techs) is inherently all iterative of each other. Also, if we really wanted to get into the nitty gritty, Apple popularized the stem because they made the design more attractive compared to other companies. It's as simple as that. If i had to choose, I almost like the Nothing Ear stem design better than both companies. Comes down to preference, but ultimately, I appreciate the tactility/pinch of the stem design.
They use the same sensors in the same spot and the earbud attachment mechanism that wasn't found on any other earbud ever outside of the AirPods and you still want to make the argument that it's not copying?
@@ThisIsTechToday Perhaps I should have clarified, typically when using the term "copy" the impression most people get is implying there is a near 1 to 1 replication here, but I personally don't think that's the case. That's just an opinion among a sea of others, nothing more or less. More importantly, my initial comment was posed more as a question supported with a few facts sprinkled with an opinion. Not sure why you felt that you had to come to apple's defense and actually turn it into an argument, lol. You could have just said the first few lines of your comment and I would have thank you and moved on. I come to content creators like you to be more informed and share a few thoughts, but I think I'll pass on all your future videos from this point on. Thanks anyways for all the past content I watched on your channel
Боже, это самый прекрасный обзор на наушники, который я когда либо видела на просторах UA-cam. Спасибо большое автору, за тест микрофонов. Мне очень нужно было это. Уже заказала Buds 3 Pro!
Got mine a few days ago. Not sure what you mean exactly about them not having good locating support? On my S24+ I can locate them whether they're out of or in the case. Other nearby devices can assist in pinging their location and when your phone is in range you can utilize UWB to guide you directly to them along with making them ring. The UWB and ringing function can also be used when they're in the case.
@ThisIsTechToday Oh, I see. That was the one portion of the video I skipped 😅 Only saw you mention it in the conclusion. Basically, on that screen with the timer that you showed, it literally takes like 40 or so seconds to lock on. Then it uses the UWB in a similar manner to Apple. But instead of providing a distance estimate it provides a green ring that fills in more as you get closer with on screen messaging if you're moving closer or further away. At this stage there is also a ring button that appears on screen which will trigger one of the buds to start ringing and flashing while in the case. I had a similar thought when I first got mine that the feature didn't work but discovered you just have to let it sit on that screen with the countdown for a bit longer. So that element could use some work. Making that connection process quicker than 40 or so seconds
@ThisIsTechToday That's what I was trying to say. UWB IS included. It just takes some time to activate. Like I said, that's the factor that could use improvement. It's too slow to activate and as a result may lead to people thinking it doesn't work
No, it isn't. I've talked to the product development team and was a part of an early feedback group, which is why I've had them for three months. UWB is not included. They told me it isn't. It's based on last ping.
I love my Buds 3 Pro. Got a huge discount when I preordered it with my Fold 6 and Watch Ultra. The noise cancelation is as amazing as my Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra and Air Pods Pro 2. I ended up ordering another pair.
Nice review. Really happy to hear samsung is addressing the qc problems and worth the extra wait. My phonexl first earbuds. Look forward to usung these with ultra 24
Thanks for the video. I trust your experience and opinion. So I bought the Sennheiser momentum 4. My question is, would you sell it for these buds? I know it's a different category tho 😅
Great review, thanks, mate. I'm here because, as a "Buds 2 Pro" long time user and "fan", I wanted to know what these new Buds 3 Pro's have over the 2 Pro's. Firstly, not liking the new "stems" or "blades" as Samsung likes to call them. My Buds 2 Pro fit nicely in my ears and are almost flush with the conture of my earlobes, so much so that I can lie down on my pillow with both buds in the ear and not be worried by them. Secondly, I feel that Buds 2 Pro are "fairly" indescret in day to day use even though I have the black colour version. I'm really not sure now why I would want to upgrade. (Edit) .... oh forgot to say that I'm very happy with the sound quality watching videos / music, both treble, bass and clarity with my Buds 2 Pro.
Maybe it didn't work with your Buds3 Pro being early access but I can confirm you CAN use the Find My Device with the Buds3 Pro when the case is closed and both earbuds are inside. I tested it in my office at work. It found them after 2 minutes, it said "Connecting" and then connected to them. I was able to use the location signal to lead me right to them. You're also able to ring one of the earbuds from that screen and the blade will flash as well. This is all while the case is closed and both earbuds are inside.
@@ThisIsTechToday I don't own any Apple products and never will 🤣 But, I imagine it is a bit slower. It did find my earbuds after 2 minutes but that was also with me only like 5 feet away. I'd have to do further testing on my own to see the limitations of how far it can detect them and connect to them.

@dirtydirtsgt4751 not sure about that, if it took 5 minutes, then the search process on the phone wouldn't capture it. If he tries it again in the 2 minute window like I said, it will find it.
Confirm. I already tested with my Galaxy Buds 3 and it recognized my buds (with lid closed) after 2-3 minutes
Yeah but he's talking about the case which isn't the same. The case itself can be located on the airpods.
@@ZetpheriousIn another video I've seen the reviewer locate the case through the app. So I think this video isn't correct
Man! I have never seen more complete review. I know I appreciate your most videos but the coverage on this was amazing. Thank you! I'll buy your custom eq once my buds gets here.
Man you seriously deserve to get to a mill subs.
your comparison videos are always superb.
Best type of audio comparison that actually allows us _hear_ the closest thing to a real in-ear conparison.
You've won a sub from me fo sho.
Wow you are the first person to mention the ear infections I had it and is waiting for the pro3 I'm using buds live still
You said you hadn't experienced the earbud tearing, but at 3:21 you can clearly see a tear in the base. Has this gotten worse or effected sound quality?
I noticed the same in the video.
That's why Samsung stopped the shipments until they no longer do that! Current owners also can call and have them replaced or returned since its a known issue! Im happy that Samsung is taking the time to fix issues before I got mine!
Effected? 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks
Would like to know too :)
I own almost all the OnePlus buds. Tried Galaxy buds and a bunch of other mainstream brands. Nothing imo come close to OnePlus buds pro 2. Especially for the price.
Subbed right away, sir!
Love the way you simulate real life situations to analyse earphone performance.

Joshua! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the EQs. Thanks so much for sharing that with me ands being a channel member!
Love the review!
On the Mic test, the difference between the Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro is really minimal.
I just wish you also included the Buds 3 in the ANC test... Would you say the results are also similar?
Finally the comprehensive review I am searching for .❤
So thankful you were looking for this and found it!

Excellent review thank you. I have owned these for about a month also. No mention of what phone you're using them with or that the high-res Bluetooth codec is proprietary and only works with Samsung phones
A couple of additional notes.
The tips are proprietary
The voice controls work without a phone, like when using with the Roku
They don't recharge as quickly as my OnePlus or sound core earbuds.

This was a really amazing and well done review. Your simulated tests were really great. Im in the market for work headphones for the commute and zoom calls when in the office so those mic tests were really clutch.
Not sure if i liked the way they sounded on a zoom call but also not sure if it sounds better or worse than a zoom call without them.

i mean the clarity of the buds 3 pro is just not what I'm looking for for lessening to music.
if someone knows how to bass boost the buds 3 pro to match more the sound of the 2 pro ill be happy to know how
should work the same as with bass boosting a 2 pro, just going into the equalizer and cranking it up while turning the high end down

Interesting. What makes it feel like a step back?
Zooming People: "Samsung just copied Apple like they always do"
Young GIGACHAD: "I remember a time before Apple obsession, when ALL bluetooth headsets had stems pointing at your mouth"
You got me! Just ordered my pair! Thank you for the details!
I'll still keep my buds2 pro. Thanks
Me too. I don't know if it's worth upgrading my buds.

i love your in depth review with the earbuds especially with the sounds and ANC but i still have the question with their new AI feature implementation on buds 3 pro(not sure if this only for pro). one that pick my curiosity is the auto translation feature and i wonder how reliable it is
Sound to my ears at least that the Buds 2 Pro blocked out a lot of the simulated environment noise via ANC & Ambient better than the Buds Pro 3.
As far as I have seen, this simulated scenarios doesnt reach the real use scenario.
Every single video of comparison of buds 2 pro, even this one, put buds 3 pro above.
Bought them, used them for a day and then went back to my Samsung Buds Live, which are still my favourite in bud headphones.
I jumped on these learning that i could trade my OG galaxy buds pro for $100 off including the preorder discount. Can't wait. Hate the jelly bean design since they pop out if you move your jaw
That's a great deal! And I agree. This shape is way better.
Bruh the super clear call quality was terrible, worse than the buds 2 pro. So hissy. Poor mic quality all around
They look the same. Nothing brave lmao.
@@ThisIsTechToday Cheers, appreciate the comment! And agree to disagree 😊
There are buds from other brands that truly look *the same* as Airpods. Making Buds 3 look like "cybertrucks" of earbuds is a bold and distinct move in my book. Apple didn't invent earbuds with stems, to begin with.
Fact is, Samsung just one-upped Apple at their own game.
Nope, not giving up my 2 Pros to go back to stems. Nope.
Buds 2 pro are so good. From this video the ANC seems much better than buds 3 pro, and I preferred the music sound too.

If your main concern was using them in zoom calls and working from home, would you choose these over the Nothing Ear??
Got mine a few days ago. Not sure what you mean exactly about them not having good locating support? On my S24+ I can locate them whether they're out of or in the case. Other nearby devices can assist in pinging their location and when your phone is in range you can utilize UWB to guide you directly to them along with making them ring. The UWB and ringing function can also be used when they're in the case.
Well, I showed you on camera. I can only report on what my experience is. 🤷♂️
As I pointed out, UWB should have been included. This half measure isn’t cutting it and the user experience is lacking.
Will you review the regular Galaxy Buds 3?

Thanks for the video. I trust your experience and opinion. So I bought the Sennheiser momentum 4. My question is, would you sell it for these buds? I know it's a different category tho 😅
I prefer the buds 3 pro.
Must take forever. Still a terrible experience over UWB.
